I was using my friends galaxy tab 7.0 plus and he was saying how the exynos 1.2 ghz dual core is better than the nvidia tegra 2 dual core. Is this true?

1GHz < 1.2 GHz
So yeah it is better. It has .2GHz over the tegra2 by default. I also noticed that my wife's SGS2 is a lot smoother and faster than my Atrix OC'd to 1.2
As for quality or efficiency I have no idea.

We also root our devices and stuff too so he may have the processor but I've got the development hehe

The samsung has a better GPU on it aswell. So yes, he is right.
the exynos 1.2 ghz dual core is not better jsut because it is .2ghz faster look at the new Galaxy Nexus which is 1.2ghz OMAP that is fastter then the SGS2 1.5ghz. its fastter because of the type of CPU it is.

I wouldn't say the xoom or the atrix has lots of development. Never checked out the tab but the gs2 has the most development as far as sheer amount of projects/devs

Apparently samsung was excited as we were about the next galaxy so much they released the proccessor that's going to be in it ahead of may 3rd unpacked event. A samsung exynos 4 quad core clocked at 1.4ghz to read the full article go to engadget's website.

Alrighty yet another possibility and this time looks promising. The ZTE Grand X has been released with ICS today and is basically a G2X in a new skin.
Processor: NVIDIA Tegra 2, Dual-core (AP20 Dual Core 1GHz)
http://www.androidcentral.com/zte-announces-grand-x
So here's hoping the devs can work some magic with that and get the G2X/O2X a ROM it rightfully deserves.
Been discussed in the 2x side by tonyp...for about a month maybe

It has already been debated that we cannot get drivers from this in the 2x forums........

By mistake I flash folder/modem on this phone and now I dont have network and IMEI number is there any possibility to bring that back?
ZTE Grand X IN ROMs
I looked at the ZTE kernel and IT IS NOT compatible with the G2X or the O2X and it doesn't have the same modem, so it won't be useful.
Hey man which is better 800 mhz with 256 mb ram or 600 mhz with 512 mb ram for gaming.
Sent from my GT-S7500 using xda premium
Depends on the game. But try over clocking it with max ram, cause some games like shadow gun need a lot of ram and high CPU
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda app-developers app
But which one will be more good. I mean what is the work of cpu and ram in gaming and which one is more important and also tell me that gpu really matters for gaming or its just ram and cpu.

Both are very important you need a good CPU gpu and a good amount of ram. Depends on the game you what to play
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I would pick more ram, because you might be able to overclock your cpu.

If you are choosing between two phones with these specs, go for RAM.
Since Phone A has 800mhz and 256 ram
And Phone B has 600mhz and 512 ram
Phone B has 200% ram and 75% clock speed compared to phone A, whereas Phone A compared to B is 133% clock speed and 50% ram
Getting a little mathematical

well most phones that are given free today dont have those low specs so im guessing you can have a much better deal. unless youre buying with no contract.
I am asking this because i am confused between xperia u and galaxy ace2. Here are the specs.
Ga2. Cpu=800mhz
Ram= 768mb
Gpu= mali400 mp
Xperia u cpu=1ghz
Ram= 512mb
Gpu= mali400mp
Both are dual core but the screen size of ga2 is bigger.

@OP, your specs listed aren't the same specs as Xperia U and Ace 2, why make it more complicated?
Actually, you could have flat out asked "is Xperia u or Galaxy Ace 2 better for gaming?" Lol.

You said 600mhz and 512 RAM, 800mhz and 256 RAM but the phones are actually 1000mhz (1ghz) and 512 RAM, 800mhz and 768 RAM.
The specs are not correct

As of now, no there is no kernel with OC functionality.
Yeah, just as I thought. Thanks. I mean, it's not that OC is needed for this phone to work fast, but I'm kinda bored so I would like to play a little with CPU & GPU OC.

Apparently qualcomm has hard-locked the snapdragon 400 SoC so that it won't go above 1.2ghz anyway. You could "overclock" it to 2Ghz and see such a speed reported in CPU-Z etc, but in reality it's still only running at 1.2Ghz max.
