I can't find Qik in the market, but have it boy mine and my wife's phones and would like to be able to call them from my tablet. (crazy world, huh?) Until Google Talk works on my Epic 4G, this is the best video chat app I've found, hands down.
I could use Market Enabler to find it...but I'm not sure what to set Market Enabler to, or if that would work. Does Qik even function in Honeycomb?
Right now, my TF Tablet is stock everything (I haven't gotten to tinkering that far with it yet).
Thanks in advance!
This isn't Qik but it's awful close...
I don't know if this will work but you can certainly try, it works on my Transformer!

thanks for the apk, but after I try to sign in it tells me there is a new version available from the market and won't let me do anything else. :-(
If you have anything more up to date, that'd be awesome!
I second this observation, I would love to know if theres a remedy.

The answer to your prayers!
I'll have to send it you in a PM then. Check your box soon and it will be there.
I've tried posting another link all through the night and there must be a BUG in the quick reply cuz it doesn't matter what I try I can't attach a file.
I'd also like the link! Tytyty

it appears that the original post has been removed and it also appears that my posting attachments in the future has been removed from my privies! Yikes, what did I do to deserve that please?
The apk I posted was/IS FREE - any thoughts as to why? Anyone, Anyone...
I don't know, but I would really like that apk! :-(
I purchased a motoactv and couldn't use the notification feature because the app is only able to be downloaded on a Motorola handset through Android Market. I have a HTC Sensation and i get the yellow banner in market.
I was wondering if someone maybe has the Motoactv apk and could lend it out?

you would get my eternal love and gratitude as well if you could post it! but how do you like yours so far MarsVoltron?
I love the concept of receiving notifications on my
Wrist since i always miss phone calls AND texts.
I just can't use the feature since I'm with HTC and not MOTO
I wish it did have more options for personalization, EQ for music, or use it as a remote to control music already on your Android device.
But until I get the MOTOACTV app its a big waste of cash.
Do you also have one?

I tried messing around with my Nook to fool the market into thinking it was a motorola, no luck so far. I hope somebody with a moto phone can get this apk!
I will have a Motorola Droid a little later. I looked on Motorola's list of compatible phones and it was listed.
I was wondering what would be the easiest way to pull the apk? It's my friends phone and don't wanna mess it up.

The way I've done it is to just install mybackup from the market, back up the app to the sd card, put the sd card in the computer and open the folder it backed up to. There will be an apk right inside the folder.
Would love for this app to work with my HTC Glacier Mytouch 4G. The fitness tracker isn't cheap and I want the full functionality. A thank you in advance to anyone that can pull the apk.
Yeah I know exactly how you feel. I purchased it primarily for the the notification feature. My guess is we probably won't see anything till a little bit after the new Razr is launched.
But ill have a droid later and pull it from there.

i got the apk off a droid 2 but couldn't get it to install on my EVO, it would just fail saying application not installed, its attached in case any of you can figure out
after looking into it further it seems like the install fails because it requires access to com.motorola.blur.contacts.permission and blur.service.blur.Permissions.INTERACT_BLUR_SERVICE which both don't exist on my EVO...
anyone know a way around this?
Thanks for posting the apk. I found a way to remove the Blur permissions and it installed on my Samsung charge. I don't get the watch until tomorrow, but it looks like the app is working fine Someone with one check it out and let me know.

awesome...it worked! You da man! I don't know if future updates will install but this is definitely awesome, can you share how you removed the permissions so I'll know how to do it for future updates?
by the way...just tested it with my EVO and the watch and it works great, tried a few test txts and got the notification on the watch, and it listed the contact name too
Awesome I'm glad it works! I just searched around xda for some info on editing apk files and found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695701
Once you get it extracted there is a file named AndroidManifest.xml I opened it with notepad deleted the blur permissions, then used that app to repackage and sign the app. It was kind of a crap shoot on my part but it worked the first try
Awesome! Great job loaded on and paired with my watch perfectly I just have a problem receiving calls through the watch. Doesn't ring or anything with or without a headset attached.

whenever i go to install it says "problem parsing package" any ideas? I'm on rooted device but i doubt thatd be it.
What phone do you have?
You may want to try to re-download the apk. and restart your phone and try again

Did you unzip the app first? I guess I didn't really need to zip it, try this one.
Thanks
Thanks guys have it installed on my Casio Commando, It is working great with text messages.
I dont have it working with phone calls but I think it is because I have standard headphones installed (no microphone) I will test that later.
Thanks a million
This is my first post but as someone who is striving to lose 30 more pounds after losing 55, this is awesome work. I own the EVO and this connectivity was the dealbreaker for me. For Motorola-tied huge to google to hitch their wagon to only Moto phones is a joke, especially on a device that runs Android.
Enough of my rant, thanks again for enabling this on other phones!!

I might be wrong on this, but you might need to pair the headset with the phone and not the watch. So both the watch and the headset are paired with the phone, give it a try.
Is there anybody who could tell me how to capture the screen of TWRP on the Kindle fire?
Appreciation in advance.
Since you are rooted, you can use the android market to get a screen shot app. I use drocap 2

I don't think that will work. When you are in TWRP you are not running the ROM yet and there is no way to open a screen capture app.
Maybe using adb and Dalvik Debug Monitor on your pc.
You can do it with ddms (ddms.bat) as mentioned. Just tested it. Works fine.
Dear Spenda.Em:
I intend no offense or anger. In the future, please give your posts titles that indicate the nature of your question. Not only does this better help to draw readers who might be able to offer their expertise, but it also helps others with the same question find answers more quickly.
"Please help," or the like, thus might be "TWRP Screenshot?"
Yours through thick and thin,

True. I didn't realize that he meant in the boot mods

So I have ICS (ReloadedRom) installed on my Kindle Fire but I also have a subscription to GQ and Time magazine. I was wondering if anyone have the Time magazine apk for share? I really don't want to change back to Kindle fire just for a magazine when ICS is awesome. Thanks.
Furthermore I found the GQ magazine apk but it keeps crashing on me. Anyone have an updated version?
you should be able to download the apps from the Play Store.
Hey guys wondering if anyone can post the time magazine apk. I have a time magazine subscription but am not located in the US so can not download it. It's a free app and was hoping someone might be able to post the apk for me? Thanks.

I was wondering if any developers would be willing to look in to the Moto Assist app, I know there's a few of us that would like to be able to toggle the driving functionality on and off at will.
I work from home programming, so it's great to be able to just vocally tell my phone to read me texts, or answer calls... but then I'd like to be able to turn it off when I go out to dinner haha. I've already tried work-arounds like forcing car mode on, or downloading other apps. Nothing works as well as the stock Moto Assist app, but unfortunately it only works when I'm driving, it must pull from the GPS.
Anyway, if someone could look into this that would be awesome, it's a bit beyond my ability regrettably. Thanks! :fingers-crossed:
Like being able to say.. "okay Google now. Turn on moto assist"

Jeez, this is quite a shock coming from the Galaxy Nexus. I didn't realize developers for this phone would be so sparse.

No kidding. :|
I'll see if I can get around to decompiling the APK today and poke around. Hopefully I can bypass the driving check at worst and just have it always on, or always off.

+1 I think I'll donate $5 to anyone who does this
I thought of this one too
Look at these weird permissions assist has maybe we just need an app with these permissions

EDIT
New finding in SmartActionsHanashi.apk ... there's a service com.motorola.hanashi.CommunicationMediatorService (my guess on which service it is) and I think (I dont do much reverse engineering) we just need an app to activate the service after we edit the SmartActionsHanashi.apk to make the service exported (it is false ATM)...
I would try it myself but with no root I cant reinstall the SmartActionsHanashi.apk
Edit like 4
SmartActionsHanashi.apk also has all of the right resources. so i am 90% sure that this is the apk we are looking for.
If anyone would like to try my idea PM me, you WILL need root.

In all fairness, it's a completely different situation. I know with my Droid DNA it took MONTHS to see anything other than slightly modded stock ROMs.
I'm sure the Moto X community will pick up in the next few months but that being said i'll probably get a Nexus 5 to satisfy my urges.

New development assist app uses new modified smart actions app and there are rules in here that correspond to assist actions but using the ones they have all I can do is confuse the phone..... There are also strange actions that don't do anything except if in the driving sleeping meeting actions ....in the pictures I'm sitting at my desk but in the status bar you can see I'm "driving" but no texts are read and music didn't start either....
Sent from my XT1058 using Tapatalk 4
Edit the command i got to open the assist engine is
adb shell
su? idk i just used it
[email protected]:/ # am start com.motorola.contextual.smartrules2/.app.AboutActivity
AOV is Touchless Controls
I believe LED is Active Notification
use with caution i probably messed up my assist just now
Is anyone still working on this by chance? The only thing about my Moto X that I wish was different is having the ability to switch having the phone read my texts aloud on and off at will. I'm surprised that such a useful feature is limited to only driving when there are so many situations where it would be useful. Being able to do this without needing root access would be ideal.
This would be very useful and definitely be awesome for a work environment.
I am going to try and do it again. I have some new ideas on how to do it!
Will post in here and make a new thread if profit is achieved :fingers-crossed:
I would defiantly donate $10 for this.
Profit
