Uploaded.to sucks. If you download more than like one thing a month on that website they make you register and pay to download. Basically, as much as I would like to play that game, Im not going to pay for an uploaded.to membership to do so. And I cant play without the SD data.

I have no clue why the OP wouldnt put the market link in that original post. That was really stupid. But now ive spent the last 30 minutes making it not even halfway through the apps 242k KB game content download. Even worse, It drops the connection to peer download every five minutes or so and I have to tell it to continue. This better be worth it.
EDIT: 15 minutes later and I still have 100k to download.

Hmm, seems I too am having issues downloading the additional data. I downloaded the apk from the market just fyi. If this is new, I'll try again when everyone stops hammering the d/l servers

Don't waste your time. After I got it all downloaded, it just force closes whenever I try to race. Doesn't matter if I choose time trial or championship it just force closes. Lame.

I guess it needs a facebook account for online gaming I don't have one and I don't want one, so only offline racing is working...

Agree. And maybe the positions where it's possible to build a defence tower as well.

2. Different placement for towers may screw everything up and make the game too easy/unbalanced.

In my opinion it's just barely visible on my Galaxy Nexus, cuz of the higher resolution. Even tho i have zoomed in max. Any chance you could do the maps 16:9 instead of what ever it is now (4:3?)?

The problem is that Samsung Galaxy S2 <screen-size> is treated as normal, although it should be treated as large according android specification.
large screens are at least 640dp x 480dp
normal screens are at least 470dp x 320dp
This is because those specifications actually start to work from version 3 of Android, and Samsung Galaxy S2 is version 2.3. So it just downoads the wrong apk from the market. Currently I am working on this issue. I think I will solve it soon, I will post here about it.

played it on an HTC EVO 3D - thoughts on this
1) rotate the screen, I could have seen the entire thing if it were portrait
2) disable vibrate on press by default
3) needs some sort of music
4) you have these upgrades for new critters, describe them more - I upgraded to squirrel with arrow and belt kind of ripped off.
5) randomly locks up, switches to black screen. I can get out of it just by pressing home, so it's not terrible. Have to force close some times, other times it will just exit.
6) needs more levels open by default
7) Just feels like the critters are a bit underpowered and the levels are a bit short.
Fun game though, looking forward to updates.

I agree with the path visibility. You can do display it after a player clicks on an enemy.. em.. fruit Overall, I kind of like your game, because it has something original comparing to other tower defense games.
Also, application stays active after I exit it using back button and you have to kill it with task manager.

Thank you! Regarding path visibility - you can remember it from the start. At least for the first wave
And the first wave will show you the path for the second etc. etc. It's not hard to remember the path at all, this is my opinion.

Application does not stay active. It goes to background. Because of that it does not consume processor power or other resources. The sound is also paused. This approach is good for all android applications and meets the guidelines. The operating system will kill the process if it needs more memory, you shouldn't worry about it. Just move it to background and forget about it when you done. This is absolutely OK, believe me.
And about a game:

I'll add graphics for xlarge screens soon. But today tablets are supported via 'screen compatibility mode' only.

It's fun, even if it's not the style of games I play

i like cute character and sounds. also it's interesting what highscores other gamers do. it's not so easy to collect all the bonuses and check the power in the end.

My first post on this forum!
And it is to advertise something...
I have been developing an Android-game with a friend of mine for the past few weeks, we called it Kurves.
It's (in my humble opinion) the first decent "Achtung Die Kurve!" (or "Zatacka") game for Android.
Up to four players can join the game, in which you will have to stay clear of the borders and the other aliens.

Kurves is a trembling and addictive multiplayer game in which only 1 player can survive. Grab your chance to be one of the aliens and show your friends who’s the boss on the flat planet!
Once upon a time, scientist discovered a very, very odd planet. The planet was odd, not only because it was flat, but also because it was inhabited by strange snakelike aliens. Since the planet was tiny, space was limited. And since space was limited, space was expensive. And since space was expensive, the aliens were killing each other in order to get some space. And since they were killing each other, … where am I going with this?
BATTLE FOR YOUR LIFE!
In Kurves, you get the chance to be one of them and you’ll have to fight to survive! Kurves is a trembling and blinking interpretation of the classic “Achtung die Kurve!”, “Zatacka”, “Zakutry” or “Cervi” game originally made for DOS in 1993. Up to four players can join the battlegrounds and settle who will be the almighty ruler of the planet! Turn left and right, dodge your enemies and block other aliens paths to free yourself some space! Race to be the first on a spot that might give you the victory! Stay clear of the abyss, or suffer a painful death in the silent depths of outer space…
POWER-UPS (only for the FULL VERSION, find it in the Play Store!)
Ever imagined to possess superpowers? Grab the coins to improve your alien and let your opponents pray for mercy!
» Golden coin «
Gain extra points! You will receive a bonus depending on the amount of players that started the game.
» Invincible «
INVINCIBILITY! The mightiest of power-ups! You will be able to pass through other snakes without dying, allowing you to obtain the higher ground.
» Cloak «
Put on your invisibility-cloak, and activate stealth-mode! Your alien will be nearly invisible: a real trap for the other aliens.
» Cutoff «
Clear some space on the planet by cutting off the tails of the aliens! When crossing another player, the backside will vanish into space dust.
» Bomb «
Warning! This will eliminate your own alien! However, you will receive 1 point for being a hero and sacrificing yourself. And of course, extra points for every other player you drag with you in their death.
» Random «
The random power-up will give you one of the 4 forces, or it might be a boobytrap! When the bomb goes off, it will eliminate you, but also the others around you. You will get points for these aliens!
SUPPORT
Kurves is played best on a tablet. It will run without problems on smaller devices, but please be aware that this might affect the gaming experience. We also suggest you to report your ideas, suggestions, wishes, desires, crashes and bugs via e-mail to [email protected] instead of posting them in the comments. We will be able to solve your bugs faster this way.

We probably won't implement multiplayer over wifi/bluetooth. But there might be a singleplayer-mode coming, and some extra features such as powerups

For the moment, we will not be releasing a singleplayer mode in the next update.
Blaster-powerup sounds good :silly:

yes, with sp mode i meant it for future updates... also a lan mode maybe (things are getting complicated) for in the future

yep both were the same.. i just checked multiplayer on my phone and for the first time saw there was an active player in the room so i'll try again with the gf's phone tonight.

Indeed, we had some problems with the server, but it should have been fixed on Monday. Can't w8 to hear if it worked with your gf's phone

Not yet. We are planning a small (mostly UI changes) update soon. Then we will make a bigger one with, I hope, AI, Pillbug and some other major changes
