"leaked from samsung" and "100% working" don't mean the same thing. you're not trying to say that he lied and it actually came from an iphone instead, are you?
i am asking that if we install this do we get 4.0 with face detection ?
i know that all the apps wont work

ahh, I see what you ean, but it also depends on how many people are close to the source and how easily the person who leaked it would be discovered.
slightly off topic but similar is the manga situation, where people close to the source can't just take a whole mag home, so they take pictures and leak them instead. I don't know where the source came from (in both cases), but for those satisfied to have something to play with in preparation for a full release, it's all good

Sending the creator a PM will not help since he hasnt showed up as of march (he actually was no where to be found from feb to march then he showed up in march for a day then dissapeared again), (someone correct me if im wrong) but creating a new thread wont help either. just search for dcs 1.17 and you'll find the thread.
nevertheless dont get your hopes high as the dcs' roms have not been updated for quite a while, and as a former dcs user i would have loved for this roms to be continued but it probably wont happen. I also might suggest giving up waiting for it. JPHCCFC hope this help clarified all your questions.

it means that once apple opened their applications to the public many developers wanted to discover what they have been missing.
*However, most users here at xda find everything they need before transferring their knowledge for ****ty ass corporations attempting to label "their" concept innovative.
I'm looking for the quickest loading/booting rom.
I'm really liking Android, so all I really need is a VERY VERY bare bones WinMo OS that can boot very quickly, and allow me to run haret.exe and boot into Android.
I am using (as crippled as it currently is) Android as my main OS, and am loving it on my Kaiser.
Any suggestions?
Can one of the cooks, put together a minimal fast booting WinMo OS for me (and I'm sure others)?
Try any lite or naked ROM's, they are usually faster than a full ROM.

I created this a while ago it should have about 152 MB free. http://www.mediafire.com/?tymo0orytxk Still beta haven't released public release yet, probably on the weekend, so there is a couple of bugs but you want it mainly for android right?
Out of curiosity, which build of Android are you using that is stable enough to be the primary? I've tried a few, but they all crashed constantly.

I mess with it, but I don't feel like I can use it as a primary OS, yet.

Android confusion
I wish I understood the rush to load android on everything in the world...I have a G1 and am *not* impressed with the current state of the OS. Yes, it is unlocked, rooted and jesus-freke'd. Maybe in a year or two when some stable, usable, and mature apps come out it'll be different, but right now it's got only two things really going for it: it's pretty and has a great browser.

I tried the UltraClean, but it didn't allow me to start Android reliably (1 out of 3 attempts successful). ROMeOS 4.6.0 is just as quick for startup (if you skip ROM customization) and works 100%.

My source is me. My friend got his from Best Buy this morning, he asked me to root it for him. Then I discovered v1.47.651.1 on it.
My EVO is currently smashed, I am awaiting a replacement. I pray my replacement doesn't come with that version on it but I'm probably SOL on that.
There are still NEW Evos that are coming with stock ROM. I bought another Evo last Thursday from the Sprint website and got it yesterday. It has the 1.32.651.1 firmware and 003 Novatec panel.

I have no doubt that is true. But it's simple logic to figure that eventually those older versioned phones will run out and get replaced by the new v1.47.651.1.
I thought about offering $ as well. Which I may be willing to contribute. But I have the fear that it will cause the free flow of ideas between the devs to stop if they think another dev will crack it first.
They deserve the $, no doubt. But I'm hoping they would be willing to work together and split it up. If that's the case, lets see how high the pool can get.

Can you not just downgrade to a previous version then root? (like what you had to do at the beginning if you already got a phone with the first OTA?)
And since you didnt specify that it needed to be full root or NAND unlock.. you could just use this:
http://unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.php/public/evo_ota_2_patch#evo_4g_1476511-1326516_ota_fix
or this

I don't understand why you keep emphasizing spelling. Did I spell something wrong? Also, the 2.2 update is not here for AT&T Captivates. I guess this isn't really relevant to you as you're on Rogers.
So this is going to be I897UCKB1, according to the info sections near the bottom? I don't think I've seen a firmware beginning with K before. Iiiiinteresting. Let's see what XDA does with this if it truly is what we've been waiting for.
