Hi all,
I've recently flashed the hypersensation rom with faux kernel and I had noticed I wasn't able to play any flash videos on websites like break and whatnot. I've tried installing flash 11 from mrket and also 10.2 for armv7 from the forums but neither helps. Is there a solution? Thanks!
I had also noticed some crazy stuff like urbanspoon app and various other sites not loading all the way too like.
Bump. Any thoughts? It seems like videos on youtube starts to buffer but doesn't actually play.

Formatted by SD card, and flashed Infused 1.5.1 (a completely clean install). Installed infused kernel on it (latest) after ROM install.
Everything works, but no video playback at all.
In youtube, every single video tries to load, then shows "There was a problem while playing, touch to retry).
In video player - can't play any videos at all, even those that I shot with the phone. Says "Sorry, this video cannot be played".
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling youtube app, rebooting (doh)... Nothing helps.
It seems as if all my video codecs are just missing or something..
I do have Flash installed. Music is working fine, rings are working, voice/calling is working. Only videos don't work anywhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: 1.5.1 Infusion Kernel does that. Reverting to 1.5.0 fixes the problem.

There is no Infused 1.5.1, only 1.5.0.
Do you mean Infusion kernel? If you had bothered to read the kernel thread you'd know that the "speedmod" memory tweaks included in Infusion 1.5.1 caused a LOT of problems including breaking playback, which is why speedmod was reverted almost immediately.
Not sure if this is the same as your problem, but a lot of folks got that error message after installing the official twitter app.
When I used to get that message, videos would work for a little while after booting. After uninstalling twitter, I have had no problems.

Yeah I meant the infusion kernel. You don't have to be so hostile - I didn't read 29 pages of that thread, and local search doesn't work today.
Thank you though, that indeed fixed the problem. I see that he posted a 1.5.0 reverted version, and it does fix the problem.

Thank you, but I never installed twitter app. I did find that it's a potential fix for playback, but not in my case. In my case it was the broken infusion kernel 1.5.1.
Hello,
I just updated my tf101 to ics (ota official). On Honeycomb I think the YouTube app was the app I used to most, it could play HD content at full fps and there were no problems. Fast forward to ICS where every video either skips or lags when a lot of things are moving around on the screen. This has made the youtube app unusable.
When I still had CWM i was also using ICS roms, but they had the same problem, so, I went back to honeycomb and it worked fine again. For some reason I thought the custom roms were to blame so I tried the official ota.
So to my question, is anyone else having these problems? And if so did you solve it? Also, is there an alternative to the youtube app? (I have tried the web version but it's waaay slower than the app at playing video).
Thanks!
No problems here. You could try to goto Manage Apps and clear the cache for YouTube...and then if that doesn't work also clear the data. That would be the first step in trouble shooting.
for my case, is the 720p mkv files lagging, for youtube i notice some stuttering , not anything that obvious though. BTW many have reported video performance dropped dramatically on the ICS
So there is no way to fix this? I tried to download a trailer and it lags as well. So it is not just the youtube app. Shouldn't the tf101 handle videos pretty good?
I tried everything and finally...
I uninstalled adobe flash player, and it stopped skipping around. Wondering if there is a system conflict on this tablet as there is sometimes w/ desktop versions of google and the conflicts between shockwave and flash player... oh well, it worked. Super frustrating.
Hulu Plus is having issues on my P5113 device running custom ROMs, however, the issue is not present when running ICS or jellybean stock roms.
What's happening is that the video will basically shrink down to a half inch bar as is visible in the attached photo. The issue will persist until Hulu is either minimized or it switches to commercials, after which point the video playback will appear normal for a few moments and then the issue will return.
Ive tried all sorts of different ROMs: CM, PA, AOKP, but the issue occurs on all of them. I have also tried tinkering with some of the developer options like forcing GPU playback and disabling HW overlays, but nothing has worked. I am currently running the latest version of hulu available from the Play store, but i have also tried older versions. BTW, there are no sound issues and this issue does not occur in other video playback apps such as Netflix.
I tried searching for this problem, but did not come up with anything. Is anyone else out there having this same issue, or does anyone know what might solve the problem?
Thanks for your help!

Having the same issue here, on my p3113 running cm 10.1. I installed the modded hulu from the posdt above, but the video quality in the app is terrible. Unless I'm doing something wrong? Any help would be awesome as I love this ROM, but really love hulu more haha.
My apologies if it's been asked, I've Google and searched forums with no luck. Currently running Liquid Smooth 2.2 on my d2vzw, but I've noticed this on pretty much every rom I've flashed since flashing aosp type roms. Anyway, while playing music through my phone, using any type of music playing app (Google play music, player pro and even the new Now Playing beta) while the music is playing in the background, whenever I open an app or close an app or type/text or etc... The music skips briefly. While just a minor nuisance, it is a nuisance still. Any ideas?

Anyone have ideas?

Everything is stock on my phone and I'm running YouTube 5.2.27 with the new KitKat OS. I'm experiencing a bit of stutter/jitter when playing videos on YouTube in both low and high quality. The motion of the video isn't quite fluid. When playing the same vids through Freedi YT player or through the browser, I don' t see this issue at all but I love watching vids on the app the most, but can't stand the stutter.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issues? Sorry if this has been answered, I just couldn't find anything about it asides from the thread above me.
Having the same trouble, any solutions?

Are you running on 3G, LTE, Wifi? and it has to do with the version of youtube. Currently unnoticed with Franco kernel but may have somthing to do with the release build. Try clearing data/cache to see if that works. If not, uninstall the updates to factory to see if problem persists since that version. Reinstall again and try that as well.
