[ROM][6/5/2010] Ic3Rom v2.9 - Super Fast - AOSP Look - OC'd - JIT - LiveWallpapers

Hello, everyone. After a long few days of putting a rom together, I finally think I have a stable rom that is actually very nice and fast. It is based off Damage Control v2.08.1 and I also took the launcher.apk from MatrixROM and the rotary vanilla lockscreen. I will be posting screenshots soon and updating this thread and cleaning it up because it's been a long night. I just wanted to share so I could get some comments on it tomorrow morning.

Settings - Personalization - "Scenes" "Home wallpaper" or "Lock screen wallpaper" Will give you FC's, as this is a NONE SENSE ROM!

Nah, Koni's a nice guy, and pretty straight-forward. I, on the other hand, am apparently a mean-spirited jackass and a sarcastic jerk (thanks Oscar, for showing me the errors of my ways )

Looks pretty good. I might check it out when you post your update. I have considering going vanilla. You just might be giving me the opportunity to do just that. Thanks for your hard work and contributing to the community.

Well, to start off, the ROM is well optimize, gotta say because is polished to the HTC Legend standards, there is no ASOP other than the Lock screen.
In my first boot, before the HTC Wizard, I got a Rosie FC, weird right cuz your ROM has no Rosie.apk on it, I was able to to boot and got to the dashboard when I notice Home was the default.
As you might know, a lot of Devs are implementing their ROMs not only to be stable, but more like a Custom ASOP+HTC joinned. I was hoping to see that in this one.
Why don't you try implementing the Android KB, the new Dialer - you can find that in the Vanilla ROM from Darch, and hopefully Gvoice will work.
Dont forget about protected Apps under the Market.apk
I hope this helps giving you new goals in your ROM

ROM is good and stable...IMO since this has a aosp feel...go with or atleast include android stuff cause the sense stuff is WEAK...... just my .02 thank for the cool rom man

I thought 0.6 was pretty good, I've been flashing new roms like crazy lately and came across this one and I'm going to give 1.0 a try tonight. I'm looking for a stock android rom that is very fast.

Endymion V3.5 ROM
This is based on the official 1.05.401.4 WWE RUU for Runnymede (final version - release-keys) with several tweaks and optimizations, plus a modified UNITY kernel (credits for great base go to m-deejay). Actually, this kernel is based on the Hyperion kernel, with different settings. The V2.2 Endymion kernel includes:

V3.5 builds upon V3.4, with some updates and consolidating the proven stability of previous versions. It's been over 3 months since last update, and Endymion V3.4 is still one of the most used ROMs for the Desire S. V3.5 includes Endymion Control Centre, slightly modified from V3.4. In V3.5 I removed the Pdroid and Droidwall tabs, leavin to the user the choice of installing the standalone apps or not. It makes a cleaner interface.
Endymion Control Center was built by me from the ground up. The application is programed on top of the HTC opensense SDK, seamlessly integrating with other sense elements on the rom. The Control Center is installed by default, and it detects if the optional addons package was installed. If it was, the Theme Manager part will also work, if not, all other functionalities are still available to the user.

- Theme: Stock, IceHD, HoneHD or GoldRush
- Fonts: Stock, Roboto, Segeo, Ubuntu

New Endy tweaks
- Change animations speed on the fly (with a slider)
- CPU Control: Control daemon controller, max an min frequencies for wake and sleep states, cpufreq governor, IO Scheduler, you name it. Taken from Reaper.

- Turn on/off GPU rendering (just for kicks, but leave it on, seriously)
- Change scrolling smoothness (tradeoff with speed)
- Change V6 Supercharger profiles on the fly (default, aggressive and insane)

- Bass boost: choose to give a bass boost on beats
- Disable Rosie Spinning: turn on/off the fast "caroussel" spinning of Rosie

Regarding themes, changes are valid after reboot, and do not require any sort of flashing. You can still apply any UOT mods you want, and revert back to any included themes with the Theme manager. For the IceHD and HoneyHD themes, I suggest also choosing the matching skins, also included.
Since V3.1 the addons are installed to the sdcard, so there's minimal overhead to your data and system partitions.
Note that I did not create the bootanimations, neither the IceHD and HoneyHD themes! Credits go to the original authors: he_shteone64 for the themes, and the bootanimations (and lots more) you can find here.

Installation Instructions:
- Full wipe is required, even coming from V3.4. It's been over 3 months since I asked for a Endly clean install, so give me a break.
- Install V3.5_base
- Optionally flash V3.5 addons package. You cannot use the old addons!
- BUT the first thing you should do after setting up your phone is go to "settings->tweaks->rosie options->enable quick scroll " and choose 2D. Trust me on this.

Using the ROM now as we speak
Works great I really like the new HTC music feature to get album art, the data counter etc
Really nice work man
only small problem is fonts are too small
Although i will be going back to Hyperion for stable rock solid use
In HTC usic now, they seem to have got rid of SRS and Dolby now! and you can only use enhancer when you have headphones plugged in
EDIT: Beats do not work in the ROM. I get FC when i enable it
Bit of a silly move by HTC IMO

I noticed HTC have integrated a sort of CPU app now !
You can manually choose whether you want best performance/power save/ecnomy etc. Nice touch for non-rooted users on the XL

I really like the small fonts
Fits perfectly in my opinion.

I confirm that beats FCs if you disable it and then enable it through the notifications pulldown.
If you use the in-app menus it works fine. Takes some time to switch, though...

Nope, i think the Runnymede is a WVGA device
But it has a 4.7" display... could that affect it?
I can really see how this Sense has elements of being between a tablt and a phnoe...
Some apps you can tell are designed to make use of the bigger screen. (i.e music, browser etc)

Yeah, my mistake. I'm sure it was announced as qHD tho
quite possibly. Android scales fine, but it could be due to Sense.

beats issue fix added to post #2
Ok,
In a time honored fashion of fixing early bugs, fix for beats issue is added to post #2. Now transition from sound enhancer to beats is instantaneous (and working well). It also no longer FCs when turned on/off from notification bar.

I installed it coming from 2.39 and DAMN. This feels even more smooth (without tweaking). Only playing with it for 20 minutes, but this is it!

dude, you should care about "your device" performance for daily use more than "quadrant score"

When i had 2 wishes for this rom i would have the tweak to change the personalize button of the navbar to something else, cause when the phone is set up its simply useless.
And the other thing: the size of background wallpaper has another size than other Sense 3/3.5 Roms, so my Wallpapers doesn't fit for this.
A bug or a feature? I would change it, if i could.

Forget about quadrant scores. Does the rom feel fast and smooth? If it does, good we have done well
Does it feel slow or laggy? If it does tell us and we can investigate.
Telling us that synthetic benchmark give you a low score is of no help to us.
Also quadrant scores can be manipulated, its is possible for the rom to give a totaly false result.

Sorry we did not get a chance to fix the wallpaper crop issue, that along with an option to personalize the personalize button is on the to do list.

This is slower than the other 3.5 options available. Rosie lags on home screen changeover without them being full either. Tried the 3rd smoothest setting, still lags. Lags in the app drawer and multi tasking. All that too at 1.2.
Good touch on the tweaks. Would be nice to see the Rcmix tweaks there too, if its possible?

At the start of 0:06 seconds, there's like jagged lines in the camera. I'm using the Endymion V2.2 ROM right now, and it has like that problem.. I just wanna know if the Virtuous Affinity has like this kind of camera, like in the video? Thanks!

it feels fast and smooth UNTIL i go to run a game.that is why i care about the quadrant score,games preform terribly on this rom which on others work fine.i run quadrant on all my roms,with the same settings.the actual score dosnt matter,but its a good way to compare 3d performance between 2 roms

I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.

I am not a DHD user, but have started a "bug report" section in the Inspire thread, so I thought I would accumulate the early bugs here for the DHD for NRGZ28's review. It will be easier to accumulate the "bugs" here for our Chef...so let me know if something needs to be added.

7.26.2012 ROM:

3G/4G/H+ Status Bar Icons - Some have reported this as a "bug". The "H" connection status is showing as "4G"; the "3G" connection status is showing as "4G". There is a SystemUI.apk "fix" posted here
2.21.2012 ROM:

Alarm on Status Bar - Alarm Icon disappears after a reboot. You have to go to alarms, uncheck and recheck your alarm to get the alarm icon to show up again.

OC/UV Settings Not Sticking After Reboot - I appear to be the only one reporting this, but OC and UV settings changed via Daemon Controller are not "sticking" after a reboot...sometimes. That is the weird part, sometimes after a reboot the settings are still there (this is after a long time of usage). Sometimes after a reboot...and then another reboot (installing apps; changing system apps; etc...requiring a couple of quick reboots), the OC/UV settings revert back to "default". This may be a protection feature built in to Daemon Controller?? I would recommend installing the DaemonController-3.3-beta3.apk which is located at the bottom of Sybregunne's Post #1 here. (NRG's ROM includes DaemonController-3.1.apk)

HD Video Orientation Playback in HTC Gallery - Please see this post for explanation and fix. ... Fixed in the 2.21.2012 Sense 3.5 version

Addons for 11.27.2011 Sense 3.0 Version:
Sense3 camera+ ver.2 - Nice camera update by 'Lyapota'. Panorama! Gallery effects work!
I installed the 'orig_camera_Runny4.zip' in recovery; rebooted; back to recovery and installed the 'lyapota_camera_plus2_Runny4.zip'. (Actually, my 2nd flash was the 'Blue_lyapota_camera_plus2_Runny4.zip' skinned by 'Rayford85' since I'm running NRGZ28's "Themed" ROM). I have not encountered any FC's. After flashing, I had to reinstall the HD Video Orientation Playback in HTC Gallery...see bug report.

A few words about this ROM.
The screenshots in the first picture show an HD2.. don't worry, this is a ROM for the DesireHD! (lol)
I plan to release a Runnymede Sense 3.5 ROM pretty soon as well.. but for now, let's enjoy 3.0 for what it is. Still a great and STABLE ROM!

What? Desire HD is mentioned numerous times, and Inspire 4g shares rom compatibility, so please do your homework before leaving comments.

Is there a battery mod that removes the %?

Been preferring Bliss lately but missed the data speed i had with Wild Child's roms so i implemented his data tweaks it into the build.prop of BlissDroid.....my data speeds doubled so figured i'd share.
Radios 12.39a.60.19x_26.06.06.30_M and 12.56.60.25x_26.10.04.03_M seem to work best with his tweaks....in my region anyway

Everything works..,,gps locks on super fast, screen animations and transitions are smooth and buttery..after editting my build.prop to adjust my ro.hspada.rils im getting 4mb down and 1mb up im quite satisfied with my speed must be getting throttled though only have been seeing 2mb an 1mb speeds as of late but thats a network issue.

my girl has been running this rom for about a week, everything working great on her inspire 4 g, only 2 random reboots so far no other issues, great work and excellent rom....thank you

I've been using this ROM exclusively for about 3 weeks now and I have no problems everything works!!! No bugs, random resets etc... Maps sync in about 20-30 seconds, fb contact photos sync to contacts. Again... No problems.

Excellent rom! Everything works so far. Just curious, is this ROM sort of sluggish for anyone else?

Like the Rom. Anyway to customize the quick links on left side?
Also, I use Handcent. Is there anyway to change so it the default messaging app? I have changed in Handcent but still reverts to stock.

Just got the HTC Inspire yesterday and after I rooted it this was one of the first roms I flashed on it...All I can say is WOW...the Rom is awesome. I've had no force closes or anything yet and evrything runs smooth and looks great. Good Job

I like this ROM and use it on my Inspire 4G. Is there an option where i can remove arrow keys on keyboard.
