if you look at paul's changelog, you'll notice that he manually odexed v5, so v4 isn't already odexed. I'm porting v4 already.

nope. tmobile usa uses different frequencies, each dedicated to upload and download. sorry, no 3g.

But edge would work correct? I only get edge most of the time anyway At home I use wifi so the pulse it has a nice screen like the iphone which is one of the things I hate about mt3g Do you think this is better than mt3g?

More ram no keyboard might as well get a different phone G1 is outdated, stay on topic please.

If someone can port this, lets get it optimized and addicted to steroids before a release. The MTSlide ports are laggy as hell after a days work, but this looks promising.
Last time devs were working on the pulse roms they quit because of things that they would fix broke other things. Soon it became something like "Fixed wifi, but broke BT" kinda thing. Lets hope this is better!

I lol'ed at your post. It did seem pretty darn laggy in the video though, so I'm not sure if it's something I want to use as my daily rom. GL though

I agree. That's not msm7200 turbo performance. If we get this to boot completely, we'll see. Not too much work left for that.
Here is a link for a build of mine (based on Paul's r6, so it is odexed unfortunately, because r4 was in a worse mess (seperated ramdisk)) that shows the t-mobile pulse logo with the pink circle (boot screen) but simply loops that animation, and gets stuck on a libaudio.so related problem. CM .33 kernel, compiled for this (should technically have same md5 as the one in test4). Help me out devs. This isn't signed (ignore the filename), I assume that anyone who is going to work on this at least knows how to sign a file

looks pretty good considering its a 192mb ram phone, (though i thought it was 128mb)
A member of TMo staff (UK) confirmed the RAM/ROM as:
SDRAM with 128 MB
Flash EEPROM ROM with 256 MBI was sooo gonna get this until I saw the 256MB… will this have the same trouble as the G1 with future updates [i know 1.6 fits]Anyone know the partition size od the /system on the pulse?

[Q] Can somebody help me?

So I'm using the the Inspired AOSP RC1 and am having issues with making phone calls, and I can't use youtube, for whatever reason. I can use the browser, I can use facebook, but no youtube, and no phone calls. I'm using Leedroid'd kernel, which might be the issue, but it's giving me some pretty nice oc'ing potential so I don't want to just flash it if that's not the issue. Can somebody help me?
I'm a noobie, so if I've forgotten anything please don't hate on me.

Wipe relfash the rom, and instead of flashing a kernel that wasn't made for vanilla, try flashing one that was made for it, like lord mod's for cm7.

You're using a Sense kernel on an AOSP rom. Don't do that.

I third that. I fixed my kernel and I've got everything working on the phone. Vanilla is my new favorite flavor.

Is there any info about flashing Pure gingerbread in our Sensations. Just got an T-Mobile US Sensation from my local Walmart. I love sense 3.0 but would really like to see how fast thing will bein Pure Ginger mode.

I've been thinking about this as well. Since it is not possible to load custom roms yet, your only option is a launcher from the android market. There is actually an Android 2.3 Launcher available in the market for 99¢ which might improve performance since it would disable Sense. I don't know if that's the case for sure but it's only a buck so you might as well try it.

Personally, I'm pretty satisfied with the phone. Had to send it in for warranty though due to a dead pixel

I Love my Sensation XE . As my first android phone, I was getting confused between XE/GS2 . but when i practically handled them side by side...GS2 were a "Big NO" for my taste. i admit the screen is....but that's it..actually it hurts to see so over saturated color & the exterior look of total body is waaaayyyyyy inferior than XE. I dont give a damn about "benchmark"..as i do play..Shadowgun/ Asphault6 on my XE...and games like these literally fly..in terms of both look and performance. To me, my XE RockS.

That's what I thought until I tried my friend's Note, it's so big that it makes the Sensation look tiny

love my sensation - now that i've flashed ARHD rom..it turned into XE with beats audio with speed bump to 1.5ghz and enhanced audio quality. the phone is very smooth but i have yet to try ICS roms on it. Will wait for more stable release before i try flashing one.

I am running Undead's ICS v5.3 and the display keeps turning on and off randomly and frequently .
Undead suggested i reflash ... so I did and it worked for a while and now its doing it again and it only did it on this rom and as far as I know im the only one having this problem . running the stock kernel .
Any ideas as to what would cause display to turn on and off frequently at random ?

I been using it a while . I already asked him he had no idea what was the problem and said hed never heard of the problem before

I had this exact problem with his ROMs. I fixed it by flashing Pyr'O'Ice.

MMS 1080 vid bt wifi camera batt life tv out is awesome but not required and i like sense cameras
bulletproof is cool but im @ 17hrs with 18% battery left

nevermind i found it ... just a lot of stuff to sift through on the OP bulletproof xD i got it though now I just need to figure out which is best for battery life but still stable uh oh I see a 1.7ghz kernel in there ... i wonder if i could set cpu the freq down so id have the option for 1.7 but still have good batt ?

ok it must be the phone ... i just flashed the batman lock ring and the display just turned on by itself and this chick who got a new iphone been makin funna my droid saying it sucks cause the screen turns off and on by itself i was hoping it was the rom but i guess not im gonna hafta get a new phone or something ..... cause i cant deal with the screen doin this

Yes you may do that, the 1.7 is just the max it will set your processor to, under-clockable.

Also keep in mind, dual core means two cores running at the assigned speed...I run at around 700 on most profiles i have setup in SetCPU because thats 1.4 ... keep that in mind you dont need a whole lotta power for our device
