[Q] question about OTA update and radio

I was wondering if when HTC does an OS update (to 2.3 soon I hope for desire hd/inspire) does it contain new radio as well? In DHD forum (radio thread) do all those radios come from newer htc phones, or is it something that htc updates and delivers via OTA?

[Q] OTA update: how, when

Hi guys,
I know there was OTA update for the Sensation available since 12th Aug. It is the 21st Aug already and i still can't update (i've tried manually as well).
So the question is: how or when can i get it? Any suggestions are welcome!

Getting the Official Sense 3.0

Hey guys.
I was thinking of getting a Desire S, How would I go about getting Sense 3.0 on a T-Mobile U.K Desire S?
I don't want to flash custom ROM's, but wouldn't mind Rooting to debrand or anything

You might want to wait a few days in the hope of an offiicial announcement from HTC.
Although a few users have already received an OTA update already in the last few days, most of us (I think) haven't.
A lot of people have been asking HTC on facebook about the update and HTC are being utterly non-comittal about it with just a stock answer.
If the official update doesn't appear within a time frame that you like, there is always great support right here to load a custom ROM.

Root and install or wait. Those are your choices, and we can only help with the first one.

rooting is not necesasry i guess.
i just download RUU_PYRAMID_LE_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.105_R_Radio_11.69.3504.00U_11.22.3504.07_M_release_251961_signed.exe on xda.
i fallow these step on installing,
-S-OFF via revolutionary.
- CID Changing (did 1111111)
- Run RUU.
Now i am ICS 3.32.401.105.
btw, this ruu for xe. for normal sensation, just check shipped rom threads,

The thing is, I see people in Thailand with the same CID as me (__053) have already received the update.
Is there something I could have done to my phone to prevent me from receiving the update?
I rooted a while back, however I unrooted and reflashed with a stock rom. My CID is still __53.

I still don't have the update, UK sim free XE. Apparently it's a slow roll out.

Its a dead slow roll out. No update in India yet and the support reps are speculating on April end.

if only HTC would start working a little bit faster

Hey, they released a lot of phones, so they need a lot of time to support every of them. Ok, that is their fault, I think they should not release that much phones, now they have a problem with supporting them. But I think you will get OTA update soon

Nothing yet in China as well.. and my phone is Taiwan set. pretty ironic since HTC is a taiwanese company

No update in the US and the smoke signals coming out of T-Mobile USA indicate it may be months and not weeks before we see it here.

Whats really strange is that Android 5.0 (Jelly Bean) is right around the corner too. Also I'm seeing that 6.0 (key lime pie) is already in the works. Just wondering why it takes so long to push what will soon be outdated updates.

I don't want to sound roughly, but you should start using your eyes, for there's correct purpose!

Please post questions in q&a section!
And for an answer: it'll be coming when it's ready..

July was the release date announcement by HTC, but they changed their schedule to August. So It will be coming soon (seems RUU is more likely than OTA, but still, it is coming at last !!).
However, I don't know when it will be finally released by your carrier, it really depends on their policy...
