My Battery stats - Samsung Infuse 4G

I am on CatyROM 2.0
My battery stats are:
current battery is: 33%
11h 13m 28s on battery
Voice Calls: 31% --> Time on: 12m 40s
Cell stand by: 30% --> Time on: 11h 13m 28s
Display: 18% --> Time on: 11m 9s (My display is at around 25% - not on auto display)
Phone idle: 12% --> Time on: 11h 2m 18s
Face book: 4% --> CPU usage: 55s, CPU foreground: 55s, stay awake: 5m 34s, GPS: 38s (2 hours after disconnecting the phone from charger, I signed out facebook, so these times are for first 2 hours only)
Android OS: 3% --> CPU usage: 2m 2s
These are my phone stats after I woke up today. As you can see I rarely used my phone after I disconnected my phone form charger. Is these stats or normal. Without using anything, my phone is dying in 15 hours. Is this expected?
My GPS, blue tooth and wifi are off. I am not at auto brightness, brightness is less than 30%.
My auto sync with Gmail is on.
My email app (yahoo) sync settings i changed to never. As per my knowledge, no other apps are running.
If is normal I will stop worrying about battery.. please advice...

Any one help me, whether these stats are normal or not?

15 hours is good. If you were on Froyo, I'd say that's phenomenal. GB definitely improved battery drain though.
The litmus test I use is if it lasts me all day without the need to charge, it's good enough.
Hope this helps.

I am on GB. and during this 11 hours, I rarely used the phone. once to check gmail, and once to logoff facebook, other than that, I didnt touched my phone. so my point is without using phone, 15 hours battery time is good?

Your cell standby % being so big indicates that, your phone is struggling to get service.
I am also on caty. If I leave my phone at 100% and fall asleep I will wake up 8 hours later and about 10% will drain.
In contrast, when I'm at work, I get no service. I work in a kitchen and the walls are pure steel. When I leave after a 12 hour shift my cell standby is ridiculous.

So you mean to say that, I dont have enough signal at home, and its keep on trying to get the signal, so thats why my battery is draining fast?
if so what should I do? like if i switch of 3G, it will stop searching for 3G signal, but still i can get the phone calls?
and how can I make sure that, i am having signal fluctuations at home?

Check something for me, click on cell standby next time and tell me how long it says under "time without signal". That should help narrow down the issue.
No matter what though your cell standby shouldn't be that big.
If you turn 3g off you should still be able to receive texts/calls.

Try advanced task manager. Works better if your in froyo or gingerbread. Anyway, I don't know if I need to do this or not but I will reset my battery stats every once in awhile to help with battery life.

Just thought I'd chime in here but, most task killers from the market are pretty pointless. They can actually make things worse especially if your constantly FCing apps. Android has a built in task killer which means your running two task killers if you have a third party one. If your rooted use Juice Defender for slight batt life gains.
Also the battery in our Infuses don't need to have battery stats reset, just pull your battery and reinsert.
People look for some kind of miracle app when in all reality, Android OS/devs already have optimized the system to be pretty conservative while also maintaining a stable system.

I got the issue..
Problem is with Microcell (ATT signal booster).
I dont know exactly whats the reason, but this is what I have done yesterday..
can some one confirm this, who has a Microcell or my microcell may be buggy..
yesterday I fully charged the phone, within 30 mins i lost 5% battery without much use..
Switched of my microcell..
My current battery is: 41%
and phone on battery is 15h 4m 34s..
voice calls 1h 10m 34s
display 1h 1m 1s
i am pretty satisfied..

I'm on CatyRom 2.0 also, I'm on 21 hrs at 37% battery. Light/medium use. What I've really found makes a difference is to turn location services and GPS off. I leave the Wifi on but it only turns on when the phone screen is on. (menu button>advanced in Wireless Settings). Before I was getting 40% drain overnight sometimes. Now about 5-8% overnight (6 hrs).
EDIT: And use the built-in task killer.

Todays stats
current battery: 15%
time since unplugged: 1d 1h 35m
Cell stand by: 50% (time on: 1d 1h 35m)

Android System: 2% (CPU Usage: 25s, CPU foreground: 22s, stay awake: 1m 29s, Data sent: 744 bytes, Data received: 30.9 Kb)

GMail: 2% (CPU Usage: 58s, CPU foreground: 58s, stay awake: 2m 48s)
google+: 5s (CPU Usage: 5s, stay awake: 2m 15s)
As you can see I rarely used my phone (16m in more than a day).
is these stats are fine, or still some thing eating my battery?

Help on what's draining my battery?

The battery life on my Desire is horrible, and I would like to acheive some of the great battery performance I've been reading of other members. I've got LeeDroid 2.1a A2SD+ ver., with the 38.44 radio (I installed older versions in hopes of acheiving better battery). I am now getting far worse performance then when I had new versions of LD/radio, because "something" is draining the battery. ie. Before, I'd get 15% loss per hour during the day, and 1% loss per hour at night during my sleep, with the screen and wifi ON, (using GentleAlarm night clock, which shows the time but on a dimmed screen). Now, I have a 75% loss during 8 hrs of sleep! I even installed "Juice Defender" (Pro ver. with "Ultimate Juice"), which turns off wifi for a few hours, etc. It did nothing to improve battery life, or possibly made things worse. I tried uninstalling some programs, but nothing's changed yet. How can I find out which program or configuration is causing the battery drainage problem?
Battery Indicator Pro stats (8h40m since unplugged):
DISPLAY: 42%
CELL STANDBY: 26%
WIFI: 25%
ANDROID SYSTEM: 5%
PHONE IDLE: 2%
Quick Info stats:
Running: 95.9%
Screen on: 95.9%
Wifi On: 95.7%
Wifi Running: 95.6%
Wi-Fi drains faster than anything, if you're not using it then shut it off! Also, 15% drain per hour during the day and 1% at night isn't that bad. I would switch back to your first configuration. Maybe you're not taking into account how much you're really using your phone?
Well I'm comparing battery performance when I am NOT using my phone at all (during my sleep), and its night and day. When I was getting 15% per hr, 1% loss at night, that was with wifi ON (ie. JuiceDefender was not installed then, and it cuts off Wifi at scheduled times). I'd like to switch back to my first configuration, except that's my prob lem: I have no idea what that configuration was exactly. Lots of programs installed and uninstalled since. I'm going to take a look at a few apps though that might help me understand how to control battery performance.

battery life

anyone feel as if their battery life sucks? I do have 4g on at all times but I didnt think it would make that big of a difference in terms of battery life.
See my post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=839935
Try installing a monitoring app and see if your init process is hitting the CPU hard. I haven't heard from any other mt4g users with the same problem, but lots of.desirehd users have it.
I also have seen my suspend process eating 50%+ CPU when the phone is locked/screen off. Haven't found a fix for that yet though.
I'm getting a full 24 hours of heavy texting, moderate phone calls. Battery life is better than my magic... im having no issues.
Yes, I woke up this morning and my phone was already blinking and battery is on 8%. I left it overnight with more then 60%
A big problem also is that SetCpu cannot force the scale. If limit to 768 Mhz it still scale to 1024. So not I am sure that my ScreenOff profile with 245 Mhz DOESN'T WORK!
THAT'S SUX!!!

Weird I leave my phone at full overnight and its still at full when I wake up.
Try disabling the preflock that might help before I did that it wasnt scaling properly now afterwards it is.

I have frozen a few apps and use advanced task killer every time i start up 9a lot of apps come on at start-up).
The result is pretty good battery life. I have only gone dead when I had a few apps (like GPS navigation) running in background and forgot about them.
I'm having 0 issues with my battery. It easily beats out the battery life on the Samsung Vibrant I had.
I'm having issues too. My battery life today was 40% at 1 PM, and when I left this morning, it was full. I hardly even used the phone except to check email :/ I have brightness on auto and wifi off. Not sure what the issue is.
My battery life has been really good. A typical cycle is charge to full and disconnect power at 10:00 pm. Up at 6:00 AM, battery is still on 100%. Today my use has been moderate to heavy. It's now 2:30 PM and I have 68% left. I typically have around 30 percent left when I put in back on the charger. I'm happy with that.
Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc., are kept off until I use them. I do however leave Background data and Auto-sync on all the time.
I turned on USB Debugging as recommended and my battery life is much better. Right now it hasn't been charged in 9 hours and is at 79%. I've downloaded 2 apps, updated 3 apps, sent multiple emails, light internet use, and 3-4 calls. I'm unrooted and don't use any task killers.

That's awesome. I'm going to turn on USB Debugging mode and see if I can squeeze a little more juice out of it.
I have had intermittent battery-drain issues too. On Saturday morning my battery went from 100 down to 76% in a matter of an hour or two with hardly any use. I did a restart and it seemed better. I've also gotten into the habit of restarting my phone once a day, right before I take it off the charger in the morning. I've turned off quick boot, which I read somewhere in the forums can affect battery life. It's been pretty good the last few days. I'm at 68% now off charger for 9.5 hrs with moderate amounts of wifi, web browsing, email, and 3G network usage. I'm new to android devices so I don't have much to compare that to, but it's working for my schedule.
heavy user - fully charged phone at 7am ... start using after 7:30am
check emails, fb, txt, barely to no calls.....phone will be down to about 20% at 1:30~2pm....
yes the battery is lame...but this is a known issue with HTC...the 3.8 screen drains a lot of battery also the constantly searching for HSPA+ and 3G...
I do notice when screen is off....this phone still drains battery !!! bad =(
left over night at about 65% left in the morning I got red blinking led saying phone is below 10% .... 50% gone!!!
I think restarting the phone after a full charge is a good idea....also maybe turn off quick boot?
*update* yes I found that when you have a bad signal and it's jumping between E and H ... this eats up battery
also installed Advance Task Killer (for froyo) this helps~ now from 8am my phone can last until about 4pm getting about 3~3.5hrs more life
Mine lasts all day with everything on, playing games, email, text, etc, etc.
It is great, best phone I have had. Not sure what the issue is unless it is root.
It depends where you live.
If you get a good antenna signal, your battery will last.
At my apartment signal is low, so phone is constantly between UMTS and GPRS, plus phone is trying to hold H, so that drains the battery.
My signal strength parameters:
between -101 dBm and -107 dBm (where -110dBm is the edge of the signal/loosing signal)
3 asu and 7 asu

What drains your battery the most?

For some reason my screen started really draining the heck out of my battery and it's only set on about 35% brightness.
Here are my current stats:
Screen - 65%
Wifi - 14%
Call Standby - 10%
Phone Idle - 9%
Android - 2%
What are your stats? Is the screen eating the battery? Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

That looks usual
When my screen is on my battery drains about 1% per minute.
What is your max cpu speed?
Bad battery?
Those stats look normal for the most part, but it also depends on how long the screen was on vs how long the phone was on overall.
Cell standby appears a bit high at first glance, which definitely causes some additional drain if you don't have reception during standby and the phone is searching for reception.

Screen 25%
WiFi 20%
Cell Standby 17%

Gmail 3%

I used the built-in Battery Calibration to calibrate the battery like last week and I noticed that by the end of the day, I still had at least 30% of battery...
I use it to text, listen to music and talk everyday at night at least 3-4 hours with my girl...
I'd suggest to root phone, try a new rom, or use any calibration apps from play store and follow the instructions... worked with my 2 previous phones.. Huawei Ascend, Motorola Droid 2 Global.. and this is 6th android I have and I love it a lot.
The screen is set to 25%. It's only on for about 45 minutes.
I have rooted the phone and am running a very new rom.
i'm pretty much in the same position, my battery drains 1% per minute
I'm on T-Mobile and their "My Device" app will let you know if you need to replace the battery or not. Give it a try.

Are you running an ICS ROM? They seem to be so efficient at everything else that the screen is the major battery sucker. I've played PSX4Droid for a couple hours at a time, and it barely gets above 10% usage.
I run 2.3.4 virtuous unity. I can make it 24 hours before I charge it.
But the screen is the highest user of battery.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda premium
2.3.4 GB here but i honestly say the games and watching videos takes a toll on battery the most.
I used to have awful battery life on ICS and was able to narrow it down to the amazon app store....using like 35% battery.<--disappointing amazon! After uninstalling that I can get about 2-3 hours of screen time. If you're having terrible battery life after flashing a new rom you could try caliberating your battery. I use battery caliberation. When my battery is fully charged I run it, let it drain all the way down then charge it back up. There are probably other caliberation apps out there...or you could delete the battery stats from your recovery. Hope this helps.
edit: just noticed you're talking about Gingerbread, my bad, kinda skimmed over that Caliberating your battery could still help though.

cell standby or phone idle?

I did a battery wipe in cwm and my battery life went up a lot. for two days I got like 22hours on normal use, 4g, Wi-Fi, you tube, music, etc. this morning my battery status was at 80% showing cell standby and phone idle. should it be either standby or idle for overnight? if there are no app running? there was nothing else running, is it normal for both standby and idle to show for the overnight?
thank you

Cell standby is battery used by the radio.
Phone idle is battery used when phone is idle.
Pretty much even if you're not using your phone it will still give out signals back and forth (thats how you get text/calls) unless you turn it off completely. Phone idle would be how much battery it uses while its on idle but it also goes based on the time. So if say you get about 1% battery/hr idle, and you never used your phone for 4 days but now you're out of battery, your stats would be 100% Phone idle because the idle is what used the battery. If you play a game that uses 2%/hr it will factor in with the percentage with everything else of how much power its using. Example say i lost 5% battery within an hour and 2% of that is from idling and 3% was from a game etc...
So when you're sleeping and the phone at anytime access a connection (text/fb notification/updates/sync) it will be on your cell standby.

Standby drain

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the OnePlus 5's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I am not too pleased about idle battery drain.
Overnight, about 8h it consumes about 3%-5%. Sometimes more than 10%, if the device doesn't go in deep sleep for whatever reason..
If commute, it takes more battery (maybe sensors, switch to mobile data, etc).
About 20% in 9hours. wifi most of the time with about 1h hour on mobile data. And movement in pocket about 20-30mins.
My experience with idle drain has been good overall. Getting around 0.5% per hr
My idle drain is horrendous. I'm getting around 20% drain over night (7h sleep) with nothing enabled but WiFi. And that's with Greenify. I'm thinking of rooting and flashing the EX Kernel, but wanted to wait for an obviously outstanding major update before doing so.

For me Chrome was a big culprit for battery drain. Try to delete the cache and the storage of the app. You can as well disable and it and re enable it. That should be enough. Anyway, Chrome is a battery hog. I am thinking about switching to Opera or Firefox. Any recommendation for browsers?
I use Firefox with the add-on 'Dark Background and Light Text'. I have it set to turn the background of all pages to true black.
2% over night (7 hours) pretty pleased. But it was even better on OP3 when the drain over night was 0-1%
I'm on RR with no GAPPS and lost about 1.5% in about 8.5hrs of not being used (sleep + getting ready in the AM)
I have TASKER, and have set airplane mode to come on 8pm - 3am.
Currently getting roughly 2-3% drain in that "airplane mode" time

What the? Do you have gestures enabled (eg: double tap to wake)?
In my opinion it consumes too much.. one time i got about 3% drain in about 8-9h idle with wifi on and no commute.
That's why i hate android idle drain. A never-ending issue.
SOT only 34 mins, 1h mobile data, the rest on wifi.
I've disabled gestures, location history, no google fit, etc etc
Not bad here. About .3% per hour overnight. So about 2% overnight. That's on 4G as I rarely ever have my phone on WiFi. I also have email at to push (2 accounts) and I usually turn off the sync stuff in my Google account. Things like app data, calendar, contacts and the rest. I just sync when I make changes like adding a contract I then toggle the contacts on then off kind of thing. No need to let it sync all day and night for nothing imo.
I just have that drain when location is set to "high accuracy". When its set to "battery saving" everthing seems fine.
I don't know what's wrong with my device/apps. Several times now i had a standby drain in around 7 hours of 30%+. I didn't plug my phone in overnight because of Dash charging, when I went to bed, the battery was at 37%. The next morning I overslept massively and completely missed my shift because my battery died over night. This is with airplane mode on during 75% of the night. The highest drain in battery settings was displayed for "Android System" with around 12% or so, but that was with the last day counted in. I feel like the battery drain stats in settings are completely unreliable...
Except from that I get normal battery life during the day though, although during the first few days standby drain was higher than screen on drain...

Yeah man you need to download accubattery or something to monitor the drain. That's ridiculous. And yeah I've been kinda confused about the stock battery stats as well. It seems to tell you nothing.
I have noticed a lot more battery drain since the 911 update a few days ago. I was getting 7ish sot now I'm under 5hrs. I'll bet I'm not the only one who noticed it though. It'll be fixed don't worry.

I had AccuBattery installed at first but it didn't give me any meaningful insights so I uninstalled it a few weeks later.
I normally only get around 3 hours of SOT, but I'm not into mobile gaming or YouTube so that is normal...
I notice significant drain in idle after the 4.5.6 update last week. Android system seems to be the culprit, but not sure what's process under this is actually causing the problem.
All radios on, and 2 mail accounts syncing.
