Hi,
I have searched all over this forum but i am unable to get the solution. hence created a new thread.
my samsung galaxy gt i9003 is unable to detect wifi hotspot created on my laptop. other nokia mobiles are able to detect and connect. i am having gingerbread xxkpn version. what i need to do so that i can have access to intenet on my laptop on my mobile. please help. if there is any good thread on this please divert me there.

ur method wont work since google or might be only samsung, has disabled adhoc connectivity on android.
but softwares like mhotspot and connectify allows you to use ur laptops net on ur phone.
if ur going for connectify then it might give you BSOD, in that case u shld use older versions of connectify.
i prefer mhotspot

what is the basic maning and use of ad hoc network in galaxy 3 ??
can it just give access to internet from computer to mobile without a wifi router
how can a wifi phone get internet if the computer doesnt have a wifi router ??
please i dont know anything or have a wifi router at home plz help me

Laptops got wifi but not wifi router.. It means LAPTOPS r meant to connect to wifi network only but not share/create a wifi hotspot.. But tweakin in ur laptop u can do it & it is called adhoc..

you can if u buy yourself a wifi card which must support ad-hoc connections

Interesting... from what I can tell, only Samsung Galaxy S i9000, Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100, and HTC desire devices have been confirmed as working. I will test it for my LG GT540, see if it works and post the results afterwards.
Iam still trying to use fonjector on my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570). I was downloaded all requirements that needed and followed the instructions, in the final step when I 'search device' from my smartphone..the dialog box says 'not found', I was checked my wi-fi connection..and there is no problem with it. My laptop and my smartphone was connected in the same wi-fi environment. What must should I do to fix this? I need help from the master , thanks

ok i got the answer how to access internet in pc via cianogenmod. just go to market download and install ""ClockworkMod Tether"" .

In my office i have a wifi connection but it cant connect in phones it only works on laptop with some mail id and password. so that i tried tethering method to get internet connection from laptop to my android device. but i'm not expert to do this. pls someone help me how to use tethering and is this possible to connect first.
