I'm wondering what cases you all use if you even use them, do you all us screen protectors?
I've got my galaxy s plus in a case mate tough case with screen protector on, the case has saved me a good few times now from drops.

I don't use any case just in case... sorry about that none of the cases ive seen were pleasing to my eye. I have never used a screen protector because of 'GorillaGlass' and never had a scratch.
I use a screenprotector from Hama. After a couple of days there was already one bigger scratch in the glass and many small ones that you don't see directly, although I never put it together with sharp things in my pocket. Now I love the new foil, it's just very smooth to swype on the display.

I have screen protector on front and on backcover i have this from Gelaskins: http://www.gelaskins.com/gallery/H.R._Giger/Landscape_XIX
It's gives more grip so phone is not slippery on my hand....and of course it looks muchmuch better than basic black.
I bought an awesome flip case from Amazon for under $10. Will post the link tomorrow.
Isn't Gorilla Glass supposedto be the tough stuff so screen protection isn't needed? Should I buy one?

Yeah, you can say it's supposed to be tough stuff but don't be too sure. I haven't been using a screen protector. No scratches so far after 3 months since buying the phone.
Search for MOMAX iCase. My sammy looks better with that thing than w/ out it + gives some extra grip. I tried 4 or 5 1-3$ covers from e-bay, you cant even compare them with Momax...

I've tweeted Best Skins Ever, they're making a N4 skin as soon as they can get their hands on one
I hate skinomi bought one for my one x and applied on to the screen, the water stayed inbetween the skin and screen, it also had dirt caught on to it, do any of you know how to get rid of dirt from a screen protector.

It's how you apply it. It has to be a dust free place. Never experienced having a speck of dust on between with different brands of skins on a screen and I also make sure to squeegee out the liquid thoroughly
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Honestly I don't see much difference between these, BSE, Invisibleshield etc. But I usually go with Ghost Armor because they have a stand at mall near me that does the installation and replacement themselves.
They all work fine, but I hate when they are not applied correctly, it makes them pretty redundant.

Ahh I see. Thank you for confirming this.
I had a bad experience with Skinomi.
I hate that "orange peel" feeling when touching (or looking at it). And most of all, the sticky surface. No no no..I won't buy an Skinomi never again.
I'll look into buying an SPG, very good experience with them. The bad? Their screen protectors are expensive, but they worth.
i currently have a sgp ultra olephobic screen protector for nexus s and it was pricey but was worth it
I ordered one and still waiting on confirmation... no ordered processed or shipping... wanted this for as soon as the phone arrives.

Thanks for this, wasn't going to have a cover but the feel a little worried about the glass on the back
How's the overall quality of their body protectors and screen protector? Orange peel, screen degradation, etc? I'm think of picking up their whole kit and just a bumper for my N4

What i dont like about this brand is that you use liquid soap to apply them wth, you put liquid soap on your device´s screen? that can´t be right
Do they ship to europe?
Yeah I never understood the soap thing.I still have the spray from my zagg so I'm just gonna use that
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
You don't actually put soap on your phone, its in the water then rinsed out.
Even though you can't see the soup once rinsed out,
It makes the water have a slight oily substance which helps to cure the skin and helps to apply it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Ima order one. Never used this brand but it will have to do .
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Do these skins cover it all? With the glass I need it on both glass surfaces at minimum. I would also like the sides covered as well. Does this company or any other cover that? Soft touch is great but I baby my devices. Having that extra bit of protection and cushion could mean the difference between getting a crack or not in a small fall.

Fit is nice. But After a while the screen starts the crater and look crappy.

I never had issues with BSE. I tried almost all the other types of skins but I always seem to find myself coming back to their product.

Can you elaborate more? , I don't fully understand
, what do you mean you rinse the water, I know what rinse is but rinsing the water makes no sense to me, sorry English is not my main language
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
What he means is that soap is not directly applied to the phone. It is diluted in water then the solution is sprayed to the skin. The amount of soap needed is very small. It is just enough to make the solution slippery so that when the skin is applied, you can slide it over the device for adjustment.

BSE is good quality, but it has orange peel effects like Zagg and others. I'd suggest something like XO Skins or Skinomi for the screen, as they don't have that problem.
Just ordered one. I use BSE on my HOX and it's fantastic, minimal orange peel effect and feels smooth to the touch. Much better than Zagg or Skinomi imo, I've not tried XO.
Xo is a good company... fast shipping etc but their skins are very rubbery. I'd rather have a little orange peel than have my finger stick. I had that on my nexus 7 and even after a couple months it didn't go away.
I ordered from bse but have never used them before. They claim to have changed their film for 2012 to make it feel better, apply easier, etc. How is their fit?

I guess I would rather be mad that I purchased 3 Full Body N4 sets for $6.00/shipped the pay more than double that for just one.... Hopefully they work okay but I have never really had too much a problem with the Extreme Guards for what they cost and I usually get a great application every time so I will wait it out until we get some REAL good ones coming in... I have never tried XO but I have heard that they are pretty good so def a thumbs up for the coupon code!! :good:

Im not gonna lose sleep about paying 9 dollars for a screen protector, who cares xo is where its at you get what you pay for.
Can someone explain me the differences between the 4 options?
http://xoskins.com/cell-phones/google-skin-protectors-cases-shields-guards-armor-screen
As I get it the last 2 (for N4) are only front or back skin, but what are the first ones?
Thanks
Full body = front + back, not sure about sides.
Case fit = slightly smaller on all 4 sides so that certain cases, like TPU cases, don't peel it.
the videos of people taking these things off worries me a little looks like it places alot of pressure onto the device; id be worried id crack the glass pulling it off :S

Does full body mean the screen as well?
1. Full Body Protector is the front and back protectors. The front covers the whole front, including the curved edge - has cutout for the FFC and the sensors. The back covers the whole glass part.
2. Full Body Protector - Case Fit is essentially the same as the full body protector except it is cut smaller to fit with a case. Meaning there are space on the sides
3. Screen Protector is just the front protector, there is no protector for the back.
4. Screen Protector - Case Fit, look at #2 description. It is without the back protector also.
There are no side protectors.. the reason they gave me is that the material Google/LG made for the side is not very adhesive, so the protector will not stick.
Thanks homie ..just ordered one for 6 bucks on amazon too man oh well I'm sure these will be better and u can't beat 12 bucks and lifetime warranty

Really strange.
I was in Zambia recently for two weeks, and I took an extended battery and a screen protector.
Extrended battery was brilliant! The screen protector got lots of scuffs on it, even when it was in a pouch, took it off when I got home and the screen was perfect...so not sure if it did help or just that the screen protector was easily scratched! I never use a screen protector and haven't put one back on since being home...and all is perfect.
No harm in being safe I guess!
You can search on Amazon .

TOP QUALITY CLEAR LCD SCREEN PROTECTOR FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY buy 2 get 5. very good lay lol
not enuff post to be allowed to post links
Hi guys. This thread is a little old now, but I thought I'd ask again on the thread instead of posting a new one.
I am currently using the Spigen Nano Clear on my s3 mini but I've found them to be easily scratched. Unfortunately, I've already run through all 3 pieces included in the pack within 6 mths.
Anyway, I'm looking to buy another screen protector now and am wondering which brand offers the best screen protectors for our model. I've seen a few glass screen protectors but none are from the bigger companies (feels dodgy). Any recommendations for screen protectors (glass or not doesn't really matter)..? Cost is not a factor if the product is exceptionally made.

I ordered the total body bumper optimized matte body skin..the front screen protector is the glossy finish, but the sides and back are matte material. Honestly, the glossy sides and back looks way better then the matte material, and also the glossy gives a better grip. IMO, go for the bestskinsever total body gloss protectors..those are the best
