are there any apps that work with WM6 that you can chat on using AIM?
If someone could point me in the right direction that'd be great
check your pms
not warez....
I told him there are many. I was never able to find the actually AIM for the ppc, I personally prefer IMplus by Shape Services. Also, if you want an aim client that can connect to multiple aim screennames at a time there is only one i have found, but you have to buy a subscription to the actual service. Actually right now as i was searching I found the AIM download site (google "aim pocket pc") Cant try it now cause im on a linux machine, but will later. I actually remember finding it but couldnt download it. If it works please post that here. Later when i get home ill post the other IM clients out there. Hope this helps.
Slod, you may want to reply to the post with information on the subject, if possible, as opposed to just PM'ing. Others may benefit from it.
He prolly sent a warezlink.
try this. its new http://www.palringo.com/

Anyone looking for the original AIM for PPC you can download it from my mobile site. There are 2 versions so you may need to try both.

Hello to all on this forum.
I have a Flash application that I want to develop into an Android app. I would not require some of the bells and whistles that are currently on the application, but a simple sub-set of how it works now. The flash application can be found here:
FastFood.com/nutrition/
(Hope this URL is allowed here as it will help people understand what I want to do.)
I have all the source files and programming for this and hoped they would be of some help in developing the Android app. But of course, I have no idea if this is any help at all to whoever develops the app for me.
Anyway, before trying to source a developer to do this for me, I thought I should ask a few questions to see if this is even something practical. So I hope some of you can give me some guidance regarding my questions.
1) Are most applications stand alone in the mobile phone, or is it common for some of these apps to access the network to get the necessary data required to operate? My purpose requires a database that is currently 14 megs, and must be accessible to the app, although only small portions of it are needed at any one time.
2) Are there varying systems within the Android family, or versions of the operating system that need to be accounted for?
3) Are there good reasons to develop for both Android and iPhone together? I mean from a cost to develop point of view? Or would it likely be just as effective to develop for Android, then move on to iPhone, or others, as is appropriate?
4) I am guessing that if you have looked at the flash version of our Calorie Counter, you could probably give an educated guess as to what it might cost to replicate a scaled down version for Android. So please, take a stab at it if you can.
Thanks
i am looking for help building an app for androids..

Does it have a streaming website that the app can run off? How nice do you want it?
If you use technology as shoutcast, there already are alot of apps that can play such streams.
You will have to provide more information.
Give as much information as you can in your thread, what you want the app to do, how it should perform, look like etc.
Many moons ago i requested something similar (well i say similar, nothing alike, but an app that did not exist lol) and some kind gent here on xda helped me too
Thank you all for your interest!!!
What i am looking for is very simple... i would like to play the stream from my site... send me a message to get the site... it wont let me post it. with a main background of my site, link to website(opens browser), song title displayed, just as the site does... nothing fancy or complex like splash screens or multiple pages... just a streaming app...
i applogize for not being specific enough but do really apprieate the reply's and interest.. if you feel you can make this you are welcome to stamp your name all over it, to get your name reconized, i will post due credit on the main website as well...
look at the site and let me know what you can do... i can help by testing, i have access to many devices for testing if need be..

Hello to everyone!
I've been learning to code for a while so to create my own application/software idea but the problem is that I found out that it isn't really my "area". The thing is I still got this awesome idea that I really want to be developed. It's pretty obvious that I'm not just yelling out what the idea specifically is...but... I need someone that:
1- Knows how to develop an app and release to it in "play store".
2- Good all-round(by this I mean can easily jump from one problem to a completely different problem)(I don't need a "programmer or nothing")
3- Well motivated and friendly.
4- This idea obviously needs some funding. I can do that on my own if you don't want to. Without a doubt the profits will be split between us (This will be later accorded when we meet up)
The idea basically is: Develpment of an alternative market. Come on read on... By market I don't mean Aptoid,Snappzmarket where people can steal software...It's a different market.
The idea won't make you a billionare! But it has an incredible amount of potential if done correctly...and that's where I need you.
I currently live in Italy but can travel anywhere in Europe without any problem.
If anyone is interested in this please contact me via PM. I'm relitively new to xda developers but I have been reading loads of great stuff on it so THUMBS UP XDA! I'm not posting my email address for SPAM reasons.
Wasnt quite sure were to ask, so i just posted here.
Hoping someone can help.
Anyone know of a website that will allow me to create my own website with simple building tools, i.e. does not require me to know code or html. And is free or cheap? Thank you for any help.

You can try Skylium (completely free). I have my web there and I didn't have problems in one year. Without banners and ads. With a lot of utilities: joomla, php, mysql...

Thanks for the quick response however, it seems to be all in Spanish...
Yes it's in Spanish, but it has a lot of services.
During a lot of years I had the web in 000Webhost (English), but it gave me some problems. You can test it.
I had another web in Aruba.it (not free, but cheap, and several languages). But I don't remember if it had building tools.

Probably the best site I've used is wix. It's super easy and looks awesome and everything is easy enough to edit with a little bit of practice.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, ill give em a shot
Wix is nice, but lots of ad and very proprietary (can not extract your data and move it somewhere) and you must pay to have your own domain name etc
In the same spirit you have jimdo and weebly which are less markettingly aggressive
jimdo.com
weebly.com
And Silex, which is free, open source, no hidden costs, but with far less templates (you are supposed to start your site from a blank page)
silex.me
Wix is my fave!
Thought I'll update this website for the times. My favorite website builder is hPage ( https://www.hpage.com ). I have created two websites there already and it's really good. I love all the features and it's very affordable too compared to other website builders.

Hello, I suggest trying sites.google.com. I know that this is a google, and maybe you don't want to share data with them.
I use it for ~4 sites and I don't know much code (except some HTML things), and it didn't ask to know it. Yeah, you can add HTML blocks yourself. But all can be done through interface.
I will not publish any links to the examples, because you can find through your favourite search engine yourself.
Google gives a "domain" like "sites.google.com /view/{name which can be configured before and after publishing}"
If you don't want that, try services for DDNS like noip .com or just shorten a link to the page you want (for example, bit .ly does that).
I also use Jimdo and it only annoys in some places where google's service is better (like >100 fonts (Jimdo offers only one, similar to Times)).
Give them a try.
