I haven't gotten mine yet, but I used this case for my 10.1 and I loved it. Now it's even cheaper for the 8.9. Happy to write a mini review when I get the case but for this price I had to share. 10 dollars shipped. Hopefully this price stays that way for all of you.

It is very good! It looks very professional and the has a nice slim profile.
I got one for my new 8.9 as well, and though it shows its cheapness in the quality of the faux leather, the roughess of the cut and stiches, the thickness of the clip, etc, it is very functional and so for that price (10 dollars total) it is hard to complain and most likely I ll keep it too.

I got the deal thanks to the operator of this thread. great price and fast delivery - no complaints there.
However, the case has a serious design flaw - including bad design decision by Samsung as well. The onla way the case works for angled view, the bottom speakers of the tab sit in the shallow groves which are a soft material and i) they do not keep the angle stable and ii) forget about watching a movie or listening to music!
I turned the tab 180 degrees so the speakers face upwards but now the power button sits in the groves and tend to blank my screen from time to time.
Só if you do any form of multimedia then this case is not recommended.
sorry for the bad news but since the case got only 5star reviews in Amazon I felt a need to share a different opinion.

I bought this case since it seems to be one of the better options currently, especially at the price. I am actually very happy with it. Someday I may replace it with a keyboard folio case, but for now it does it job and looks decent. Most of the other cases cover part of the front of the tablet and IMHO that looks tacky.

The Vipertek is definitely thinner. Don't worry about how well the Vipertek case holds the tablet. The connection is very firm, there is no way it will fall out accidentally.
for me I prefer to use my tab in portrait mode. is the 360 rotate case better or thi�s amazon case?

$73, before shipping? Sorry, I'll stick to my Vipertek; pretty much the same case, it's made well, and less than $20 with Amazon prime. It's even got an additional slot inside the top cover for an extra viewing angle.

Thanks to the OP I am quite pleased with the Vipertek case. Beats the over priced bulky Belkin case I got with the tab hands down.
Had mine for a while now. It leaves marks on the screen when closed for a while and the screen is dark, but you cant notice them when powered on.
Just got my Galaxy Tab 8.9 Vipertek case from the online jungle store. <grin>
I feel much better about my wife throwing the tablet in her purse and not scratching it all up. The only complaint I have, and I knew this when I bought it due to reviews at said online jungle store, is that the speakers are not very loud when using the adjustable viewing angles (they get buried in the soft padded base). But that is more of a design issue with the tablet than the case imo. The case is a tremendous value.

Hey, Just yesterday I was looking for the same... found these Trident case brand, I cannot post the link, but just do Tridentcase dot Com on the tablet section, click on other and then samsung... they appear rugged... right now I'm short on cash so I wont be buying anytime soon, if you do let us know how they feel, if they are really rugged :good:

I since found what I may eventually buy as it looks sweet. Don't have it yet but definitely on the top of my list for a good rugged case!
I found one alternative at ebay... it only cost $12, received it after 2 weeks... quality is good.
There has been drastic drop in the price for almost 84%, lol. How come the initial price was 60$, that's a fortune for such case.. My job here is done.:angel:

FYI,
just did some research on this seller and found out that the same seller was selling fake griffin iphone cases. And I'd say this s view cover is also fake.
No harm taking chances though, as amazon has great buyer protection.

You are correct about the complaints regarding the Griffin, however, there are as many postings that indicate the case is original and one alleging to be by persons who worked for Griffin, and apparently believe they are real. WHO KNOWS, and what in the world is Amazon still selling them as advertised when supposedly fake cases are being supplied.??
Someone just posted a video in this section which shows his "OEM" cover puts the phone in S-View mode when the cover is folded back against the phone. Also, his cover has "Samsung" printed on the front top. Neither mine nor the pictures on Amazon have this. Pretty sure the $9.00 are knock-offs (with a magnet problem).

Eh, I ordered two of them, one to keep brand new for resale with the device in a year and the other to swap between it with the aftermarket wireless receiver in it and the upcoming OEM wireless charging cover.... if it sucks, I'll take it up with Amazon, but I've always wanted one just not the price tag associated with it! I only paid a couple $20's more than the MSRP of the S View cover for the phone itself!
I'll gladly report back with my findings - I'll even bring it in to the local BBY and fit both to compare

If you look at amazon now, the s-view case and the flip case are under $10 plus free shipping. And they are Samsung OEM. Shows original price as $59.95.

They will look just like the $59 ones because they are being sold by Samsung... Manufacturer is Samsung.. They are the same thing.
That's like saying the s4 sold on the same site by Samsung is somehow a cheap knockoff. Do an amazon search of galaxy s4 s-view.

wellllllllllllll....... let me correct some things you just said - this is NOT being sold by Samsung, it's being sold by "TopEDepot," whoever the F that is, it's a vendor on Amazon, read: NOT Samsung. The seller is claiming it is made by Samsung, but we'll all soon find out how true that is, I guess!

No OEM Samsung product ever says "Galaxy S IV" on it, not to mention how poorly made the back cover is and the SAMSUNG logo on the back looks like a crappy screen print on the junk cover.... Starting a claim with Amazon to get my money back, oh well, it was worth a shot! I'm loving my S Charging wireless charging battery cover anyways, so it's no big deal, most likely wasn't going to use the S View cover much if at all!

I wouldn't mind the 2 weeks shipping as long as the case is worth it. I love the design but don't want to risk it. I might just get the spigen neo hybrid instead if nobody has any info about the brand or case.
Do a quick search and you would find that this is a quality case brand. They made cases for the s3 and iphone as well.
Most korean cases have really good quality even mercury which is the budget korean case option.
I will be getting one of these soon (red/black) version. If you don't mind waiting 2-4 weeks for me to come back with a review... hang on tight.

Korean Post is usually fantastic in their delivery speeds.
Anyway, S5 won't be out so soon, not since they announced plans for at "S4s" with the S800 processor.
I did a quick search on araree but couldnt find too many reviews, in english at least.. I do see that they made cases for the galaxy and iphone series in the past but I dont know if that can be used as a testimate to the quality of the galaxy s4 cases.

just bit and purchased the red/black one for 47$ on ebay via EMS shipping, link here for those interested ($31 total for free shipping). I should have it by next Weds. This is probably the prettiest case I've seen for the s4.

a tad bit of thickness. But nothing like a commuter or anything from otterbox. It's still pretty thin. The back plastic piece had a pretty smooth feel to it, but still provides a nice grip. the rubber main piece (As I call it) has more of a matte feel to it if you will imo. Provides good grip. Still waiting to be able to get pics sowy. Should have them in the morning.
So my cases showed up yesterday. Took 10 days from when they were updated saying shipped on ebay. The quality is excellent as stated earlier. My one question will be depending on how the back plastic is colored how well will it hold up to scratches. Almost feels like a painted on finish instead of a piece of plastic that is died all the way through. Thickness wise it is a hair thicker than my Spigen Neo Hybrid case. I took a ton of pictures of my girlfriends pink and teal one and my red and white one. I just need to get them posted up.
Do you know any place that is selling a back housing for the S4, that looks like the back of the note 3?
You asking a product that non existent. Most of those manufacturers even don't know how it feels and most of them no ideas like this. Maybe in future, it really look possible because the same camera & led positions on back of S4

I've been looking for back plate replacements lately as well. I specifically want a leather one.

I don't really care if it looks identical to the official one, I just want a backplate with a better grip (without having to resort to cases.) So far I've only been able to find cheap Chinese/Taiwanese crap where the "leather" sticker starts to peel off in a week. I would've thought that Samsung releasing "faux-leather" back on Note 3 would be a kick in 3rd-party accessory market.
