I just switched from T-Mobile to AT&T and bought a Samsung Infuse.
It seems AT&T removed the option of non-market APK apps install even if T-Mobile still allow to install it.
Can anybody tell me how to install non-market APK apps into Samsung Infuse without rooting?
Settings > applications > check unknown sources
What apk is that for T-Mobile apk only, I want that T-Mobile app that you can call 5 number without spending your minutes, share it wahahaha. I know its not an app lol

the infuse is the first att branded phone that has the ability to sideload apps out of the box. you can install your apk no problem. you may need astro, to get to the apk or to enable browser downloading of it.

It's called "A-list" should be included in your plan. Depending on your plan

A-list is pointless now. My plan allows for unlimited mobile to any mobile on any network. So basically my plan minutes are only for landlines and of course they rollover.
But about T-Mobile, it would be nice to have a WIFI calling app on AT&T.

Unlimited 4g. I'm sure you've all heard about it. I went and checked it out. Apparently the only catch is you can't hotspot. But since I'm rooted and running cm7 I should be able to still use hotspot with a third party app, right?

Tethering is built into cm7, no need for an app.. and you might need to change the user agent on the device you tether so you don't get the tmobile redirect.

I am on the unlimited 4g, if I use Firefox, default settings, it seems to work fine. IE blows in the first place, but for the sake of mentioning it, and doesn't work, routes everything to a page telling me to buy tethering. I can also torrent just fine. I guess part of it is just the port it's set to listen on, 80, and if there is activity on other ports, so what.
Edit: also, SSL sites work.

I use the hotspot for my laptop and my lady's g2x. She is on the monthly 4g I'm not concerned with using my laptop, it's her g2x that worries me. I don't see how tmobile would catch on. But I wanted to run it by you guys before switching and potentially voiding my contract

so what your saying here is that if i switch to the New Unlimited Nationwide 4g data package i wont be able to tether my tablet to my phone?
That's what they told me but (I may be wrong) if you are using a custom rom or just rooted with a thrid party hotspot app tmobile want be able to detect or stop you, right?

I use Google Chrome & change the user agent. Give that a go.
How do you do that without an add-on
I figured it out. I sometimes forget Google answers all.

The only way I get MMS pictures is if I have my data already on. Is there any way for it to automatically turn on when getting one or to get them through WiFi? My old Samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket automatically turned on data when getting them so I don't know if it's just hangouts or the phone doesn't do it in general. I'm on T-Mobile by the way.

Even using the aosp messaging it doesn't turn on by itself. The only thing I miss from the HTC one
