version 3xx is like a stock rom with few modification and tweaks ( based on XE ) and it mentions in spec that it is sense 3 ( or this sense 3 is a mistyping from the developer ? )
version 4xx is based on sensation which i guess is an older Base but have Sense 3.5
i am very new to sensation

Please note All my Post is accurate , Please see this from the Rom Page for V4.x.x
" Android Revolution HD based on HTC Sensation "non-XE" HTC base
Based on 2.08.401.1 HTC test leaked ROM with HTC Sense 3.5 " for HTC Sensation
V3.x.x is based upon official HTC RUU for HTC Sensation XE , So this is the latest Stock like Rom
V4.x.x is based upon Leaked test RUU for HTC Sensation , So this is the latest leaked test Rom based
Sensation XE is newer and have a bit more hardware feature over Sensation 4G and definitely Sensation
for myself i will go with the sense 3.5 rom V4

Ahh well, now i think i understand what your're pointing to. Sorry for my misunderstanding.
But as a matter of fact you can't compare the two ARHD versions of which one is older or newer. They are two different ROMS. The 3.1.x is based on the official XE RUU and has Android 2.3.4, beats audio and sense 3.0.
The 4.1.x is based on a knewer, leaked RUU that hasn't officially been released by HTC yet with Android 2.3.5 and Sense 3.5, which of course is "non-XE"

some like Official Rom even with less features ( Stable Bug Free Rom ) , no need for fixes and Patches
others like to have the opposite ( me )
So both of them are the latest each in its field
i didn't receive my Sensation 4G yet , So i can't decide

I'm a little confused about the single/dual core thing - can someone explain? I understand the chipset has two cores, but am I to understand only the Sense 3 ROM can make use of both? Is there a big performance drop if you use the Sense 3.5 ROM?
Thanks

ARHD is awesome, but after it is a personnal choice.
Choose your ROM in depends on what you expect and what you want.

i am not a developer , but i can tell you what i experienced
i have Incredible 2 phone ( single core 1 ghz ) ,and both sense 3 and 3.5 run fine on it
in fact i felt sense 3.5 is faster ,or at least same speed

The way the dual core works... (as explained to me) is when the first core needs back up then the second one kicks in in order to relieve the stress, thus improving performance as oppose to a single core alone.
The 4 series roms are different from 3 series by not being based on xe and based on a leaked version of 2.3.5 as far as the dual core tweaks they are the same.
And now the latest is 3.6.9 AND 4.1.9
Lol talk a little and the tech world passes us by huh?

Hi, I've been trying to download android revolution 5.0.2. I managed to download everything except arhd 5.0.1. Everytime I click the link, it opens up a new tab and tries to find the server until it gives up. I've tried using both chrome and firefox and 2 different computers. Is this a server problem or am I doing something wrong?

[Q] sensation xe rom

I searched the web and didnt found any answers...expect for this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1262539
but it don't look like the sensation xe system
I want to change my rom to the same as the sensation xe and use my beats earphones with HTC custom beats audio.
thanks!
A fast skim through the ROM forums shows that at least these 3 ROMs support your beats headphones custom audio settings.
InsertCoin 3.3.1 - Already on Sense 3.5
Android Revolution HD 3.6.2 - Sense 3.0
Sense-o-Maniac v.1.3 - Already on Sense 3.5
They all removed some stuff and changed a few things, but in general it still looks like the original Sensation (XE).
The Sense 3.5 ROMs look a little different since they already got the Sense 3.5 update that is not yet officially released for Sensation and Sensation XE, but will definitely come sooner or later.
Thank you for your fast response!
So each rom of the listed above support beats audio just like HTC senstion XE and compabable with the HTC senstion?
I found them here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1181319
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198684
So the difference is the Sense version and small bugs in each rom?
And here you find the Stock ROMs from HTC ...
I flashed the XE ROM RUU_Pyramid_LE_HTC_Europe_1.73.401.2_Radio_10.58.9 035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2_release_215830_signed on my HTC Sensation and it works perfectly ...
What is the different between them?

[Q] Revolution HD

Guys,
Which version should i install for sensation xe ? revolution hd 6.4.0 or 6.3.1 XE ?. Another question is that can I install "v1.20 1782 MHz" kernel over this ROM ?
Thanks
Hani
6.4.0 is based on the final version released by htc. The XE version is not out yet as stated by mike.
And yes you can use the 1.2.0 kernel with 6.4.0 rom
You can install both, the choice is yours.
6.3.1XE - Testrelease with beats audio
6.4.0 - Final Release without beats audio
These are the only differences.
But soon may come a 6.4.0XE release.
And yes, you can install the 1,8Ghz Kernel.

If you use the beats audio features then you may want to chose the 6.3.1XE ROM for the time being and upgrade to 6.4.0XE when Mike finishes it. If you don't use beats then save the space and improve your boot time by sticking with the straight 6.4.0
I don't care for beats so I'm running 6.4.0 and its fabulous - the best so far IMO.
As for the kernel you don't need to load a separate 1782MHz kernel as long as you are using 4EXT Mikes roms include the 1.7Ghz overclock support. I believe however that since you have the XE device you select no during setup for the 1.7 option since your already 1.7 by default. (I'm almost positive thats what the instructions said during setup)
Only guys like me with the Sensation 4G need to select to use the 1.7 option.
Perhaps someone with an XE can confirm that my instructions are correct.

With ARHD you get the option of 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz. 1.7GHz is the kernal in a separate thread.
Right you are, I realized my error shortly after hitting submit, but you beat me to it, I gots meself confused... Or maybe its just time for bed. Either way sorry for my error in that regard, still stand that only go with 6.3.1 if you are interested in beats. I personally couldn't be bothered by it, but I use my phone for heavy business use not personal music.
*going to bed now*

I have version 6.2.1 on my phone right now, and when the new 6.4.0 came out I was going to flash it as it is the official release. However, I am going to wait because version 6.4.0 is based off the 'non-XE' OTA, meaning there's no beats audio (which I use).
So I'll be waiting a week for everything to settle, and hopefully the official OTA for the XE arrives and there is a new release
Just my opinion.. but if you want to do it right now then flash the 6.4.0, NOT the 6.3.1 as the 6.4.0 is a more stable build.
As for the kernels, any of these will work, there is a 1782 MHz one there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424345
Many thanks guys! I'll wait for the 6.4.0 XE version.

Sensation xe will get sense 4.0?

Will the sensation xe will get the sense 4.0 version found on the htc one series?
If it won't come by an official update, there is/will be a custom rom with it?
Thank you.

HTC aren't releasing Sense 4 for the Sensation (at the moment at least)
There are currently 3 custom roms for the sensation which are based on the HTC One range, have a look the Development threads for Sense 4, all of these have basically the same problems, mainly that Bluetooth doesn't work.
OK, Thanks you.
can lock the thread.

I know that because I compared that rom to stock deodexed and literally 4 things changed, init.post_boot.sh, added some init.d scripts which he nicked off a thread in android software and hacking section, rooted stuff like su binary, SuperSU app and build.prop
But anyway I have already made my opinion of mike1986 clear in other threads...
The fact that all "his" addons are made by other people says all that is needed to say about his ability (or inability) to dev...
In any case, just try a different ROM which does have tweaks

Depends on what you like best:
CyanogenMod - I would recommend OpenSensation or the latest CM nightly
Sense 3.6 - SmartDroid sense 3.6 ROM, my sense 3.6 ROM (DarkForest Sensation)
Stripped Sense 3.6 ROM - HyperSensation
Sense 4.0 - Team Venom ViperS, SmartDroid Daemon, InsertCoin Evolution 2.20, my sense 4 ROM (DarkForest Sense 4)
Sense/AOSP hybrid - SmartDroid Beserk
In short there's loads of ROM's for all different people and the only way you'll find out which one you like best is to flash a few different ones then decide which one to stick with
Have fun!

QUESTION:Android Revolution HD 6.8.0

Phone:HTC Sensation
Hi all,
with the help of this forum I have S-OFF, rooted and installed Android Revolution HD 6.8.0
In the delopers forum for this ROM it states:
This ROM will turn your HTC Sensation into powerful HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio technology and 1.5 GHz dual core!
Do I have to install the Android Revolution HD 6.8.0 XE with Beats Audio ROM to do this? I have checked my CPU speed and its still 1200GHz
Sorry to be a noob!
maybe you didn't choose overclock-able kernel during installation(maybe). Try to check cpu freq with any app from google market to know ur cpu clock speed.
Or, re-flash the phone again following instruction carefully.
-Download "Super Wipe" script
-Wipe/delete data/cache
-flash ARHD rom
hope it helped

It's Ok to flash your sensation with xe's rom. both have same internal hardware :good:
As for ARHD, they offer 3 different ROMs
Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) + Sense UI 3.6 + Beats Audio (HTC stable)
Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) + Sense UI 3.6 (HTC stable)
Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) for HTC Sensation *STOCK* ROMs without changes and modifications
I guess you used *STOCK* ROM
Try any of other roms. 1 with beats audio and other without it. and both's max clock speed is 1.5GHz
also you must have 4EXT Recovery installed
good luck
