Did gingerbreak work? What version of Android are you using?I have 2.2.2 and it worked.
Sent from my LG-P350 using XDA App

yeah my on version is 2.2.2
I used all versions o ginger break but no thing happened
should I do anything before using the rooting programs such as safemode or some thing
(I checked the sd card and tried different ones, and usb debugging)

Not if the root manual says differently.Ill try to find some other way and I'll post it here

Do you have the full method for that
?
and thnx

Try this www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-root-android-devices-with-universal-androot-app/
Our phone is not on the listcbut you can give it a try(i can't cus I'm already rooted)And don't be afraid that you will damage your phone-the worst thing that can happen is that it doesn't work. After you are done post did it work so that i know should i keep searching.Good luck!

sorry tried it before
but are you ensure that you don't do anything before rooting

Not at the moment, but i know that's not all root manuals are the same(though in most cases you need the debugging if you are rooting over windows/Linux)

Please any solution

Please answer me

hey you only had to downgrad youre device, than root and flash a custom rom.
try it with the kdz update tool (google kdz lg )
but take a different firmware 10.e shoud be ok you can take any version of it.
10e should be ok. i hope i could help you,

No any solution without roms because I heard it may be harmful for the device

I also tried the rooting by DOS and I get
unable to chmod files
and then unable to copy files
Why???

Please I( want solution

What LG stock ROM do you currently have? If it's 10a, then it's one of the hardest to root.
I had 10a, then upgraded to 10d and gingerbreak worked like a charm.

Waw...may i know your rooting guide reference coz i've been a whole day till now using any different sbf files but still couldnt flash

Dude, are you sure that you're using this guide? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6802504&postcount=1
Because downgrading recovery just helps for the normal milestone, not the XT720...
Rooting works also with the universal androroot app

Why didn't you just use UniversalAndroot.apk
It's a one-click kinda deal.
I believe you are referring to milestone root which is not applicable to the xt720. Just use the apk suggested by the post above.

I have tried UniversalAndroot.apk, the latest version (beta). I followed the steps and I got message on the screen, my phone is rooted. However when I tried using Titanium Backup it said "Sorry, I could not acquire root previleges. This application will not work! Please verify that your ROM is rooted and includes BusyBox, and try again."
So, is my phone really rooted? What I missed? thank you.
You are missing busybox!
You need to install it before using titanium backup.

Look i rooted my LG GT540 Optimus Which was running 2.1 with z4root
it worked fine,
Make sure to select Permanent Root,
and make sure that you have the newest version from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953
since my wife clicked the update to 2.2.1 on her optimus one s I have not been able to root it. I noticed on sdx developers there is a way to do it but a bit more involved than any one click type solution.
super one click
Must have put the wrong link sorry. Here's where I got it from or you can go to his wesite shortfuse.org.

Place it on your sdcard and install it.If you can't install it by pressing on it, then get an app installer from the market . Don't worry it's free
I know it says to get it on the phone but I put it on SD and installed. Worked for me
I did root it quite a while as well, but can't get navigon i.e to work, sygic works.

So, superoneclick worked for my 2.3.3, so you might have luck with that. If 2.2, the gingerbreak tool will work. Follow the tutorials on this site. Xda rocks! For Roms, check out the development categories here, as well. I've tried oxygen. It was spartan but fast (which is the goal). Cyanogen mod is very nice, too. But, I am currently running g-t-r. It fits me.
Try a few. Before you do, get Tom manager and create a recovery image and then back up your current rom to to the SD card. Then you can discover what you like with a backup ...just in case

We are talking about P-350 not P-500 they are different we never got 2.3.x from lg and gingerbreak doesn't work in all firmwares (in 3 out of 4 subversions of v10a it doesnt work). As for the roms try pax0r CM7 from sources or Cips CM7 nightly both are very good and stable roms and bugfree. We have many roms but mist are based in these two.I personally use pax0r cm and it works great.

2.3 Re-Root

hey ,
I have recently updated to 2.3 via KDZ method. No problems doing so , updated checked phone info and everything has gone fine. Looking to do a re-root to add a custom rom however "oneclicksuperroot" will not root the phone now , i have google'd it but have no results.
Could anyone point me in the right direction or a quick run-down of what i need to do.
Thanks for your time,
Jordan
Try this. It worked for me on v21a...
Flash zip and retry with SuperOneClick
What I did was searching xda for the newest download of superoneclick and that worked like a charm!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
Download, run as administrator and press root, done!
