Hello, i wanted to ask is there any way to improve surroun's camera quality? Like with some settings or an app or ROM or something like that? I've read that photos taken with htc surround is compressed (5mp photo is smaller than 1MB!!) so maybe that would be the key to improve quality - by decompresing them? Please help, it's a great phone but camera quality is awful and i'm thinking of buying a new one if there is no way to improve it. Thank you
try to update your phone to:
7.10.7740.16 ROM version
there is fix update for camera and much more.
can you post a link to it?
can someone please help me with that?

Here is the Google Camera Apk
I pulled it from a deodexed rome that was built for the new N3 of the other Korean handset manufacturer. I claim no responsibility for this apk at all. I just pulled it and am posting it here for you because it has a better jpeg algorithm than the LG camera. The LG camera jpeg algorithm is kind of hard on flesh-tones. but this google camera is better.
Still not perfect, has a couple bugs. For example software menu buttons are stuck on the screen so you have to rotate the phone 180 degrees to hit the shutter button but maybe we can find a better solution together.

This thing is even worse than the LG camera.. trust me!

I think you should consider a better icon and better screenshots. Probably a demo video. This is what the users see first. This is how you get them to like the app before they even install it. Good luck
Cool idea!
But you should lock the white balance / exposure settings after the first picture, so you don`t see these "scars" between the different shots.
Nice, will check it out

Hello All...i newbie here... I like take a picture with my experia Z3, can samebody tell me how to upgrade or modified the Camera for the Best one... Oh ya...if i write with my language whats that will be some problem to Make conversation here..? Thanks 4 ur answer..
You mean the camera app? The Xperia one seems to be crippled in that it can only access the full 20 megapixel in manual mode, auto drops it down to 8 (!!)
But there are some good free and paid-for camera apps that will do full auto at 20 Mp - Camera Fv 5 is good, Archos camera is good..
If you mean upgrade the physical camera - no really possible.
Hello.
I don't know where to ask thoses simple questions :
1. My XZ has crushed blacks (my Xperia T look better), will a custom Kernel help ? I read about KCAL, can it help for this kind of issue ? (raise black level / modify gamma). If KCAL stuff are included into kernel, do you need to install another app or the kernal add a custom menu into android ?
2. I find the camera to be quite terrible, insane noise processing and edge enhancement. About this DRM-stuff... is this possible to actually disable the sony processing of the camera ? Would rather get natural noisy and soft picture than this artificial looking mess (i don't mind about Xreality)
thank you!
Hi, I'm running stock rom and wondering how to get the best out of my camera. I've seen people installing the google camera but confused as to which one to download and what config settings. If someone could point me in the right direction or link to the right files I need for my phone that would be really appreciated.
If you want natural "life like" colors use: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gcam-for-x3-pro.4256287/post-85804879
For "insta" photos use: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gcam-for-x3-pro.4256287/page-10#post-85826307
Open sample photos for each and see difference, you'll understand what i mean.
Thanks, I'll give that natural one a try, what do I do with the config file?
After installing camera you go into settings, Load Config and choose the .xml you downloaded in this case "MK+V7.3.5+FIX+4.4+BSG.xml"
ps.
If you want to change config in the future you need to first clear Gcam data/cache before applying new config to avoid issues. Or just reinstall Gcam.
As for the Video recording don't use [email protected] / [email protected], use 30 fps instead it's much better quality. (60fps is upscaled lower resolution)
