[Q] Accidentally installed Thor revolver port on my transformer! - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

It's obvious I'm very new to this lol.
I would keep it if it didn't have that slight lag. That bothers me pretty much so is there a way for me to return back to asus "skin" instead of acer?
I rooted my device using razorclaw and that worked like a charm. It took me a while to figure out how to install clockworkmod and once I figured it out, it worked perfectly.
But I accidentally installed the Thor Transformer Revolver port instead of just Revolver for transformer.
Do I just find revolver for transformer and install that?
I'm sorry if I'm doing something wrong when it comes to forum policies or anything.

And it works haha nice !!!!
Dude in this forum just go into the android development part and download the real revolver should solve the lag you are talking about and it is a great rom for new people
I recommend also using the prime 2.0.6 kernel which you can download through revolver parts and flash after you have installed
Sent from my tf101 using xda premium 1.54Ghz

I'll need to remember to go to the developmental parts lol. I had no idea where to download revolver. 0.0 But I found a youtube video with an old version and I just used those links to find the latest version. =]
I'll definitely try that prime 2.0.6 ;] Thanks for the reply!

Perfect if only my TF was delivered today instead of on monday but will use this after trying custom kernels thanks!
When it gets here I'm thinking just to flash sc's repackaged 3.1 vs prime and pretty much run stock.. well maybe oc a little bit.
But it seems stock repackaged hc3.1 is providing the best user experience.

Super's stock 3.1 repack is the best I you could say ROM. Stock with Superuser!!! But I dont see why you cant flash any of the other OC kernels on top of the Stock repack, its rooted same as any other rooted ROM. Actually before I read this I was thinking of flashing Blades on 3.1 repack]
EDIT: says file is unavailable
Awesome thanks man! Is there any way you can provide an MD5 for this as well? I grabbed it from MegaUpload, but want to make sure it's 100% valid.
Thx again!

Thanks for this. Now I dont have any issues checking out the OC kernel.
This just saved my bacon, I flashed Netarchy via Kernel Manager and ended up in a boot loop.
Thanks so much for posting this
If u want to use Ps3 controller or any other gaming controller u need this stock Kernel, it wont work with overclock kernel
Anyway to get Primes! 1.5 kernel in a flashable too?

Rooting to 3.1 Your-New Transformer

Not sure if this should go here or General, Mod feel free to move if you think it should be moved ---
To all, This is what I found when rooting my Xformer--
1st ...I am not a rookie but I wanted the rooting to go without a hitch. So I read most of what was out there and choose what I thought would be best for me as far as the method for rooting.
So, I picked Apache's posting of how to root since I had a 4-24-11 build 3.0.1 I did not have to revert back, just needed to root the device and update
This is the posting:
Where to get the root packages---
http://androidroot.mobi/asus-eee-pad-transformer-tf101-root-cwm-recovery/
2nd I would recommend watching the video by Ayman019
Ayman019--- Root video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaZ4B60OWmY
This is a great play by play
Finally, I love Supercurio's work it is very bugfree so I downloaded his updated rom 3.1 updated...... etc here:
Supercurio's rooted rom---
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1112527
And his repacker if you want to have the tool that did the above ---
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1112527
I Pushed all the files through SDK/ADB. All went great until I tried to push superuser. At first, it would not recognize, so another xda member mentioned that sometime the remount is not seen, so I tried remounting 1st time, nothing ... the second time it worked
Awesome I am Rooted but ....... nothing could see the superuser, it would not allow anything access to superuser, so I downloaded Busybox and loaded it as well, still nothing.
Then I thought since I have superuser I should have recovery too. So, I proceeded to load Supercurio's rom on the sd card and then, manually went into recovery.....
Flashed the rom in recovery, rebooted....Voila' rooted, 3.1 and Good to go......
The point of this thread is remind people, that not all units react exactly the same, usually in adb everything works pretty much the same, but as you can see, not always.
So, moral of the story, the tools are here in XDA and the devs and other members have written great how to's and provide great advice, I thank All of them for sharing their knowledge.
BTW the Transformer is an AWESOME device and rooted you can really make it operate amazingly ..........

Is there anywhere else to get these? It looks like his account is over the quota-
"This file is temporarily unavailable because there are no resources

The other good thing is you end up with a stock 3.1 Rom rooted rather than flashing a custom rim from the start

Yes this is the an advantage and unless you are looking to over clock I think the unit works very well with the standard rom.
Also Calforniarailroader here is another site to get the downloads:

How about battery life? I know the tweaking done on my EVO made a huge improvement in battery life. Most of this comes with a custom kernal/rom though, but being rooted is obviously a necessity.

can i root with 3.1 already? seems like in this thread ver 3.0.1 was used for rooting.

You would have to use the version that reverts to go back to 3.01 then go from there.
where do you find any info about rolling back i looked in every thread and NOTHING

Overclocking, removing system apps, running slightly modded roms of Honeycomb 3.1, etc... There's no risk since the TF is unbrickable since we have nvflash.
Is there anything I can do if I flashed the wrong blob? I got root ok but CWM did not work. I tried to flash blobV5 but now adb cant write anything to /data. Since I have root could I simply use root explorer and terminal to run these commands?
I'm kind of stuck... I got as for as to issue the ./data/local/gingerbreakBB command...
I didn't receive any permission errors or anything but it's been siting there like it's waiting to finish (looks like it's thinking), one line so far that reads [*] vold: 0000 GOT start: 0x00017368 GOT end: 0x000175e8
But it's literally been sitting there for over 2 hours...
Android Ver 3.0.1
Any ideas? Anyone?
UPDATE: Nevermind... apparently even if your runnin 3.0.1 if it's not the right build you have to downgrade... got it... rooted!
hi all
I have rooted my TF to prime 1.5V. I enjoy it, but I have some problem in android market, I cannot download and install any software directly from android market, does anyone have such problem with android market after rooting and updating?(I use Nflash method, change SKU US to WW!)
do u have any suggestion?

At the end, does the unite still get OTA updates? I think there is no CWM involved in this picture, so I am assuming the tab will receive the 3.2 update automatically?

There will always be a reason to root your device, since there will always be something you need to do that the manufacturer doesn't want or think you need.
Ok guys I just got my used never before rooted transformer and I need to know if my current version is able to be rooted! I've searched but with no results to answer all my questions. I'm no noob to rooting or xda so I kind of just need pointed in the right direction. Can some one look at my screen shot and tell me if I can use this thread to root with my current firmware version or what other thread I need to start off with. All help is greatly appreciated!

New TF101 Rooted Now to Overclock

Hey Everyone,
I just got my Transformer yesterday at BBY and have installed Razorclaw and changed a few things. I want to Overclock my tablet to 1400 or so if I can but I am new to all of this. I really do not want to screw my tablet up so I was hoping someone could throw up some links of what Kernel I should install and the link of how to do it.
I appreciate any help that anyone can provide. I looked up some videos online but I trust the fellow members here more.
Thanks for everything and taking the time to help a Tablet NOOB!!

I also bought mine yesturday at bestbuy too. OK so I see you are rooted, did you install clockworkmod? If you didn't go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346180
and install it. Then you can flash a custom from the dev section. I flashed the revolver ROM. There is an app that goes with it called revolver parts. In that app you can download/flash custom kernals so you can overclock. Hope this helps. I'm also new to the tablet, just go through the forums and gain some knowledge on this stuff that's what I did.

overclocking
really i do not want load a rom i just want to be able to overclock. I already loaded setcpu just need the next steps.
if you want to overclock you will need a custom kernel that allows overclocking
All set running Revolver with Prime Kernel. Overclocked to 1504. Questions though using setcpu I place it to 1600 but it never goes to 1600 when I am using it. Is there something I am doing wrong or is there a better app to control procc speed?

Use ViperMod (Option 1) to root.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427125
There's also this here that's pretty new but it seems easy enough.

After you have root, use RecoveryInstaller to flash CWM recovery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346180
As for your tablet, yes your C10 would fall in the SBK v2 caategory like some B70 and B80 ect. You look like you have the most up to date Honeycomb firmware but as you know there is now ICS available.
Good reading if you have a little times

Sorry to revive an old thread from the dead... if anyone other than me is even looking at the forum for this phone any more. In regard to rooting it, it's not difficult. It has an unlocked bootloader, so you just have to put the phone in Download mode, use Odin to install CWM recovery, then flash a ROM that comes with root access. There are plenty of them in this forum available for download, and CWM recovery is available as well. Lightly tweaked stock ROMs with root are available, which is pretty much the exact same thing you would be going for by rooting your own stock ROM.
