DIY 7.0+ case - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

Missed the Smart Cover from my iPad so I made something that's at least somewhat similar.
It's basically a sandwich of a piece of leather that I burned the android logo into, a stiff piece of cardboard and a soft microfibre inner lining. The edge has been covered in Sugru to get a rubbery edge instead of visible layers. No back protection aside from the strap that holds it in place, not too concerned about the back

It;s the g-string of covers. I dig it.

This is funny as hell. How did you burn the Android logo onto leather?

same way you would with wood, one of those burn-engrave-things

I think I'll buy one and cut a hole into the side to turn it into a dock. XD Does the G2 fit completely into it or does it stick out?

I have it too, and it sits nice even though I use a casemate tough case.
I think that the one with the spare battery charger is more practical and seems to be more stable on the surface is sitting on.
I got the HTC Throne.
No expense spared!

No expense spared.. Solid cardboard!
Info
lol, very nice design, ecological too
I was thinking that a car holder, one of those which stick to the windscreen, would do a good job. The sucker could stick to the table, and you can change the angle/orientation as you wish.
There are sucker designs that don't need a glass-like surface, that can stick to the dashboard plastic (which is neither smooth nor flat), so it should work for the average table/desk.
As a bonus, you don't need to worry about removing cases, since the phone would be held by the adjustable pincers.

Where are these sold?
Now how much does that hurt your reception?

Is the volume rocker as recessed as it looks in the picture? Seems like it'd be a pain to hit inside that channel...

Bummer I don't do Facebook. This the only place they're sold?
I have an aluminum bumper I can't use because it kills reception, with the metal back this thing must be a diy paper weight kit.
Can't see how well this would absorb an impact.. I'm sure if you dropped it, the aluminum would probably crack the screen..

That thing has to KILL GPS reception.
Oddly enough.. I just took off my neo hybrid case because even that was reducing my reception by a noticeable amount.

BKB50 and SCR32 together

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone try to mount Z4T on the keyboard BKB50 with stylish cover SCR32? They both perfectly fit with the tablet, yet I don't know how the combination will be.
I bought the cover and now wonder if it can be used with the keyboard.
Thanks,

Short answer = No!
slightly longer answer = There is a support strut on the style cover that comes down the centre of the back of the tablet and clips along the bottom edge. This prevents the tablet from sitting in the BKB50 dock. If you were to remove this strut, there would be nothing to support the back or the back of the tablet when it is on the style cover..
Yes you can, the bottom strut is very flexible and can be unclipped very easy, then place the tablet in the keyboard, the case then folds under the keyboard with ease.

Yes you can, but you cannot then close the case with the keyboard fixed.

thanks all for your replies. As Collarus mentioned above, that's how I plan to use them together. The Style cover is what I use regularly while the keyboard is used occationally

Back cover

Maybe this been covered before but I just got new back cover from Neo version for my S5. Feels much nicer and looks better that original. It's soft touch, similar to nexus 5. Here are some pics in case anyone was curious.

I just put self healing cover from xtremeguard on mine less then dollar shipped if you sign up for email deal or what ever. Normal get 90%off. It keeps the phone nice plus it get a softer feel. Actually it the the company i use for screen protectors too. H9 glass and self healing on front then self healing on back. You have to custom cut some of the self healing to use some cases though. It is only on the parts that are not part of the actual screen so who cares if it's slightly scratched.
