Guys i have a problem yesterday my internet was fine then today my internet is not working using wifi by the way. when im connected i can use the facebook, market, facebook messenger. stuff like that but when i use the internet(browser), dolphin browser cant get any internet please help me
Might be the dolphin browser app if other apps can access a connection. Try fixing permissions or reinstalling it.

This can happen when you set up the Proxy and Port Number settings under Settings> Mobile Networks > WiFi > Advanced. Apps like Facebook and messenger will work, but the browser won't.
If you recently changed this to connect to a network different from you're own (like a school's wifi), remove the values so that they are both blank.

Ich have one question.
I got my HTC HD2 on yesterday and it's a really nice device but there's one thing I don't like: If I want to go into internet by wlan, i always have to switch off the mobile phone network, because if i don't do that the browser will use the mobile phone network.
I hope someone understand me and find a solution to make the browser using my wlan while the mobile phone network is switched on.

By Default, WIFI takes priority when it's on so you don't use your data connection.

But when the phone is on standby.. in the background it starts up the data connection on the phone.. for automatic downloads like email, weather etc..
instead of using the wifi.. I had manually turned the data connection off from the settings.. even then the same thing..
any help.
hmm.. i would recommend using nodata. search for it.. its a program that will allow you to turn off mobile internet and use only wifi.. if that what your after?
I'm running android MIUI on my HTC HD2, I have a custom APN which gives me access to my corporate WAN, I use this to sync with exchange, there is no public access to this server, when I jump on wifi at home, I want to force the email app to sync through 3G still, is there a way to do this?
I can achieve this in windows mobile by telling the email account to always use a particular APN when syncing instead of just "Internet" and it works great, I jump on wifi at home and the email uses the 3G connection, but I can't seem to do this in Android... I have tried a few desire and CM7 roms but no luck there either.
I guess I'm hoping for an app on the market or something
I am using HTC Fuze P4600 AT&T in Bangalore, India. Internet explorer is not working in Aircel Gprs settings provided by Aircel Network and also whatever programs(YOutube, Opera(Preinstalled) using internet explorer to download/browse also not working. But It is working in WiFi connections and also what ever programs using Internet explorer.
Anybody will you be provide me a Internet explorer registry reseting or settings to browse in internet explorer.

I have installed Opera Mobile 10 in my phone and using the opera to browse internet now.

I had problems like that for a while, and it was due to a hidden proxy being installed by cab. Check to see if there are cab files in \windows called Hidden Proxy.cab and maybe Remove Hidden Proxy.cab. You want to remove it.
I don't know jack about connections settings, so don't bother asking me for follow-ups, lol. Just try to get rid of the proxy. Maybe you can delete it in the connections settings.

I have tried to delete the same. But it is not possible since the file is in ROM. I tried to disable proxy thru Proxy manger. It worked. Now I am able to Browse thru IE in GPRs settings thanks a lot for the XDA Members.
hello, in these last my phone company has had some errors in connexion system which allowed us to use applications like Orbot uopenvpn to connect to internet ... apparently they solved that problem but left another and is now taking my balance at zero cents and no active Internet plan I can use 3G data connexion (some app like the browser, instvgram ...) but there app like whatsapp , viber and others that I can not use.
I just want to know if there is any way to make those who have no connexion app, get internet ... if there is any app or something like that I would appreciate
Please check APN server & try this method enter to dial #*#*4636#*#* choose the phone sistem & u can refresh update the ping

When I am on 3g network no websites open on dolphin and stock browser but on Wi-Fi I don't face this problem. I can access whatsapp, play store and all apps that access the internet on 3g and Wi-Fi. Please guide the solution. I am using Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070 gingerbread.
May be u would have enabled the ' use only 2g' option in the settings menu.....

In connection type I have tried auto and WCDMA only. Even if it was GSM only (2g) than would that block websites on browser and allow other apps to access the internet?
Try rebooting your phone or ask for network settings from the carrier network

Try going to your about phone settings, and updating PRL and Profile, it may solve your issue.
An alternative option if you have a recovery available, is to flash your radio/modem. I had terrible 3g connection issues, and that solved it for me.
I found the solution. The proxy setting sent by the service provider was 0.0.0.0 and port 0.Changed both to blank and it worked
