[OTA] File - Complete EP4D download - Verizon Droid Charge

So after boot looping my phone(from messing around with sys files after update) and reinstalling EE to get the update again, I decided to let the update download for the third time and then grab it. This is the update untouched. I looked for this file but did not find it any where. I know there are system dumps out there and the update that had to have the md5 checked.
So is this the same? Maybe. But this is how it was pushed to our cells.
The rar file contains the entire cache dir from my Charge do to the fact that there is one file in the log dir and I do not know if it is needed. The second screen shot shows what is in the rar file.

DO NOT RENAME THIS AND UPDATE WITH IT.

We did have a leak of the update.zip file containing the Gingerbread 2.3.6 update that was being pushed to the phones via OTA.
Your file, at least the ZIP file contained within the RAR, has an MD5 signature of DEA220D570A3B477A04CD2141CD08BC3 which is an exact match to that of the leaked update.zip file that we had a week ago.

No. This was more for the devs if needed or someone that wanted to mess with the raw update file.

Ahhh ... Thanks for the reply.
Where can I download the update? My phone has one of the leaked versions on it flashed through the Samsung Flashing tool, but ideally right at this moment I would like to put the phone back to full stock with the latest update.

There are several update files floating around in case you didnt want the hassle of going back to stock and wait for the update to download.

Thanks for sharing. But I can not see any system img files via 7zip without previously repaired. May I use repaired system img files?
You must be doing something wrong. I've tried WWE and Orange PL and both extract without repairing.

Thanx mate later that day ill extraxt System dump an share it with you guys.
Thanks for the DiskInternals thingy
Since i never needed to extract a System.img I never looked for a method but I will remember this. Seems fairly straightforward.
And thanks for the creds.
I will try this one.
Btw, i made a backup with twrp. Ia there any way to get the backed up system.emmc.win file extracted? Renaming it to .tar doesn't work.
What I try to achive is an extracted ROM so I can deodex the apks

add .tar to the end of each image and under Linux or cygwin use tar -xvf xxxx.tar
Hmm... Hoped there's anything for win 8.1
...setting up cygwin
Edit: @LeeDroid
Nothing happens when doing the command in the cygwin window...
Worked like a charm
I did have to edit the ConvertHima.bat and remove the line set wf=%cd%\ for it to work
but everything else was spot on .. thanks!!
Anyone need the 0PJAIMG_HIMA_UL_L50_SENSE70_ATT_NA_Gen_Unlock_1.32.617.6_R2_Radio_01.01_U11440221_59.04.50303G_2_F_release_426167_signed.zip
System.img or Dump
Worked great I think. I did get an error, and I received this error 4 times for sparse.img, 2,4,6,8. Here is the error: - "1 [main] sparse2img 7912 find_fast_cwd:". It also says "WARNING Couldn't compute FAST_CWD pointer. Please report this problem to the public mailing list [email protected]". I wrote cygwin, and got a reply from a Marco stating, "Dear Hal, Same answer as given last month to another guy". Then gave me this link https://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2015-05/msg00318.html. Followed by, "Please report the solution to whom provided the ConvertHima.bat". The answer in the link basically says a utility called rsync is being used, and the person who provided it is bundling it with an old version of the cygwin kernel. I did however get a new system_hima.img, and I started ConvertHima.bat. After completion I have what appears to be a complete system image. It's 3.53Gb in size, and has the folders - app, bin customize, etc, fonts, framework, lib, lib64, lost+found, media, priv-app, tts, usr, vendor, xbin, and has the file build.prop. It appears to have all the Deodexed APK's in app and priv-app. This is from the T-Mobile RUU. I'm using Window 8.1.
I'm trying to create a system dump (1.40.708.9)but was stuck at step 2. Where can I download my ROM.zip?

That could be true. Seems like this is to extract M9's rom from an RUU and not from the phone itself.

@AndroidFire is it possible to make an Odin flashable out of a flashable .zip?? I ask because it'd be great to be able to flash custom ROMs in Odin, would make my life so much easier since the S6 doesn't have an SD Card slot!

It's not a bad upload. I had to download it using internet download manager, for some reason when downloading it through the browser the download fails.
The original file is the BIN file. I just renamed it. Let me put the file in 7zip and upload it so it's unchanged.

In Total Commander, it shows the contents of the zip are fine... the .bin, the .mbn.. and metafiles....

I have a question how are you able to download that on a pc if Samsung
will only allow connections from a specific user agent header string.
I have a packet dump of the download and I have verification from the server and the correct file size in bytes and the MD5 Hash sum. They also match yours so I can verify you and I both have the full correct file from the OTA server
What you need to do is pause the download, start package capture, resume the download.
From the PCAP, merge the Host part with the GET part. My download link is still working after 3 hours. I use Chrome to download
My link looks like this:
Code:
http://fota-secure-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/TMB/SM-G935T/nspx/360ad212968a4bf88775210654d8be20.bin?px-time=XXXXXX&px-hash=XXXXXXXXX&px-wid=XXXXXX-XXXXXX&px-wctime=2016-1
is this the ota.zip file?

here is my idea on how to repair / correct the header of the zip so it may be flashable via recovery. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69874795&postcount=1002
If not then I think it can only be flashed with the fota.apk I think it does something to the zip before it flashes it.
I also did some poking around in the zip file and notice the update script is checking for the exact 6.0.1 build and flashing everything as a DIF, not as a regular update would.
I've downloaded the BIN file provided in the forum, now what should I do to install the update?!
if it helps any ive downloaded this zip file and when trying to copy it to SD Card i get a unexpected error that device may have been uplugged but any other file i try to copy works without issue, theres definetly some sort of security, ive also redownloaded file 3 times to see if it was a download issue which i now know its not
Edit: downloaded straight to sd card into FOTA folder for the hell of it tried to flash it and get 2 errors, 1. footer is wrong and 2. signature verification failed

If you want to repack nb0 image:
edit files "list" of unpacked nb0 image, remove .md5 file from list.
Not guarantee moded packed nb0 will work - OST may give an error. Some images work some require md5. Depending from mlf content.
05.04.18 v3.4
-fixed long filenames in nokia firmware
-added repacking (may not working for new images for OST 3.1.4 with md5 check permanent)
27.01.18 v3
-added unpacking for nokia firmwares
-supporting images up to 6 gb
Thank you for the tool. Took a lot of searching to find this topic for v2.
Unfortunately Nokia has changed something in the .nb0 format and the extracting fails mid process.

Packing back is now in development. OST is using special table now for different files, so not 100% packing is ok.
But you dont need it! You can flash in OST by selecting of unpacked .mlf file
Yes, thanks, tried that, working.
I need now to figure a way to change the system.img, cause the md5 check is ruining that for me.
The version of firmware i have for okia 6 ta-1003 have no .mlf file, and if i try to take just the system.img file from it and put in ta-1000 extracted firmware(same hardware, different android customisation, 1000 is for china) i get a md5 error.
If i manually update the size and md5 checksum in md5 file, also crashed.
A bit offtopic here, but anyway, thanks for the tool, is very helpfull

just wait for it to flash, it took around 5 minutes for me, when you see that is not responding just click on app and it will update unpacking status.
I found a scatter file after extracting. can I simply extract .nb0 file and flash with sp flash tools or there is something additional needed before flashing the extracted content through sp flash tools?

Hey guys,
I have been trying to root my RMX2075 and was going to try the recovery that's available, but i didnt flash it in the end.
So I was going to use Magisk to patch the boot.img, but when i have downloaded the rom and tried unzipping its in a weird format and most of the files didnt unzip correctly and failed.
I think that you will have use python to do create a zip file that you could then use, but i know nothing about python at all.

you should do backup first in your backup and restore settings, just to be sure, then i think it is more effective to use root software available for android 10 or 11, then backup your stock firmware via adb and adb pull, so you can revert back once the patch fails, well lesson learned, i forgot to backup my stock firmware, and this happen to me, stuck on bootloader, after flashing recovery.img and misc.bin to my rmx2072, i tried to flash rmx2071 TWRP, so now i am waiting for stock rom that will be available for this coming months, if someone can pull their recovery.img for rmx2072 and misc.bin i will b e very thankful to them, thanks

pan baidu has a speed limit, my account is limited on 120kbps damn this will take 12hours to download 1 ofp files
i'm still downloading..
i managed to download the file, and i'm uploading it in mediafire, the thing is my phone reboots in bootloader after 10-15seconds, i think this bug is caused by misc.bin from rmx2071, any ideas to fix reboot issue? so i can brush the OFP files without sweat
