The iphone is better, undoubtedly! Oh no wait, it's the Sensation. I'm sure most people in a sensation forum will vote for the iphone though...
Btw what is better, Coke or Pepsi? Maybe I should write CocaCola and ask them...

Damn, there is no best phone. Just the way the best rom does not exist.
In my personal opinion Sensation is better for tech savvy people. iPhones are easy to use, but don't allow so much customization. When it comes to hardware, they're pretty same - Sensation has got a faster processor, more ram... etc, while iPhone has got a way better camera and screen.
If we look at the price Sensation is clearly the winner.

If you love apps, games all that kind of stuff than iPhone, thats why I sold my iphone and instead got me an ipod touch 4thG to keep all my apps, games and music, my Sensation is just my phone which I love!

Sensation !
More configurable
Cheaper (Iphone is so overpiced)
Although because all current custom aosp ROM-s are so bad I am not happy about my Sensation, stock ROM is also kind of faulty. I would always choose android over iphone system because of rooting and many other things but I paid lots of money for phone which at the moment is simply less functional then HTC Desire from my viewpoint.
But again question is again: coke or pepsi, you might see it differently then I do.

No meaning create such thread. For sure here we will bias to sensation the best!!

I have both phones and sensation is way better in my oppinion.
VIPER

Yeah... Sensation wins for me. No doubt i've got some beef with sensation freezes and such. Which I'm told iphone is 'more reliable' and also the software work beautifully with the hardware. But as something I utilize everyday I couldn't stand the screen size or lockdown apple does. I too have an ipod touch 4g for my app needs... 32g although I'm considering selling that too...

My wife has iPhone 4 and My Dad has iPhone 4S. Whenever they have a problem regarding howto they always ask come to me even though I don't own an iPhone. after playing with their iPhone I find that android system is easier to use because of widgets and such. For example: to turn on wifi on iPhone, you have to go to settings>>wifi and slide the slider to on or off. With android, you can have a widget right on the home screen to toggle wifi on/off. Another example is conditional call forwarding. If you want to activate conditional call forwarding like, forward call when unreachable. with ios you have to enter codes or dial *62*[another phone number]# and tap “Call”. There is no setting for it like android does.

Niether.

After all it is absolutely subjective. I know some people having an iPhone and are satisfied with it and dont want to change to another.
I changed from iPhone to Sensation and for me the Sensation or rather the Android OS is much better.

Same here..
I have moved from Iphone4 to HTC SENSATION...
I love my phone.... which is HTC SENSATION.. ... but my feelings still goes for Iphone because of Damn GAME

I went from a G1 to an iPhone 2g to an iPhone 3g to an iPhone 3GS and then to a Nexus one. Since then, I have never looked back
IMHO Android is far better than any iPhone. I loved my iPhone but I dumped her as soon as the Nexus One came out. I got it January 5th, the day it was released. Since then I have had a G2, MT4G, LG G2x, and now the Sensation.
Its all personal preference but when you ask me, I will tell you to think correctly, not differently.

I think its just personal preference. I just switched from the Sensation to the iPhone 4S last week and there are definately pros and cons for each phone.
The thing I miss most about the Sensation was the screen size, but the iPhone's screen is definately better than the Sensation screen.
As far as OS's, again its a matter of personal preferences. I liked widgets in Android and I also loved that I could tweak almost every aspect...
At the same time...iOS is virtually lag free, No force closes, etc.
At the end of the day I switched because I found myself wasting so much time flashing roms and tweaking things. The other reason is that Im an independant music and the iOS music apps are leaps and bounds ahead of the Android music apps. No latency whatsoever.

My opinion:HTC Sensation wins hands down (for me).
Why ? : I wanted customising, home screen data, wanted something that not everyone has, bigger screen than 3.5 inches, something that was not from "APPLE".
IPhone has games ,mail, customisation, great resale and all but it simply did not appeal to me.

I tried the vibrant (first time i left htc android phones) and i was extreamly disapointed just because of that i wouldnt :/ but thats just me
I think the difference here would be the updates would be coming from google not samsung, hardware on my old vibrant was awesome, well except the plastic feel, its software that held it back.
Btw love the look and feel of my mt4g better
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I am. I am a Vibrant owner transitioning to MT4G. Transition has not been smooth: Both handsets I have been sent so far have dust under the screen. Plus I really don't like the MT4G screen...
Only thing is the plastic build, why Samsung?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Hell no! Why would I want to leave what I have now for a plastic feeling phone? Plus, if you ask me its a downgrade. No 4G, really? This is where they lost me. Why build what most will look at as a super phone, but leave out the new speeds in 4G? I rather have 4G over gingerbread any day.
biggest deal breaker for me is no HSPA+
Nobody ever said it didn't come with HSPA+. I doubt that it wouldn't if it is to be such a big hit for them. I also came from a Vibrant and like everyone said, the hardware was great but the software and Samsung support wasn't.
I like the mt4G and I'll stick with it until something more revolutionary comes out. The Nexus S just looks like an iphone wannabe to me (in terms of looks). No thanks.
Yeah...don't jump with "No HSPA+ love"
I have to say, this looks promising, and if it has at least the specs of Galaxy S + HSPA+LED Flash+ FF Camera/Video Chat... Aaaand Gingerbread!!! THAT's the killer folks....
SUX PART for me...... my MT4G is coming in mail in the next few days.
I would never give up my MT4G for a Samsung phone even though updates will come from Google I've been burned way to many times by different Samsung phones I've had in the past not gonna take the chance. If it was a HTC that would be a whole different ball game.
If I had know it was coming out soon I would've waited to check it out.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I'm interested, but I really enjoy this myTouch 4G.
I had the Vibrant, and absolutely loved it save for two things: the GPS/Compass problem (which was never fixed), and the lag in the OS. Besides that, I loved the screen and the media playback.
The Nexus S would have to pull some **** to woo me. I'm talking: first-party docks, physical camera button, HSPA+.
Depending on how nice Android 2.3 'Gingerbread' is, I might buy one just to play around with it, before I decide if I'm going to hold onto the myTouch 4G for a while. If T-Mo doesn't plan on updating the firmware, then that may weigh in on my decision. Otherwise, the myTouch 4G is kind of everything I was waiting for, with a little bit of stupid carrier bloat.
I read somewhere that T-Mo stated something along the lines of: '...we're not going to update the firmware unless there's a real reason to', in regards to the myTouch 4G. If that's the case, I may return it.
For now, I just want to enjoy this awesome phone. This is hard, of course, when 4-5 of the nicest phones you've ever seen leaked today. What a crazy day!
If the Nexus S was made by HTC I'd either be be crying my eyes out right now or be racing to the nearest t-mobile store with my MT4G all nicely packed up and ready to go (today is last day of my remorse period). I was a bit reluctant to buy the MT4G because I was really wanting a Nexus 2. Ended up liking the MT4G so much that I was quite content giving up on the Nexus 2, especially since we have perm-root. Now that I know the Nexus S is made by Samsung I couldn't be happier with my decision not to wait around.
Oh and according to the leaked BestBuy documents the Nexus S supports EDGE/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900MHz, HSUPA 5.76/7.2 900/1700/2100MHz, HSUPA 5.76/7.2 900/1700/2100. Anything missing?
If this has a non-RFS based filesystem and a working GPS, it could be a nice phone.
However, the new Samsung phone coming in February looks nicer with a larger, s-amoled 2 screen and HSDPA+ but it doesn't seem to have a FFC.
The first thing I noticed was the absence of a track ball/pad. That made cursor navigation VERY frustrating on the Vibrant. Plus, they kept that ity-bity volume rocker. I’ll bet that wee power button is positioned the same too. That made me want to pull my teeth out. I don’t see any REAL evidence of a notification LED, as the proxy/light sensors can be mistaken for just that. I shudder to think it has the same GPS and compass hardware as the Galaxy S line. The leaked spec sheet shows NO HSPA+. Same Vibrant all-plastic body too.
Without more evidence I will assume that the Nexus S is just a Vibrant with a bigger screen, FFC & LED flash. Pretty much what the Vibrant SHOULD have been on release.
Gingerbread? We’ll all have that in time. Especially on current rooted phones. Faster CPU? Doubtful. Who cares, if my above assumptions are even half correct.
Absolutely not what I would expect from something branded as a Nexus. SAMOLED is nice though. MT4G wins in my book.
http://www.tmonews.com/2010/11/nexus-s-specs-leaked/ Nexus S may not has HSPA+
I must say I'm definitely intrigued. I own the MT4G and I'm definitely happy with it but I am curious about the Nexus S mostly because Nexus One was considered such a good phone and I figure follow up to it has to be just as good if not better.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Let's not forget that G2 and MT4G is T-Mo's own branding and marketing so "T-Mobile phone = HSPA+ love"
Why are you guys liking the MT4G when it has dust under the screen? Should just go for the Nexus S

That would only hold true if both phones were made by the same manufacturer. Since the N1 was made by HTC and the Nexus S by Samsung all bets are off. For what it's worth this phone could be called anything. Just because it's called Nexus doesn't mean it'll follow up where the N1 left off.

Desire s... a disappointment... or is it

I think the new desire s is well exactly the same as the desire but with different design gingerbread and a new CPU which isn't even a dual-core. The processor is fast I know but with honeycomb for smartphone and the sgs 2 coming soon it will be unable to compete. I'm not sure about it... anyway least desire we will get some sense with gingerbread
EDIT: I've kind of changed my mind about this, I like the desire s it fixes everything wrong with the desire. It's not much of an update from the desire. It's not amazing, its not crap it just very very good.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
It's the phone that's leaked so far already, if the specs are as similar to the stock Desire as they say I won't be bothered
Thats big dissapointment... last year HTC was the best with top hardware, but today even LG is able to do more powerful phones. Goodbye HTC.
This is only the spec on 1 phone, if the HD2 surfaces as thought it could be awesome
DS looks basically like a 'woops, yes the original desire's internal memory was a bit shocking so here's a fix for it, thanks for your cash' sort of release...
Yes they can push out a phone with single core etc. for now because by the time people actually _need_ a dual core will probably be another year - but the only thing the DS looks good for is to make people happy who don't want a big phone (i.e. DHD), and don't already have a Desire
This phone is for new customers. Why you nerds need to upgrade like every month to new phone I will be happy with my Desire for several years... Been using it now over 6 months...

You might be happy with phone like that for quiet a long time, but not everybody is like that, and to be honest, htc not anouncing a dualcore phone is BIG disapointment, coz HTC was already one of the tech leaders, delivering the latest solutions, and I still cannot believe, that HTC is dropping this completely, and taking the mainstream Facebook way instead, they will surely make loads of money on those facebook phones, but missing the top class highend might actually do some damage on reputation...

Part of me wonders if this is an interesting approach - a sort of;
1) get more people on android with nice 'mid-range' CHEAPER android phones
2) wait to see what everyone else brings out
3) bring out something better
To be honest - I think it'll be another year before I upgrade... this year is going to be mayhem for phones and I can see everyone signing up for contracts left right and centre to get something awesome - then (as usual) something better comes along

NOOOOO. ICS should be left untouched
i doubt we will get sense 4 for senny.
as all sense 4 phones will prob have 1gm ram so htc will say "too old" so gotta get devs to port it.
is say we will get it since its there flagship phone and ino for a fact xda devs will port it i really like the ics launcher but i think its too plain so id like to see what sense can do with the sensation

Um it hasn't been there flagship phone for awhile now. More than likely HTC will have excuses as to why they can't release until wayafter you get a new phone lol. Hope waiting is fun.

qHD Super AMOLED sounds good
well in the UK its HTCs flagship device.
In US the Amaze 4G and now Rezound are better then Senny.
That does suck if it does happen, but thankfully we have awesome devs here. If Sense 3.0 was able to be ported to the Nexus One, I'm sure 4.0 can be easily ported to the Sensation
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Tapatalk
im just worried that ICS will need 1GB RAM to be at its full potential.
As Sense adds a lot of overhead on top of stock android.
They already said ICS is coming to sensation.
"HTC knows how excited our fans are to get their hands on Google's latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, so we're thrilled today to announce the first wave of HTC phones that will receive upgrades: We can confirm the brand new HTC Vivid, on sale beginning today, is upgradeable to Ice Cream Sandwich. In addition, Ice Cream Sandwich is coming in early 2012 to a variety of devices including the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XL and HTC Sensation XE, as well as the HTC Rezound, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G and HTC Amaze 4G through close integration with our carrier partners. We're continuing to assess our product portfolio, so stay tuned for more updates on device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Ice Cream Sandwich"

exactly. and the screen burn or whatever, doesnt display whites correctly. black is and vibrant colors are the only colors that look good. on SLCD "everything" looks good.. yeah the SAMOLED+ with qHD would be interesting, but they are using 2 gens behind xD AMOLED was on the behold 2 and crap like that lol. hopefully they change that.
Couldn't agree more. Amoled displays are so over rated and way over saturated too!

[POLL] What Is Your Favourite Phone Brand? Vote!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PHONE BRAND?
And if you want tell why , post a comment
My:
HTC , cause I like 99% of their phones. I'm not a fanboy , i like the sense & android phones and too much the HTC's appearance.
I also like to have 180gr phone , with good quality costruction , LED notifications , and all. I will never buy one another phone brand since i have used HTC's phone , the prices are always high but the quality not changes. Also i think Samsung it's more popular as phone cause they make TV's MP3 and another things. I hate iPhone , their stupid publicity's on the television that shows one stupid feature to grab more iPhone fanboys to spend their cash. For the end i like HTC because:
1. For me are the best since i have tryed 4-5 phones.
2.Semi-alluminium cases and build quality
3.Their UI's on winmo , and also android are the more beatiful , and easy to use.
4. They make only phone's and not washing machines like samsung.
5. They are always the first: Android phone was the htc first to use it , 4G (?) 3D (?)
ZTE* SORRY

Sammy because they actually optimized their software.
It used to be HTC till they let themselves be held back by the crappy Qualcomm CPU's when everybody just outperforms them easily, also their screens are behind the Super AMOLED and IPS tech now being used thus more washed out than the rest, and lack of software optimization
Sammy gets my vote since they combine best cameras, best screens, best horsepower, and actually optimzes their software to work well too. Wish their build quality was better though

HTC,
Sense is a very attractive peace of software they've came up with. First android phone was made by HTC and had Sense. Became so used to it, I now won't buy a phone that isn't made by them...
The Nexus one is my only exception to a phone without HTC Sense, but funny that it is made by them.

After a Magician, the brilliant Universal, the ok Trinity P3600, and the hobbled HTC Tytn II (which only matched previous phone video capabilities after the hardwork of Chainfire and others), that was it for me and HTC.
The Tytn II was powerful and well built (I dropped it off my GSXR 1000 when using it for sat nav and it only got a scratched....ok it was only 40 MPH), but limited drivers...How can you ship a phone that has slower video than an older model as stock?
Anyway, I believe Samsung (with the Galaxy S) was the first Android phone manufacturer that put the fight to Apple and the iPhone, with superior hardware and a slick UI running Android. I believe it also helped create more publicity for Android and turned potential iPhone purchasers away.
The iPhone was a collection of amazing cutting edge hardware (especially in GPU accelerated 3D graphics) and it had a brilliant user interface operating system that made good use of all of it.
I don't like Apple and the way they restrict what can be put on their device, but it's hard to ignore that without the iPhone, we wouldn't have Android as brilliant and superior as it is in it's flexibility, ease of use and multitasking.
We would have another Blackberry style device...urgh
Motorola hands down.

sammy b/c we get most for our money
HTC will always be my favourite phone brand, not only because they are one of the biggest sponsors of the tour de france their phones have the nicest UI's and features in my opinion and now with the buy out of beats audio their phones will now rock the house
HTC
I like how their phones look... They all look alike so that's the good part! and they feel durable unlike the plastic like Samsung which feels like its either going to brake easily or its going to float away.
Sense it good and hopefully it gets better cuz HTC is like that
Used to be HTC when their designs are actually cool and unique, now its Samsung, since I realise every single manufacturers are going iPhone-clone looks anyway, might as well woot for the one with the constantly evolving specs.
HTC
Why?...
1-Good Battery
2-Easy to root and unlock.

voted, samsung galaxy
I voted HTC for current smart phone brand since that is what I'm using now and have been very happy with it.
love the design, build quality, and the beautiful UI.
I really want to like Samsung but they really need to do something about all the plastic.
plus they need to get away from the Iclone look. Galaxy Nexus is a good start though. hopefully they embrace that design and move on from the current look of the Galaxy S line.
but having said all this, my legacy brand is Motorola. hey, grew up in the era of MicroTac, what can I tell you...

What happen when your wife who have an Iphone meet your new Android phone?

Last December my wife asked an Iphone 4S as gift, knowing already the device and the way Apple working I tell her not to go for an Iphone cause it's expensive for the specs and only work in one way, the way Apple want it to work.
The answer was "My friends have an Iphone, it's pretty and they can install many things really amazing!!!" with the same eyes than puss in boots. How can I resist, even if I start being bellyache just by thinking that it's me who'll be in charge to take care of the phone for the setting and all stuff that can be made on the phone.
This month I finally can decide which Android phone i want to buy, a HTC Sensation XE. At the beginning my wife start being jealous with my phone, cause I spent severals hours to flashing and personalize my phone, she didn't want to use my phone, on and on.
Then last week we went to a coffee shop and her Iphone was out of battery. As she like watching Korean drama all the time she couldn't resist asking for my phone. After 5 minutes spent to navigate on the menu and loading heavy website with flash videos and other features she looked at me with the same eyes as before and said "I want an Android phone!", saying "Iphone is too strict, can't do what I want and personalize the phone that much. Since then I no longer can enjoy my phone at a coffee shop. Wtf!!!
So, now if I want to enjoy my phone while she is watching her drama at coffee shop, my only solution is to buy another Android phone...
Just sell her iPhone and get her an Android phone The more android users the better

mind you for a second hand 4s in mint condition you can do a straight swap for a galaxy note or SGS2. win win situation
you just need to find and apple fanboy which doesn't like his new android phone.
iPhone 4s upgrade
I say wait till the announcement for the iPhone 5 so you can sell it to Gazelle or related site for the most money (or now i suppose depending on how bad you want to wait lol) and buy yourself the latest and greatest...
...now obviously the Galaxy Nexus, otherwise whatever is out this summer :-D
Man, I know exactly how you feel. You know your wife better than she knows herself, you pretty much called it right on the dot that she wasn't going to like her Iphone. Same thing with my girl, I swear she never listens to me and then later on she'll do the exact same I told her she was going to do.
It must be a female gene.

Right I think this is it! As for the childrent, have to let them experience it for finally realize ^^.
Does a Nexus hit the 7620 at Antutu benchmark? Fot what I saw it doesn't, for my point of view Samsung is only focus on marketing, as same as Iphone. People follow the vibe of what they see the most. Htc never desapointed me, and I had a lot of Samsung on the hands but nothing to be impress by.
