i have stock 2.3 rom. i want to root.
im doinng like this:
http://www.lg-phones.org/how-to-root-lg-optimus-3d.html
but phone still doesnt root. superoneclick is waiting for device and nothing.
Are all of your drivers installled for phone?
hey, if you're using the app on that site this WILL NOT work, cause the link there is for old SuperOneClik 1.9.5
To root Optimus 3D with Gingerbread you need to use the newer version of SuperOneClik - v. 2.2
****,i forgot to set on debuging mode.
now its ok delete my topic
Make sure that drivers are properly setup (sorry for repeating, but it is must !) . And check that your phone is detected (may be use Lg mobile update).
Otherwise, with the latest version of superoneclick, it works!

Hey guys,
I just used a flashtool to upgrade to android 2.1 today since the official upgrade isn't available yet. Everything is working well, except i'm not able to use 3g. Is there anyone out there who might be able to help me remedy this problem, or at least tell me what I probably did wrong? I'd really appreciate it.
The official upgrade is out there. Plug your phone into your computer and update from the se software
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
I have the X10a. and whenever I plug it in to use the PC companion for upgrade it said my phone was up to date even with android 1.6. Was I missing something?
Alright i figured it out. I just needed to add the att apn infornation to the phone. Aftet that it worked like a charm
Helllp!
I have been trying to root my x10a. I managed to get to the point where superuser is on the phone but it does nothing. I tried to update the superuser as the message went something about 'bin v su' and update but the update failed. I tried to use superone click and got it to state that root files are in the phone now, but I tried to use titanium backup and it says must be rooted. I spent the last few days forum hopping to find a solution, downloaded SDK setup and all platforms and tried to manually put in code from the cmd.exe and it gives me something about adb is not recognized as a command. I googled the error and tried some of the recommended fixes at sxeveral sites, but I have had no luck with instituting superuser to full function. I am sure I am doing something wrong but I know I'm close. HEY YOU GUYS! (electric company on PBS)

The official upgrade is not out there in all markets. SE is setting a record for the time frame required to diseminate an upgrade globally. Comical.
You have to input the APN Settings for your carrier manually.
I do not understand and I intend upon putting 2.1 in it after its rooted, but it tells me that I need to flash into recovery for SU, but I can't back up the phone without proper root...or can I? Please more info. I generally do not ask for help, but I am in up to my nostrils with this and I want to succeed. I have tried superone click, I downloaded androot, but i CAN'T EVEN GET THAT TO RUN. Several others and manual. So do I flash from here? with no back up? and if so, how to flash to recovery, please. thanks.

If you are on 1.6, then SuperOneClick will not work. You need to be up to 2.1 for SuperOneClick to work. I do not know Androot though.
Thanks I will search how to input the APN and check in from here.
OK, I am trying to root my X10 and this is the first time that I have tried to do something like this. I am on step 2 of a guide which is to enable USB debugging and run 2_root_system, but every time I try to do it, it says "Error: Device not found" please help as I did the flash downgrade to start the process and my phone is really basic right now.
Thats very similar to the issue I'm having. Its related to the USB driver. However, I can't seem to find the USB driver to talk to the phone so that the root can be sideloaded to the phone.
im from india, i hav an unlocked at&t grey market piece. It shows on my PC companion dat d latest software is installed on d fone. how do i g8 it from 1.6 to 2.1 o betta?
Update from Kies to 2.2.1 will not allow Z4 root to work. I've tried to root via Superone click and Z4 root and neither seem to work. Anyone else run into this issue or find a way to root the phone? I had the phone rooted and unrooted before the update via US Cellular's website.
Same problem here as well!

Same thing here. I have tried rooting my phone after the kies froyo update using all the methods you described that worked flawlessly on eclair 2.1 and now they don't work! I can't even get voodoo lagfix to load with 3-button combo like I had done so many times before. Could Samsung have loaded on a boot locker now like motorola phones??

I used "super one click" and it rooted fine (rageagainstthecage mode). Might want to try that out. This was on the official 2.2 release. You will have to reboot the phone after the program does its thing.

This is what worked for me. z4root doesn't work on rooting EC10.
Download the Samsung USB drivers here if you haven't already.
http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.c..._USB_Driver_V1.3.550.0_SCH-i500_Fascinate.msi
Connect your phone to your computer, let it do it's thing. If it asks about the drivers not being verified just click "Continue anyway."
Then grab SuperOneClick from here, unzip it, open SuperOneClick and click Root. Let it do it's thing for a bit, say yes when it asks to test Su then reboot your phone and you're good to go.

One of the things that I found that helped was changing the USB properties on the Mez. I set it to Ask, tried connecting to One-Click, disconnected, then changes the setting to Samsung Keis and reconnected. After that, it was able to root.
Mine rooted with no errors after USCC upgrades on wiped phone. I installed from /download directory on SD.
i was able to root my freshly installed official 2.2 from USCC website by using superoneclick, i used the psneuter root, changed usb settings to ask upon connection, hooked up my phone, clicked root on superoneclick and it rooted with no problem.
I tried to root it and it didnt work... i tried using z4root, universal androot, and superoneclick, nothing worked...
Help me, how do i root it? Im runing out of memory on phone, and i need to root it, so i could send app's to my SD card... or if someone know-s how to move my app's to SD card, without rooting...???
I have Sony Ericsson x10 mini pro (2.1 update 1)
First of all, what firmware version are you running? No good to us saying Android 2.1, cos theres loads of versions.
The last time I rooted, I used SUperOneClick with RAgeAgainstTheCage (which might flag up as a virus - tell your antivirus to go away). Shouldnt take more than about five minutes as far as I can remember.
hi had same prob with mine but did get it to root using superoneclick when you used superoneclick d id you connect your phone to pc and press charge instead of connect

i just realized you have gingerbread. now that brings you down to two options:
1. try using gingerbreak again (i believe this is the only rooting method for gingerbread but i may be wrong. if that doesnt work then try...
2. downgrading back to froyo:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038338
heres a list of the stock firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944881
(keep in mind that step 2 can result in your phone bricking if you do not follow the instructions carefully or an unexplainable accident occurs)

I rooted mine downloading SuperOneClick Root, the latest version.
Use the rooting software (you don't need to install it, just unzip) on a PC that already has all the drivers needed to see your Optimus One.
As a rule of thumb, if you've used at least once the LG PC Suite, you can use SuperOneClick root.
Some antiviruses tend to delete SuperOneClick Root, so disconnect from Internet, shut your antivirus down (it's unsafe surfing the net without an antivirus) and let SuperOneClick do its magic.
