Post Your Bootscreen Animation Here - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Themes and Apps

Guys Post Your Bootscreens over here. Please do Contribute

did a full search on bootscreen, animation and bootanimation.
Cant even find the location of bootanimation.zip.

put bootanimation.zip in system/media if your current rom supports it, works fine for me

Without even replacing the original ? Would that work ? Will try.
If it work, I'm lost. Where is the original then (Running sheep ROM 1.2)

Yes, it works, and you can get original with reflashing stock firmware or removing zip and clearing up cache. switching qmp files also works for some roms.
And well astronaut bootanimation is worth the trouble ;-)
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk

does anyone have sample boot animation for the note for download? what is the resolution for the image files? what is the naming convention? is there a minimum or maximum number of images? is there any RGB mode or anything that needs to be adhered too?

I put the file bootanimation.zip in /system/media but no joy,
Will now try unpacking the files and overwriting the old ones.
I guess sheep rom does not support putting a zipfile in that location.
---------- Post added at 01:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:44 AM ----------
That worked, had to manually replace to contents from astronaut boot animation.zip
(2 files .qmg) in /system/media

Its the kernel that needs to support custom boot animations, not the rom.

The stock Galaxy Note's ROM/kernel does not support custom bootanimationn, does it?
I there any alternative custom ROMs to get this working?

I have Rocket ROM v20 and AbyssNoteKernel 3.4 and the new bootanimations are working perfectly.
You should have root to change the bootanimation

Nextly I make a pack with differents bootanimations only for SGN

Nice, idea if i find the other bootanimations on my computer i'll make a pack too

[Q] Trying to change Boot Animation on Samsung Transform Ultra...I'm stumped.

I'm trying to change the boot animation on my rooted Samsung Transform Ultra on Boost Mobile. I found the bootanimation.zip file in /system/media/ but replacing this file with another one doesn't work! It'll just give me a black screen when it does the Boost Mobile animation and the Samsung animation after that. The startup sound seems to be hidden too, as it's not in /data/local or /system/etc or any other location I've seen. What can I do to change the bootanimation and the startup sound? I'm using ES File Explorer with Superuser permissions and I use the ConnectBot terminal emulator.
Thank you for your time, I await a response.
I am not too sure about this but sometimes the boot animation is built into the framework try using the out kitchen and maybe flashing it as a mod??
here a link:
http://uot.dakra.lt/
I should also mention this phone runs stock Android with just Sprint's SprintID system added and a ThinkOffice bloatware app added. Other than that, it's pretty much stock Android.

Upon a lot of further research, it looks like Samsung locks the kernel down like a military base, because everything involving bootup animations is buried and split into multiple files and the essential files are buried in the framework.
Changing the bootup animation would require a flash of a new kernel and new ROM.
Thank you for your help!
ok boot animation is in the rom and kernal thats it you cant change it without one or the other thats it unless you are really good with sdk just be content or root and flash rom or kernal to the last post any rom and kernal has a aftermarket

if you are looking for a new rom i would suggest cyanogenmod 7 just installed it and it runs really nice and i know the out kitchen does support cyanogenmod so you would be able to select a boot animation from their inventory
ps glad i could help

Hello, good day, if you flashed CM7 to the Transform Ultra please upload the zip. Also Expect donations if you like money that is.
In response to the thread, you need root access, after that it's as simple as searching in the market.

I'm guesing you created this using CROMI 3.4.1 since you just posted it but wanted to verify. Also I would recomend adding the CROMI info in the OP like you did for ur theme.

Yes tested on CROMI, but should work on all roms of the same base that is why I did not say for CROMI specifically, read notes at bottom of post.

will this affect your colormod?
did you see anything to suggest you could mod the lockscreen to stay in landscape? drives me crazy

No it won't affect color mod as all it does is change the lockring image.
Never noticed that the lockscreen still rotates even with auto-rotation off, I'll have a look and see what I can do
yep... awsum!

Hey guys,
I made a short video for this mod, to visualize how to flash this (even if it's pretty easy) and how it looks like.
I hope it is helpful for some of you!
Cheers
All we need now is a source for lock rings images. I did a quick google images search for "lockring png" but only came up with other threads that had mods. Not the actual png files. Could we unzip and extract those png images from those mods? Does anyone have a link for just getting appropriate sized png images?
---------- Post added at 03:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:23 PM ----------
I found a few rings and I've replaced as described above. When I rezipped using 7zip, the resultant file is called ECLM.7z. Am I on the right track? Can I flash this file?
So I reattempted this using some 128x128 png icons from iconarchive. I renamed them as directed and replaced the pngs in both of the folders. I rezipped to .zip and attempted flash. Flash failed. I will double check my file names. Is 128x128 too big?
Thank you for this . IT worked the first time I used it.

I use the dock which has a screenshot key. Not sure if you can do this without dock, I think I remember seeing a checkbox in settings to get screenshot by pressing vol- & power but only see one for recent apps button now.
Here is a link to post for xoom lockring mod by wesamothman
Download links at bottom of 1st post are lockring icon sets, there are many lockrings to choose from just unzip and pick.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923594
Rezipped file needs to be .zip again, it can have any name (lockring-mod.zip, my-ring.zip) but extension needs to be .zip
+1
power + volume down= screenshot
there is a knack to it but right timing works well ... i don't have dock and is only way to take screenshot of lock screen or notification bar.

There is a thread on XDA on how to convert bootanimation.zip to a .gmq file. I think there were people on there also taking requests to convert boot animations. I thought I subscribed to it but I didn't. If I come across it I'll post it here.

Place your preferred boot animation in /data/local.
Download both these files. Flash 421_Enable
CWM_CustomBootanimation_421_Enable.zip
CWM_CustomBootanimation_421_Disable.zip
You need the disable zip in case of a boot loop or issue.

Yes, I'm sure (if it's in a bootanimation.zip format). Worst case, you would need to unzip it and edit the desc.txt to resize the images appropriately for your device.

The only inconvenient is the fact that the animation is narrower(resolution is smaller) than the screen, and the colored circles start appearing not from the bezel of the phone but from 1 cm in.

Tested on Galaxy S4 (I9505), it works and currently this is the only bootanimation binary got it working on newer 4.3 base.
Only hiccup though if I use boot animation prepared for S4 it runs in a smaller window, basically thinking it is running in a tablet mode.
Since it is a binary we may not be able to mod the file, let me know any ideas.
Even with the current state I'm glad able to get bootanimation.zip files working for 4.3 S4 now.
