Hi everyone!
I'm writing to introduce "droplat," a new app available in the Android Market and V CAST App Store.
droplat is a location-based file sharing service that enables people to share files with others nearby. Users "check in" at a location to see the files that people are sharing. You can also leave files at a physical location for up to 2 weeks in a "Fog" that's visible to anyone that checks into the area. It provides a great way to transform real-life experiences, like concerts, sporting events, and so much more.
Check out our quick intro video on YouTube, "Meet droplat - Big Concert"
(sorry, it won't let me post a direct link...but you can find it by searching for droplat on the YouTube site)
droplat is currently a finalist in Verizon's "V CAST Apps: Power Your Apps Contest," where we are going head-to-head with 4 other apps for the grand prize. If you have access to the V CAST App Store, please consider voting for droplat in this contest!
If you're the early-adopter type, and can stomach a few bugs, we'd love to have you as part of the founding members.
All feedback welcome! Thanks for your time,
- droplat team

Looks like the development for this app has gone quiet.
Can't create an account, can't link to facebook - it just gives error messages saying it can't connect.
Little help?
Thanks

RedditTV makes Youtube videos popular on reddit.com easily available on your android device. It's been out a couple of weeks and I just did a new version.
If you have a media center, you can send the video from your phone and directly to it. Just long-click any video you want to send.
Currently supports:
-Google TV
(requires Google TV Remote)
-XBMC
(configured in settings)
With the latest update, this is probably the first app in the world which has a dedicated rickroll mode!
Recently implemented:
-Manage subreddits to be used (add custom and delete standard)
-Save and load videos to/from your reddit account
-Rickroll mode!
Planned improvements:
-Upvote and downvote
Please let me know if you have any suggestions for improvements.
Thanks! This should help with my chronic Reddit addiction. Looking forward to installing it and giving you some feedback.
BTW, welcome to XDA!
Reddit addict
I haven't been using reddit for very long, but it has definitively changed the way I interact with the internet. The app is my way of saying thanks back
Thank you for the warm welcome to XDA. Have usually been in read-only mode here, but I'll probably participate a bit more in the time to come.
I don't know if you like photography or not but anyway I found this interesting so let's go!
What is Instagram?
Instagram, the hottest iPhone startup right now, isn't complicated or even revolutionary.
It's a simple photo-taking and photo-sharing app that has taken over Silicon Valley and is filling our Twitter feed with fun, cute photographs.
You can get it for free from Apple's App Store.
What's it for?
First, Instagram is for taking pictures, adding filters to make them look retro, and then for sharing them with sites like Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr, and Facebook.
And second, it's a simple social network of other people's photos. You can "like" or comment on the photos, and see what's new. It's easy and doesn't take much time or effort. This is one of the reasons it has become so popular so quickly.
Android users – the founders that created the famed Instagram app have finally finished Instagram for Android. The new app was shown off this week at the SXSW conference, and the developers behind Instagram say that the Android app will be out very soon. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “very soon? Wait, haven’t they said that before?” Yes; it’s true, we’ve been hearing hype about an Instagram app for Android for some time now, but this time the app is finally in beta form – and the app was actually demonstrated at the popular tech conference.
So what could possible make an excellent app even better? Well, not too much is known about the new app (a very limited beta launch at the moment), but those who were in attendance at the conference (and were privy to the demonstration) were told that the new app is faster and can be shared across a lot more social networks. Aside from sharing an Instagram photo on Facebook, Android users will be able to send any photo to Twitter, Tumblr, and other choice selections – a really great added feature!
Download in Google Play!!
lightbox is also a similar app....
Its kinda usless though... take a pic, edit to make it look retro... makes you look old... and vain as well.

When?
Still anybody knows, but the beta is avaliable for some users, so the first version will be in the market soon.
Now you can ask for a beta in the official page http://instagr.am/android/.
Hope you liked it.

ALso, Instagram has more than a million users worldwide! ( I believe)
And, For some reason you seem to like it.
And, its a trend to trend old and retro stuff!
For the BEST example, If you are a Facebook user,
You would prefer your DP to be of one color.
You will either keep it black-and-white or overlay a color of green or anything on it.
That also makes it look retro.
And, that's trending.
Similar apps for android now availbel are Pixlr-o-matic and Little Photo.
But, Instagram is what the pros use
Pixlr-o-matic can't do the same already ?

Everybody and @bangalorerohan (the only one from xda I have in instagram) you MUST test "cymera", a free app with the biggest combinations of effects, filters, features to photo editing. Is really amazing and appearance is great!!
Hi all,
After 8fact, some friends and I have now created the app Best Vines.
As you may already know, Vine is a popular social network where users can share 6 seconds videos. Powered by and thanks to a Facebook page, you can watch the funniest and best "Vines" using this app.
We've again tried to design the app in accordance with the Holo theme, inspired by the official Vine app.
Features
- View, share, and save Vine videos
- Surprise yourself with a random video
- Search Vines
- Toggle between small and HQ media to save bandwidth
Credits
All contents are property of Best Vines.
More detailed credits can be found on the about screen in the app.
Download
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.avodev.bestvines
We would really appreciate it if you could check out the app and provide us with feedback for future apps.
First, about to get it.
Also, did you know you can't die from holding your breath.

Sorry for the late reply, but this feature, together with some other great features, has been added to today's update.
Hello XDA users!. I have developed a TV series app that helps keep track of your favorite or currently watching TV series, but also notifies you of episode releases to never forget or miss an episode!
Firstly it integrates with theTVDB.com for all its information, and you can also synchronize your favorite series, your language preference and rate episodes and series.
Its main features are:
Notifications when episodes are aired so you will not miss upcoming episodes.
Automatic updates. The app automatically updates the series you add so you will always be notified about newly announced episodes.
Get informed about newly announced episodes of your added series but also get informed for upcoming series. You can also set genre filters for the upcoming series notifications in order to avoid getting notified for series that do not match your preference.
Quiet hours. If some episodes are being aired during night time, the app can be set to postpone the notifications until the specified time, to avoid waking you up!
Keeping track of your watched episodes by marking them as watched. Multiple episodes can be also marked as watched, to help users sort long running series quickly.
Images of actors and series posters are also added along with series information. These can be easily be viewed through the app and also you can save series banners in your smart phone's gallery.
View when the next episode of each series is being released quickly from the series list. Also there is an ordered list of non watched episodes, to help you keep track and organize what to watch next!

Sorry for not creating links for the above but since I'm a newbie to the forums I can't post links yet.
I hope that you find this app useful, a lot of work has been done and its main purpose is to make the life of series lovers easier.
If you would like some more features added feel free to send feedback for its future updates
