Dear all,
I bought an htc chacha in china last week thinking that was possible to update mobile language and idioms into english or better italian, but even in the seller tell me that it Was possible it seems that is not possible because the are only two languages in the settings options and when I try with the market it's all compiled with chinese idioms..
What can I do? Thanks for your help...

thanks for your reply, could you help me suggesting guides or tutorials?
Please, visit the development for chacha forum. You can find EU roms there and the only thing you need is an USB cable. When you plug the phone to the pc and start the rom installation, there will be instructions on screen.
Shout if you can't handle it.

Finally we have a Portuguse/Brasilian rom from i-mate.
Anybody with a i-mate IMEI can upload this rom to FTP of xda_developers.
The rom is: jam_10605_169_10500_ship.exe (40MB)

I have a Optimus QTEK S100. As it is locked for that operator, the only way to use it with other is to unlock it. So far I have not found any FREE solution.
I have the same problem that ATHelp... if you solve that, please let us know.

I have unlocked my QTEK using a unlocking service provider. I paid some money (less than 50 USD) and now I am using a Brasilian GSM Operator without any problem. The unlock procedure is very simple.

I solved today my problem. I had WWE TMN and now i have an Optimus in QTEK S100. it's unblocked and working.
É só descompactar o ficheiro, po-lo no PDA e executá-lo, faz-se um reset e se pedir algum codigo colocas 4 zeros..

Hi wsbrf,
For english you have a large selection of cooked Rom's available and even the base HTC Rom, so you only have to choose which one you want to install. Not sure if you have to first install the Hard SPL on your Kaiser, but this you will find out by reading each Rom's requirements.
For Portuguese, i guess you are not so lucky, i have seen a couple of requests but have not found a single Rom so far, but search the Kaiser Upgrading forum and you might get lucky.

I too had a swedish HTC Tytn II that I changed the ROM for. I did the HardSPL first and then flashed the ROM. Since the keyboard is mapped for Swedish, you may want to use the swedish cab file that remaps it. Even though you don't want the swedish keys, it will be all funky when you type, ie keys not matching what your keyboard looks like.

Hi, mate...
I'm trying to understand what you need.... well, your hardware is swedish, right? but you want your ROM in english or portuguese. The second one is not posible for now, so you can put english ROM and install a CAB to make the autocorrection on portuguese...
The CAB posted in the thread on my signature also changes your hard kb to portuguesse, so this will not work fine for your swedish hard kw, so le me know if i'm right and i'll try to adapt a CAB for you...

Ok, let me try to pack a CAB with the swedis map for your keyboard (this map allows you to use your swedis hard keyb with the symbols you see in your keyb), and the portuguesse autocorrection and dictionary...

I noted you have been able to convert your HTC TyTn II to English. I am a Novice and have a Swiss German Mobile Device which is in German. I have NO ability to READ, Speak, OR UNDERSTAND this Language. I have executed the Hard Spl. that was given and works perfeckly, I have also Ulocked the Simlock as well. This Mobile was given to me as a Loyal client from Orange. So now to USE This Mobile device I NEED the English Rom to operate it properly. Would You be so Kind to assist me in this matter. This would be Greatly Appreciated.

With the tutorial "Rebuild Treo Pro pt-BR ROM Released" (in this section) remake the flashable firmware ignoring point 5/6/7/8 (because you already have the raw dump). Remember that italian use 0410 as number and not 0416.
But if you have problem to make it tell me and i upload the file ready to be flashed

You have a CDMA based device.
Like the readmes all say, if you have a CDMA device you NEED to use a CDMA based ROM.
Flashing a GSM only ROM to your device will brick it.

You can flash any stock rom.
I hope that will not void your warranty

solved my own mess with odin. now i'm back on russian 2.3.6 stock ROM S5670XXKPY (july 2012 update).
so, everything's back to normal. skipped a heartbeat though, have to admit...

da. Alex. are si romaneasca noastra cea de toate zilele, pe care o poti stabili din setari.
sa fii atent, dupa ce rezolvi (cu succes!) instalarea, o sa vezi intreg meniul in rusa. nu ne speriem. te duci in zona de setari si cauti icoana care incadreaza majuscula A intr-un patrat alb. acolo dai click si setezi regionala noastra. chit ca, daca vrei upgrade cu adevarat, ar trebui sa te obisnuiesti cu engleza, ca doar asta-i limba tehnicii mondiale...
