[Q] Transfer paid apps to another account? - Android Apps and Games

I dont know if this is the right place to post this question but here goes
I have a lot of paid apps that I never ever use like beautiful Widgets and launchers and stuff, is there a WY to transfer them to another Google account say my gf so she can have them?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium

Possible, but she will not receive any updates. From the time you transfer them, i would imagine that they would be deemed as warez?
Regards

I was hoping to have them linked to her account so she could get updates and it removed from mine, they should have a gift system put on
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium

Not possible as far as I'm aware. But i agree, the gift system is a good idea.

Won't work on accounts, but copy your titanium backup files to the other phone.

Good idea, but just to remind you, updates will be impossible. But the App shouldn't change a drastic amount anyway.
Then again you could use your backup periodically to update her apps?
Regards

Actually, it depends how trusting and honest your relationship is... You can add your account to her phone, since the market allows for account selection now. This would (of course) give her access to your contacts, gmail, etc. But that is the only way I know to do this.

Is there an app that keeps apps from running? I have motoblur and its like aids. Its a PITA. I dont use social networking, wifi calling, basicly anything blur related i want to NOT RUN. Can anyone help me? Cause theyre killin my battery....

Try freezing it with titanium backup?
/Feras - Galaxy Tab
Id have to buy it and technically its my parents bill :/ so no buying anything.
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
are you rooted?
"bloat freezer" does exactly what you're looking for. It's 1.50 as opposed to titanium backups 6 dollars.
http://www.appbrain.com/app/bloat-freezer-root/com.bloatfreezer
Also, being on your parents bill shouldn't affect purchased apps, you can buy those with your own credit/debit card (assuming you have one). Unless you're on AT&T, there is no bill to carrier to function, so it charges a credit card.
EDIT: sorry didn't see you said no buying anything. I can't think of any way to do it then. Even rooting and getting a blurless ROM would work, but rooting costs money as you need several apps to do it successfully.
I am rooted. I have been since day one. and im 17 so no credit card. Bloat freezer does look like a great idea, i guess ill just give them the money or something. Theres no free way?

[Solution] Delete market account?

Okay so I have two Google accounts and I'd like to consolidate my apps and such to my one main account. I've googled the interwebs for this and have not found a solution. Is there a way to delete one account and be able to retain my apps or do I loose everything when I delete the account associated with my phone? Thanks in advance for your help.
Update 1: I did more digging around on the interwebs and found a solution at this link: http://www.sleetherz.com/2011/05/how-to-change-gmail-account-on-android-market-without-factory-reset/
Update 2: It seems that this is merely a temporary fix. This method only removes the account from your phone with having to do a factory reset. So if you're looking to sell your phone or just want to remove the account in general from the phone, this will be the best method. Removing the entire account from google servers is something that hopefully google will figure out.
So easy and fast. Hopefully this will help anyone else that had this as a question/issue.

[Q] Purchased Apps

Silly question, I've bought an app and since I will be upgrading soon, is that app transferable from one android phone to another? I figured it would be since it was purchased under my gmail account. Just need some clarification. Also, I have to get my post count up so I can post in the dev forums!!

Yes. As soon as you sign in to your Google account from the other phone, it will be available to you again for no charge via playstore.

They can also be on multiple devices at once. I have my Thunderbolt as my main phone and also an inactive Incredible that I use on wifi to test neat stuff like CM10 (Jelly Bean is awesome by the way) and i have a lot of the same apps on both of them, particularly Titanium Backup Pro. Google has made it really easy to continue using the stuff you buy...as it should be.

Facebook App Center - Android developers experience

Hello guys!
I've opened this thread in order to collect some facts and issues by android developers who use the facebook app center. My experience is really bad, so I want to know if somebody had a bad experience like mine!
Please put the name of the app and after the "story".
--------
Fast for Facebook
My experience is really really bad, my app is ALWAYS under review.
They asked me to change the privacy policy about 5 times, descriptions, screenshots, covers... everything!
Today the worst thing is that they realized that they don't like the app, so they replied to me in this way:
"Apps that replicate facebook functionality are not permitted in app center"
Uhm, yeah? After 1 months of strange reviews? What about friendcaster? or seesmic? Why these apps are listed, but not mine? Lol?
I think I will give up on the app center, unless they will reply to my messages.
They find you as a threat because your Facebook application is much better then there's and its much faster don't give up on this at all you have my support

+1 you have full support from all xda
Don't give up! Your application is now running in my ROMs with thousands people using it!
As said before. Don't give up. Your app is great. They are just scared.
I use your app daily. Used friendcaster before but it was always buggy. Your app maybe don't have all the functions yet. But it is the best app for facebook anyway.
I have tried Facebooks official app but don't get me started....
Keep up the good work

And by the way the reason why they don't accept Fast on app center is not listed in the official policy https://developers.facebook.com/policy/
( the reason: Apps that replicate facebook functionality are not permitted in app center )

Thank you so much guys!!! :good:
Anyway I am really pissed off. They don't reply to my messages and Fast is still unlisted!!! :cyclops:
The funny thing is that I have told them in my messages that other apps that replicates facebook functions are listed in the app centre.
An example? https://www.facebook.com/appcenter/112618498804176?fb_source=appcenter https://www.facebook.com/appcenter/23723376453?fb_source=appcenter https://www.facebook.com/appcenter/getpath?fb_source=appcenter
I don't care if Fast is listed or not. We are a great community full of supporters, we don't need them.
But I don't accept unfairness. What is fair? Remove them or add the other apps unlisted. That's easy :/
Some good guy at facebook re-accepted Fast in the app center.
You can check it here https://www.facebook.com/appcenter
Finally xD

Facebook native for andriod

Perhaps most of you know this all ready. And honestly with Facebook you are the product cause your not a customer. However because I along with others have family on Facebook we are in a bind. Well Facebook went native and it finally works well with android. So for the others that have resisted being a user. Maybe its time to give them one more shot?

so far im very impressed with 2.0
The experience is definitely improved with the latest version.
Yup, much better.
Also, the argument that if you're not paying something "you're the product" is.... well I'll just say "dramatic." Yes you're being advertised to, and maybe your information is being used for advertising purposes, but.... most normal people don't give a crap, and it certainly doesn't hurt you.

I couldn't agree with you more about it hurting anyone.
Its not dramatics' its a simple fact. And that's OK that they sell my info to make money so I can have a free social media outlet.
I Apologize if this thread seems derogatory to Facebook. They seem to had missed the mark with not taking care of its "product". A vast amount of android users became disheartened of the HTML code. I wrote emails to fb explained how it seemed they were ignoring the android user.
I digress... the point of this thread was to welcome back and perhaps persuade old users to "give them one more shot" I would have never thought I'd give fb 5stars for the app! all my cool friends are on Google + and my sheep ios family are on fb.
My cool friends are all you guys on XDA!

I usually just used the browser and the mobile site or the Friendcaster app. The mobile FB site looked almost the same as the old app and Friendcaster works really well on a tablet. I'll definitely check out the new update though. It has to be better than before.
