I think the correct request is to someone do a Stock dump and a create a process to unroot your phone.
I have not tested it yet. but you should be able to root and unroot following this article:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125414&highlight=unroot
All we need is a stock dump and we should be money.
well someone has already made a system dump. do you think i could just take the recovery from the system dump,(because i have clockworkmodrecovery) and then unroot my phone?
The stock recovery.tar is posted in here for download here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19760508

Whats the easiest way to get an ota update while rooted? Would it be just flashing to stock recovery again, taking the ota, and then rerooting?
If this is the case, does anyone have a stock 4.4.2 recovery .zip that I can flash?
easiest way is just flashing a stock rooted rom via your recovery. but if you want an ota, you can have root, but your system has to be completely stock. and you will lose root and your custom recovery. youd have to reflash your recovery and su to reroot.
How about this sticky?

hello
I just put my question here, because I have not found what I was looking for.
When I buy my tablet, I install a custom recovery, and a custom rom. Now I am back to the original rom without TWRP and root.
However, I have not found how. I thought facielement found the necessary files to do with Rodin, but I have not found. Do you know where I could find them?
If a factory restoration since the tablet will be enough? I have not tried it yet, but I do not think this is sufficient to remove the custom recovery, and root
Thank you for your help
Hi
You have to flash the stock android firmware with Odin. All firmwares are on sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com
In case anyone needs it, here is a clean system.img from the 10e firmware, courtesy of phineous
https://www.mediafire.com/?0g4mkg2b2mcifzb
This is not pre-rooted and should only be flashed if you are already on the 10e firmware. Do not flash this if you are on 10g as it will likely result in a soft brick.
Directions for flashing are in the general g4 > original dev > codefire root thread.
The aforementioned thread for convenience.
Thanks for this.
I have searched but have not came across a root version of 10e. Is there one?

Here's the post with the root script for injecting root into the images. I'm sure the script works fine, but I couldn't get it to run on the system I set up. It's probably a permission issue that I don't have right, but I'm too busy to figure it out now.
Anyone have a 10g stock system image? I want to update to the 10i update then try making a prerooted version of it but didn't make a backup of the 10g system before I rooted. Looking for the AT&T system image.

Hello,
I have a rooted Verizon HTC One M8 running on Android 4.4.2. I do not have the stock recovery and for some reason I am unable to flash CWM, so I am stuck with TWRP. I keep receiving notifications that Lollipop is available to install, but it fails each time I try to install it because I am rooted. How can I unroot and get back to my stock ROM so that I can install the update?
No need to update via OTA. Just follow the instructions here and you'll be on rooted 5.0.1 stock

Questions
Thank you for the reply. Are you 100% sure this is compatible/will work with my phone? If I flash the ROM and it doesn't work, can I simply flash a backup image I made to recover? And when I flash the ROM, will I lose all the data on my phone? Also, where may I download my stock recovery? I searched all over the internet and couldn't find one for the Verizon version of the HTC One M8.
Thank you
That RUU is a complete stock firmware package, including the recovery. Read the OP.
But if you're just looking for the stock recovery you can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52017763
That alone won't let you take the OTA though. If you modified your stock rom the OTA will fail.
You can find a complete stock rom elsewhere here on XDA, but why the trouble if you have it all in one neat package with the RUU?
Thank you very much for the help and useful information.
Sorry to bother you with all the questions but I have one more. How do I make a backup of my stock recovery? Say I went out and bought a new phone, how would I backup that stock recovery?
Image Update Error
Error fixed now
I am currently on zv7 rooted (sprint)
what's the easiest way or if not, proper way, to go to zv 9 rooted?
do I have to go back to zv6 stock and update to 9, then root?
or can I flash a zv 9 rooted image over it?
please advise
well found the answer, not sure how to delete topic
You can't delete it. Why don't you share how you did it in case someone else is wondering the same thing.
okay I grabbed the stock image from here (im on zv7)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/return-to-stock-ls996-stock-img-t3217089
then I went to this post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/development/lg-g-flex-2-ls996-zv6-sprint-5-1-1-t3169212
that post is actually to root, but all you do is instead of flashing a rooted image, flash the stock image instead
after that, I let it get the OTA updates until I was zv9 (latest)
then I went back to that thread and did the same thing, except this time flash the rooted zv9 image
it was way more simpler than I thought. No reset needed and no data was lost
