[Q] App Drawer Hierarchy

Alright just wondering if there is a way out there to organize the app drawer a bit.
So far, I have tried ADW launcher, and made custom catalogs, so 1 page for games, 1 page for settings and stuff, 1 page for media... and so on, but I would rather ditch the page setup for something more like folders.
Yeah, I understand that it could add extra clicks to getting to the apps, I think it would speed it it if I could view by function and not search through a full drawer.
Open the app drawer, and see folders called "games","Media","Settings"... and so on. Just kinda wondering if anyone has seen such an app or way to do it.
Hmm yeah I know what you mean. I usually use LauncherPro and tried ADW but none really have management within the drawer other than what you just said.
Go Launcher is your answer. It's almost like ADW has all the features that LP and ADW have, but you can actually create folders within the drawer, which is pretty neat.
You can add folders to your home screens then drag apps and such into them. You can rename the folder by opening it and pressing the word "folder."

yes, while this does work, I prefer to keep home screens open for widgets, and Icons in the app drawer. Thanks for the tip tho.

[Q] Is this possible??

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I have a "stock" rooted D2G and use LauncherPro. Is there an app or trick or something else that will allow you to put a two line name under an app icon on a homescreen or make the character lengths consistent?
For example, under my Folder Organizer icon, it says "Folder O" with the O cut in half. What's interesting is Timeriffic (which I don't even use, but notice the amount of characters) has the full name under its icon.
BTW I really like my new font and rather not change it and I know I can just have icons with no text, but like the text, but not with a bunch of partial names.
So is there such thing or something that will equalize the character playing field since I can easily adjust names in Desktop VisualizeR?
Thx!!
Forget launcher pro... use adw ex Launcher... it has the answer to each and every question of yours... njoy..

Thanks. Does it really have all those capabilities? Reason being, I literally tried ADW a half dozen different times and I really liked some of the features, but I really didn't like the dock bar and that it doesn't run nearly as smoothly as LP does on my D2G for some reason.
Can you post a screen shot of your problem? It would be easier for me to understand... and adw is awesome.. it has many customisations...
You can also change the density of your screen to make it a little more compact.. so that every thing fits into it....

Ok... now i see whats your prob.. i think there is nothing that can give a double line icon name.. but there is an option in ADW EX LAUNCHER... under UI SETTINGS-> ICONS -> select new icons.. ->. Go to icon settings.. there you can modify the size of icon and text lable of it... i would also recommend you to change your dextop columns from 5 to 4.. maybe i would bring a change, as it would get more space..!

Here, have a look at my screen... i am using adw ex Launcher... the plus point in ADW EX is that when you long press the icons, you can edit the icon, and also rename it as desired, so in your case you can make the name of the icon short to fit in that place...! Cool isint it? Like in the pic..one icon has full name of OI FILE MANGER which as you can see ia half cut... and in the other i have edited the name to just FM..! Hope you got my point..!
Hit thanks if helped..!

Thanks. FYI I just changed from 4 to 5 columns and there wasn't much difference in the labels. I guess I'll either have to wait for LP to allow such customization OR I'll have to live with it.
Thanks again for your help!!

I get your point and it is nice that you can edit labels and icons like that in ADW, but unfortunately the dock bar flexibility and more importantly the fact that ADW is not nearly as smooth on my phone as LP, keeps me with LP.
Thanks again for your help and patience!
Desktop Visualizer allows you to edit the labels, no need to switch launchers.
Here is the screen shot... sorry the previous one was a mess..

Thanks. I mentioned that in the OP, but it still locks me into a certain amount of characters and a second label line would make my homescreeens that much nicer.

You have quite a nice screen density. On my Mate 7 everything looks much more zoomed in, which I don't like. For example, I get way less notification icons in the status bar, maybe only 6-7.
Changing the font to "small" didn't do the trick.
Any help on this?

Now my navbar is also over the left.
I tried much xposed modules and delete some...
Don't know exactly, which!?
I'll have a look at the modules and post here, if I find it!

Hello, i have a problem to with Noav. Many times Nova Launcher kill it self and go back to stock Launcher. Who can tell me what can i do? Other Launcher have the same problem (apex etc.)
Manage Apps, the bottom left of default-app settings, Launcher. Select at Nova overview. There you'll find all Launcher installed.
Nova launcher keeps crashing on me, for no reason, 2/3 times when i just unlock my phone with fingerprint sensor. M7 32gb amber gold.
Do you use any of Huawei's own widgets (e.g. the weather widget) ? If so remove them and your alternative launcher will not crash anymore.
I'm using the weather clock widget yes. I'll try it out. Tnx
Nova launcher crushers every time I try and place the amber weather widget, anyone has come across this?

[Q] How to arrange icons alphabetically?

Using Mate 7's Emotion Launcher, I cannot arrange program icons alphabetically, so they are in a mess if you are supposed to find one app quickly. Does anyone know how to line them properly?
Anyone, people ? Is it rocket science or else ?

It becomes so weird if you have to search 4-5 screens packed with icons and not find what you ask for. Anyway, no disturbance, I switch to Nova Launcher.
it certainly is weird. I put icons into folders to keep my homescreen clean.but there is no such sorting function in folders either.
fortunately that's one of the very few issues I have with EMUI.
Just use Nova launcher.
You can use search function to quickly find by app....
It is available if you swipe downwards on homescreen.

i have got same problem.
i can't arrange icons alphabetically. when edit mode shaking icons arraging to top but all icons not order by name!!!. huawei please help.
You must drag each icon into alphabetical order.
There is NO setting or option to arrange icons in alphabetical order while using EMUI.
LL13-
Same issue here in Honor 5c on EMUI 5.
Workaround is to clear Honor Home storage data.

There is a setting for icon size. And also you can change the DPI. These are the 2 ways I know for makeing icons smaller.
