On the ext partition? One option is to use nandroid--it will make a tar file (I think it's called "SD Data" in the nandroid menu, but I'm not sure). Or if you use linux, you can mount and backup the ext partition directly.
Thanks....

It is possible, you just can't move system apps!!! Unless the apps on the internal SD don't show up??
You can move apps to internal SD but you can't move it to external SD

If memory serves, dont you have to use a hidden linux ext4 partion for apps2sd to put the apps in?

Sd card

Why does my sd card have android system in it. Is it better for the phone ,. And is there.a way to just have it for pics, movies and other things I want in it,

You mean the android folder inside the root of your sd card??? Nope, those aren't system files, they're certain apps moved/installed to the sd card to save internal memory... android system is located at the /system partition of your phone's internal memory (NAND)

You won't loose the operating system. The Android system is not in the internal SD card, it has it's own place outside of the internal SD card.
Just be sure you keep a backup of the DCIM folder and whatever else you want to keep.
