[Q] Endcall button - HTC Sensation

So, I'm playing with my phone, it's rooted, I'm using the Button Remapper (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=850464). I see "key 107 ENDCALL" ...
Okay, I feel like a real idiot, but is there an "end call" button somewhere on my phone?
Examining the .kl files in /system/usr/keylayout there's also "key 62 ENDCALL" which I'm guessing is the on-screen red button that shows up during a call. But key 107 is apparently a remappable button like Menu or Search. What is it? I've attached a text file that was originally pyramid-keypad.kl and holds apparently the hardware-ish keys.
Also, I've been looking around, but haven't found this; is there a definitive list somewhere of the key numbers and what they represent?
Thanks!

Maybe the "back" button is hooking off? Not sure, would like to know this aswell.

Keymap browser functions

I want to remap some buttons as browser functions for PIE on my 8125. I would like to setup my Comm button as a "back" button. Does anyone have lists of function keycodes and also button keycodes? I have searched for awhile but could not find a complete list of button codes for this phone.
Thanks anyways guys, I answered my own question.
I found a nice little program which runs on the device and tells you the keycode of buttons you press. I attached it incase anyone else needs it.

ATT Fuze PTT button remap

Hi all. I am ready to take the plunge and get the ATT Fuze once it is out here in the US. I don't want to flash it yet with custom ROMs. Can anybody tell yet (maybe by looking at the ATT ROM structure) whether it would be possible to remap the PTT button? (so we can remap it to MS Voicecommand)

Search, I already posted this.
Well, either a mod removed my post on how I remapped my PTT button on the Fuze or the search function ****ing blows. I can't find it using any of the key words and searching only my posts, so good luck figuring out what to edit in the registry, but I assure you it can be done.
I'm almost certain I've read AE Button Plus can remap it. I use it on the 8525 for MS voice command as well.

CONFIRMED, this is how to keep that annoying PTT message from coming up on American Touch Pro's (Fuze maybe? whatever).
Keep in mind, you can't individually map this button with this method, that may come later.
Step 1: Registry editor, remove HKLM/Services/PTT
Step 2: Create a key in HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Shell/Keys called "40C2"
Step 3: Create a string within that key, titled Name with the value being "Button 6" or whatever
Step 4: Soft reset.
From this point on you can remove 40C2, but your PTT button will simply perform with a press what your send button performs with a hold (which can be remapped easily... Settings/Buttons/Button1(Hold)).

Oh really? It's funny, everyone who HASN'T had a Fuze says AEButton Plus works to remap the PTT button, yet when I used it on my Fuze it wouldn't allow it. Weird.

Well, I'll admit to being one of those who has said that, but now that I have a Fuze I figure it's time to put up or shut up.
Yes, you can use AE Button Plus to remap the PTT button!
Here's what I did:
1) Delete the value, not the key, of HKLM\Services\PTT\Dll (was "PTTService.dll", will now be "") and soft reset.
2) Run AE Button Plus, add the PTT button as a new key, and set its action.
Mine now brings up the camera with a single press. I haven't tried the double, triple, and long settings yet, so I can't guarantee that there aren't problems.

Hey I would like to do the same exact thing you did. I'm having a little trouble. I have successfully deleted the "PTTService.dll" value under HKLM\Services\PTT\Dll.
I found AEbutton plus but which version are you running? the free unsupported one or the newest one? Ive tried to run the trial version of the new one. When I try to add button the next sceen ask what type of hardware key I would like to add. shift key, win key, ctrl key or alt key.
Your help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm using the current trial version (will register it later today).
I just left those boxes untouched and pressed the PTT button. The code #00ED showed up, and I accepted that. That code then appears in the list of buttons, and a press-and-hold on it in the list brings up the mapping options.

where do you see PPT? When I open the program I see a list of;
ok key
windows key
eneter/action
vol up
vol down
green phone button
Red " "
left softkey
right "
up arrow
down "
left "
right "
and I dont see ptt anywhere when I select add new button just what I said before. and keycode is 0000
Thanks for your help
On AEBPlus, go to File>Add Button, On Add Key screen PRESS the PTT button and you will see a new button named #00ED. You can then go ahead and assign different programs.
I'm using all the One Press, 2 Press.... Long press and it's working beautifully.
Hope this helps.

Great! I haven't tried triple and long yet, but I do have single and double assigned with no problems so far.
Great tips with AEBplus. I got the PTT button remapped by deleting that one registry key, and then installing AEBplus, adding a new button, and then mapping actions to it.
Anyone figured out how to remap the Home key? it's redundant with the red hang-up key in most contexts, so I'm thinking of remapping it to start menu or voice command.
Also, how to activate voice command with a key? I can't find that anywhere from within AEBplus.

Thanks guys!

Need help with AE Button Plus

I've used this program for years but I'm having trouble getting it to work on my FUZE.
I searched the forums and found a few threads where people recommend it and said it worked great on their phone. I also read that the home and ok button's can't be re-mapped (well... they can... but it's bot practical).
So, I'm trying to re-map the send and hang up keys. I assumed the keys are the green and red phone keys listed within AE Button Plus. I edited those to do what I wanted and soft reset the device. Problem is, neither of the buttons do anything I told AE Button Plus to do. A long hold of the green phone button starts Voice Command. A long hold of the red phone button opens the "Long Press Red Key" application. I'm using NATF's 2.2 ROM (if that makes a difference).
I thought that maybe the FUZE has it's own button codes so I tried adding buttons. But clicking on the red or green phone button while the add a button window is popped up doesn't work.
How do those of you with your FUZE have AE Button Plus working with the phone hardware buttons? What am I doing wrong?
I have mapped the Green button with AEBPlus and it is working fine. For this button you don't need to use Add button function and I think, the Red button can be mapped same way.

You're right. I did some more testing and single, double, and triple presses work fine. The problem is, I can't re-map the long press'. Is it possible?

Try again to add the buttons, but this time hold the call and end buttons longer. It will only let u remap the long press. However it will also remap the PTT button. This is a problem for me. I have found a way to kinda cheat this though. I created the PTT_Long.lnk file in the windows directory. (You can find the directions somewhere here in the Rafael forums) Now my short press = camera and I can program the long press etc. And I can use AEBPlus to remap everything else.. Good luck..Hopefully AEBPlus will update their software to work with the Rafael...

It's still not working for me
If I press the green button too long it opens up a new windows with things like "Turn Airplane Mode on" and a few others being shown.
If I press the red button too long it starts Voice Command. If I press it any shorter then that it doesn't register as a new code within AE Button Plus.
I'm not sure what you did to get it working on your end... but I can't re-map the long press' of those buttons on my phone.
Maybe I need to disable the default long press commands via the registry?
remap soft keys on HOME screen of TF3D
I am using PI8 (pocket informant) as my contacts and calendar. I would like to remap the 2 soft keys that are currently going to "windows" version of calendar and contacts, to instead go to PI8 version of calendar and contacts.

Use advanced config and you can set them that way. You have to soft reset aftewards...

There is a new version of AEBPlus out, however it still doesn't get along with the Fuze very well. I Finally uninstalled it and am happy with short/long press only on the PTT. I also run GScroll and use it to double touch the capacitive screen to launch stuff...much better...
home soft keys for PI8
please explain where in Advanced config do I go to change a setting for the 2 soft keys for the home screen. I can't find anything. I found it in Diamond tweaks under 14.5 but it does not give me an option to select PI8.
The long keypress for Green button can be solved by standart button settings as a "Button1(Hold)". I have mapped for a longpress the phone interface that way(1click I use as Alt+Tab). I don't know about red button, because I use red button to instantly drop the call and this feature is missing in my version of AEBPlus and I don't need to upgrade.

Registry Key for Button Mapping?

I know this topic has been covered - but that's the thing...it hasn't, that I can find. I see a dozen searches for this, all with responses saying "Try Vito ButtonMapper!" or "Try AE Button Plus!" Well, I've tried both.
AE Button creates a delay in any key I try to remap, so that the internet key (remapped to the Scroll Right button, since my normal Scroll Right button is ... broken) has a three-second delay after I push it until the button registers being pressed. So, AE Button is a no-go.
VITO is working much better, albeit it is far less functional in terms of those keys that can be remapped. But that's not my concern for my current issue. I'm using it right now, and it's screwing up my softkeys royally (and yes, I do know how to use the program properly, and so it's not just my ignorance to the different configurations).
So, can someone just give me a yes or no, without beating around the bush, on whether there is a direct registry key that can remap one button onto another? And, if there is, would anyone have any idea where I can find a list of keys corresponding to their respective registry values?
Thanksssssssssssssssssssss.

Remap Volume Key Long-Press?

Posted this elsewhere and haven't found a solution...
With the Optimus V I had CM7 installed, and it had an option for long-press volume-up to skip tracks, and volume-down would go back a track.
But since I listen to mostly podcasts, I went in with root explorer and changed the physical search button to be fast-forward to get past boring parts.
Since the Triumph doesn't have much in the way of physical buttons, I was trying to use the long-press volume keys to FF and rewind the current track.
I've gone to /system/usr/keylayout (this is the directory of the Optimus's settings)
But there are a number of .kl files in that folder. Does anyone know which is the one the Triumph uses for the physical keys? I'm assuming it's the "fbx_kybd.kl" since there are only 4 keys listed in it.
Also, what would key values would I add to the file to make my FF setup work?
ex:
key ??? MEDIA_FAST_FORWARD
key ??? MEDIA_REWIND
Thanks!
Still trying...
Ok, so the phone has been out for a while now, people have started making custom ROMs and such. Does anyone have an answer to my question?
Thanks!
