I have tried a few emulators but is it our touchscreen that limits the use of using y and a buttons at the same time? If so do they make a controller that connects to our phones (not ps3)
Not sure but I would imagine any Bluetooth controller would work to some degree.

yeah I could do the ps3 controller thing but dont want to drag that out in the middle of a hallway just to kill some time playing mario bros3. I just thought someone knew of a game pad that connects to it or something.
Oh well, thanks

If you have the cash, you could get the iControlPad. Or the upcoming Gametel looks promising.
Apparently the wii remote will connect to the g2x according to some forum posts I just came across. One person mentioned http://www.bestbuy.com/site/POWER+A+-+ProPack+Mini+Remote+and+Mini+Chuk+for+Nintendo+Wi i/1168433.p?id=1218228673832&skuId=1168433

Resurrecting this thread instead of starting a new one.
I'm looking for one as well, but for a different reason, I've tried SNES A.D. and SNESoid but neither allow me to configure the cheats (What, I've beat all the games I'm interested in on the console as a kid, I have a right to cheat. ) the settings state that I can add cheats but the actual option it references isn't there. So, I'm looking for one which is free and allows usage of cheats.
Thats weird snesAD cheats work for me before ill reinstall it later today and let you know
Making bad decision's one at a time.
Bear in min I'm using the "lite" version, perhaps it's intentional that I can't. I assume, by the message I get at the cheat selection menu that to insert a cheat the insertion option is there right after I hit the hot key (can't think of the proper name of it atm)
SnesAD is free... So its working for me...
Menu in SnesAD> More>Cheats>Menu again button again> +new cheat((appears at the bottom when you hit menu button at the cheat screen)
Worked for me on super mario wprld gppd luck

Yeah, that's where Angry Birds for Android released first too.
If i recall correctly, this website used to release Java games for those older dumb phones. Thus the "jar".
Thank you very much.
It's so funny! I didn't know the game but it is great.
Thanks!
I have no idea why a game would need to be able to read my contacts(?!), but I installed it anyway because it looked good, and it is really good!
Makes me wonder what other permissions apps I've installed have, I should probably start paying more attention to them..
this game is addicting!
I believe the reason it needs that permission is for sharing purposes.
Whenever a game has "tell my friends" built into it, it requires that permission.

MC3 had an update yesterday.
The good:
The PLAY controls seem to work better, especially aiming, is WAY better.
The bad:
It crashed and rebooted my phone twice while loading a mission.
I updated and it told me to install an additional 761 MB ?!
The game already takes 1 GB !

Yes I had to download that as well. It doesn't necessarily mean its additional, more than likely the download is to update the 1gb of files you already downloaded, so the updated ones are overwritten.

I agree, Asphalt using the D-Pad is great. Touchpads on that game are a little weird to use though, but who would on a Racing game?
With regards to the MC3 update, this has made my game lag more, when the games not lagging the right thumb pad is a bit more responsive. I had previously got away with using the screen to move and the right thumb pad to aim (less control lag when only one digit on the touchpad, that way...) however the update removes the on-screen controls when you have the PS controls open, so this is no longer a possibility.
Gameloft, sort this out! Not that you would in the slightest be looking at an Xda forum for feedback

i know there are many threads about gameboy emulators. But i wanted to start a thread about a gba emulator that can emulate linkcable. I heard of nes emulators that can usw multiplayer per BT/wifi (don#t know how it works). If there is anybody who can create a gba emulator that can emulate a linkcable i would also pay for it or credit him per paypal. i think many people would do the same and are interested in this.

I think I read somewhere that link cable support for gba is just not feasible/possible due to the way it works. It was coming from an actual developer, which is why I stopped looking for this entirely. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
I think he mentioned that there are megabytes of data almost randomly transferred at any moment in time and there's little to no latency allowed. So it's very unlikely that this will be supported anytime soon
From what I gathered, a link cable session is something entirely different from a multiplayer game with multiple controllers plugged into the console. In the latter case you essentially just push the input values over the net and accept what little latency there is. In case of the link cable, whole portions of the game rom are transferred and everything has to be in tight sync.
But... I'm just talking out of my ass. I remember this from back when I was looking for this precise feature. It might or might not be true.
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using xda premium
Honestly wireless communication should be possible but may vary depending on device hardware. The PSP has a gba emu and a sneak one that supports wireless linking. It Even has an adhoc file stranger program to send files to other psps via adhoc to each other which also would be great for our phones. What wee really need is for someone to start porting this kind of stuff. It is possible just not reallly attempted.

If you look on the computer side of things, linkcable supporting GBA emus aren't really polished and it took a big while before they were even available/working. While I don't know the specifics myself of linkcable sessions, I'd back you up with what you said which is pretty much what I read myself.

When will people learn that ANY developer making anything on Android is a pain in the ass for them. Yes iOS gets more updates but that's because they are developing for a very small number of phones. Anyone got a count of the total number of Android phones, me thinks it might be a f'in lot!

I got stuck with the purchase, didn't play it with enough time to see how not worth the 25cents it was.

More than worth it!
Excellent graphics, sound, voice acting and controls. High resolution textures take up a lot of space but definitely worth it. Would like to see more variety in combat. $0.25 is a must buy, even to just show off the graphics.

Yeah so... I might be the only person here who's looking forward to this game. There's no official release date available yet, but Gameloft has announced that it will be available 'later this year' and will be on both iOS and Android.
From what I can tell it looks to be a city builder type game. Playing mini games to earn points, then using those points to buy houses, ponies, items...so on and so forth.
So my questions to you all is: Are you excited for this game? Do you think It'll satisfy My Little Pony fans? Will you be buying this? & If so how much are you willing to pay?
I personally think I will be a good game if they do 2 simple things. Listen to what the fans have to say, and have it reflect future episodes, meaning if new ponies make their appearance in season 3, I think Gameloft should add them into the game and to do as much as possible to have the game reflect the TV show. If they keep the updates coming this game should have some lasting appeal & replay value.
Check out the iPad game play demo and let me know what you think.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlBInHiJ-74
As a fellow brony, this excites me. /)
Like you said, as long as Gameloft listens to what the fans have to say. And of course new ponies and cannon names and the whatnot. And I hope that they include some of the maybe not so well known background ponies. Such as Lyra, Bon Bon, and Dr. Whooves, etc.. I'd probably pay anywhere between 5 and 10 dollars. Depending on how much content is actually in the game.
Possibly....even if I stopped watching it after season 2 episode 1....I still read the fanfics though lol.

Edit: just watched the video, no way will this run on her ****ty wildfire s
They could make great use of the Xperia Plays touch pads on this game, instead of touch swiping the screen to navigate you could just use the touch pads. And the mini games could make great use of the D-pad. The game has huge potential hopefully they put effort into this instead of just selling the name and making a quick buck.

Not really, after you hit level 20 everything you need is pretty much there. I currently have 35,000+ bits right now and that number increases every 3 minutes or so. I've also done all the available 'challenges' for the time being (besides the GL ones obviously)
So yeah hopefully we'll see an update soon...
