[Q]GB bluetooth headset problem - LG Optimus 3D

I've got built in bluetooth headset in my car radio /Renault RADIOSAT/. I've got couple phones (NOKIA,HTC/WM6.5/) connected to it working without no problems. I've used last Froyo ROM (un/official), also without no problems. Now I've flashed last Gingerbread ROM (v21.kdz or any unofficial), and when I pair my phone with my bluetooth headset in car, it's RESTARTING /turning off and on/ my radio (WOW, how is it possible) every MINUTE and ofcourse disconnecting my phone, stops playing music and so on...
Can someone tell me what has changed in bluetooth specification between FROYO and GINGERBREAD
http://www.renault.co.uk/Resources/PDF/bluetooth/nov2011/compatibility-bluetooth-radiosat.pdf
Any idea what else to try or the only way is flashing back to FROYO?

SOLVED: After couple days of testing I've found out, that problem was with transfering contacts from mobile's phonebook to vehicle's phonebook. Google synchronised my non-phone contacts from GMAIL to my phonebook, with non-standard characters or noname contacts and that caused restarting of my radio. So it was always trying to copy contacts on start, but with no luck.
Now I'm running Gingerbread without any problems

Parrot 3200 LS-color - BT connection problems

I have just a new parrot 3200 LS color installed in my car.
Pairing with Diamond is no problem.
But the connection is not stable; every now and then the BT connection drops; sometimes the parrot seems to do a reboot.
My wife had a Nokia N70 with the same problems on my carkit.
firmware of the carkit: 2.11b (Dutch)
Diamond radio: 1.00.25.05
Any tips?
same problem
hi!
i have also a parrot car kit, not the same but the same problem. the bluetooth connection is very instabil and so sometimes it is hard to phone with them...
there are any solutions fpr these problems?
thank you all and sorry for my english.
I updated the radio in my Diamond to 1.00.25.08. But this does not solve the problem.
I was just wondering whether the number of my contacts (> 500) could be the cause of the problem.

it definitely does not depend on the number of contacs, as long as you cannot use your contact in any other way as calling them with you car kit ;-)
Regards
I wondered about the number of contacts, because it takes very long (> 20 minutes) to sync my DIamond contacts to the carkit.
All contacts are stored in the carkit; so I could imagine that somewhere a bufferflow in the carkit firmware could occur.
have you tried not to sync every contact, but let's say 20 and id you try it then?
Have you tried flashing your Parrot with the latest software update? I was having a problem with my CK3300 and that solved it. It is easy to do via BT on your laptop
According to Parrot's web site 2.11b is the latest firmware
I also have an 3200LS paired with the diaomd; but experience no problems at all.
I've tried lots of ROMS also; and each and everyone works well....

I also have a lot of problems with this combination, though it used to work fine. Don't what I did to mess it up, but I did...
Mouragio, could you post your BT settings?
Using the Advanced Configuration tool, my current settings are:
- Obex: Disabled
- Use Joint Stereo: No
- Bitpool: Default
- Maximum supported bitpool: 0
- Minimum supported bitpool: 0
- Sample rate: 48000 Hz
- Audio gateway service: Disabled
- Audio gateway power save: Enabled
I have maybe a partly solution to this problem.
I have more than 500 contacts in my DIamond which are synced with the parrot.
After you for the first time pair the phone with the parrot, it requests whether it is allowed to access the contacts on the phone. I answer 'yes' on the phone.
Now the syncing starts. This lasts very long (more than 20 minutes). When you interrupt this syncing by for instance switching of the ignition of your car (after which the parrot 'says' goodbye on his screen), the parrot seems to go mad.
You have to delete the paired phone on the parrot, pair again, and let the syncing of all contacts finish. After that I had no problems any more with my bluetooth connection between phone and parrot.

Been there, done that... Didn't work for me... Syncing still seems to last forever, but sometimes it syncs within a few seconds...
I also have another problem; the BT connection is dropped after each phonecall, incoming or outgoing. Sounds familiar to anybody?
Also with me the syncing process is still strange. After I've made or received a phone call, and this call is ended, the parrot starts syncing. SOmetimes more than 30 minutes.
But after I let finish the syncing the first time after I paired the phone and parrot, I have no problems anymore with dropping of the bluetooth connection between phone and parrot.
I want to test the following:
o delete pair
o create new pair
o disallow syncing of contacts
o create VCF file (via parrot_vcf_creator.zip application that can be downloaded from parrot website) that holds your outlook contact
o send that file to the parrot.
So you have the contacts in your parrot, but they will not be synced anymore. Maybe this can 'solve' the syncing problem.

Enable SMS over Bluetooth?

I have the Kenwood DNX8120 and it works fine with my Fuze (did have disconnect issues but just updated the Kenwood firmware which should take care of that) but the SMS feature on the radio doesn't work. I know only certain phones are compatible with this feature but on the Kenwood compatibility list there are several HTC devices that work. In any case, does anyone know how to enable SMS over bluetooth on the Fuze?
Thanks
I have the Kenwood DNX8120 in my car and have had no luck getting the Fuze to work correctly. It constantly drops connection. I updated the Bluetooth firmware and that only seemed to make matters worse. It will pair with the Kenwood, but either won't make a phone call or will take up to 60 seconds (or not at all) for the Fuze to recognize I it the call button on the radio. SMS, sent and received call history also do not work.
Have you had similar issues?
I can not get sms working. The only other issue I have is that after a call, it drops the connection. If I get another incoming call, it will reconnect and the radio will ring and handle the call. But, if I want to place a call, I have to either select "set as hands free" of something similar, in the bluetooth settings on teh phone and it reconnects and I can dial. I just upgraded to elite rc3 and the problem is still there. I havn't messed with it enough yet to know if it dials ok without having to bring the phone out of standby yet. I too have updated the bluetooth drivers from Kenwood and that didn't help. I also tried the jetware handfree extension and didn't see any improvement.
I called HTC about this, and they told me it only "officially" supports a hand full of car units. Mostly in the Audi and BMW. They don't "officially" support anything from Kenwood so they were absolutely no help on this. I've also noticed this phone drops all connections except cell and data when it sleeps. Wifi, GPS and Bluetooh all seem to go to sleep with the phone. This seems to make bluetooth pretty useless if the connection drops every time the phone sleeps and needs to be manually reconnected.
I haven't seen it drop the bluetooth connection during sleep. I see that the Kenwood supports some HTC devices but not this one specifically. The other wierd thing is that the first time it pairs it shows the battery indicator but after the next connect it doesn't show it. It shows the battery icon but shows it empty. The jetware extension however does fix that. I will play some more with it and report here.
After resetting my phone to AT&T's original setup, I am experiencing the exact same functionality as you. It now sync's my call history and phone book. No voice dial support or SMS yet. (These have never worked with any of my phones) It will disconnect after a couple phone calls and I have to set as hands free to reconnect. Also, mine still looses the connection to the unit when it goes to sleep. I'm keeping it on a car charger for now and turning off any sleep function when charging. That at least keeps it connected until I make a call. It's almost still not worth using with having to reconnect hands free. Maybe if a hands free quick connect shortcut could be created?
This is all really ridiculous that a phone with this kind of tech can't auto pair and be ready for a call. My LG Chocolate had absolutely no problems with the Kenwood. As soon as the Kenwood finished booting the LG would auto connect and be ready for a call.
I thought I found a workaround at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...ghlight=bluetooth+connection+drops+phone+call
But, once installed an trying to run BT Restart I get an error saying that I need .net compact framework (version 1 or 2) installed. Not sure what to do now, cant seem to find a cab for this.
I've used this package from another post on the forum. It has many useful apps including the latest version of .net compact framework.

Let me know how it turns out!
I will take a look but I have 3.5 already installed. I guess that app needs the older version. Not sure I want to mess with downgrading it.
Not Kenwood
Hey Guys,
I drive a Jag XK8 and it has the same issues you are mentioning with your Kenwood, but its an Alpine unit, it drops calls, and after the first call connects the second call rings on the stereo but you can only answer on the handset.
I also recently had a new Jag XF for a week. It had a full integration to the phone. It also only showed the battery status when the phone first connected then the battery showed empty. It would drop bluetooth connections constantly on some days (every 90secs) and then somedays it would keep the bluetooth connected without issue. Very unreliable.
The reason I bring this up, is just to let you know these issues are not limited to the Kenwood.
Dave
Just an FYI. I have found it easier to just go into setup in the Kenwood and reconnect the bluetooth from there when the phone disconnects. It's under Setup/Bluetooth/Set, then just click on the device and hit connect. It seems easier than fiddling with the phone while your driving.

[Q] bluetooth issues with Froyo leak

Has anyone encountered bluetooth issues in this leak. I drive ford vehicles with sync. Sync uses the bluetooth for handsfree calling. Since going to froyo, my phone will pair with sync initially but drop out when i try to make a call. Furthermore, the phone will do a soft reset if i try to turn the bluetooth off then back on through the power widget in an attempt to reconnect with sync. I have also encountered the soft reset twice when turning gps on an off through the power widget. Any opinion would be awesome. I'm going to flash to jf6 then back to froyo tomorrow since i originally went from Cog2.1.6 to froyo to see if that corrects the problem. I'm spoiled by handsfree calling and its driving me insane not having it! Fords new lineup with Sync rocks by the way in case anyone is wondering
+1 for same bluetooth issue

I'm having serious Froyo JI6 bluetooth problems too. It's dropping my Motorola H371 handsfree like crazy. Never had this problem with any other firmware.
Same here
My bluetooth connects to my headunit but after a few seconds it shows connecting... again and never connects. Then it soft boots. Before Froyo it was working fine. Any help is appreciated.
Wii Conectivity with 2.2 Bluez
I have been waiting for someone to incorporate the stock "bluez" bluetooth for the captivate- thats how the wii controller connectivity works. With the new Cog2.2 the controller actually shows up. The remote apps still do not see it however, so I suspect something is still not quite right...

Bluetooth Disconnect Issue

So I of course love my Thunderbolt, but I have one issue I can't seem to fix. My phone connects to my trucks headunit over Bluetooth for talk and audio. Once I start Pandora or the native music app, about 20 seconds later the phone says "Bluetooth Headset Disconnected" and thats that. Anyone else having this issue and are there any known fixes yet?
this just started happening to me after using BT successfully for months. i have tried pairing and repairing. initial pair connects headset and media, but after a few seconds i see the message headset disconnected.... the media profile is still paired but not headset.
any ideas?
thanks,
eric
i have this issue as well, but i'm running bamf 1.6.2... i wasn't going to say anything itll i was on CM again (it did work when i was on CM previously)
Try unpairing, then repairing - this time deny any requests to let your car access the TB's phonebook via bluetooth. That solved it for me.
happens to me every once in a while.
stock
no root.
i have to turn bt off and then back on and it reconnects without issue.

[Q] CM7 - No Sound For Bluetooth Phone Audio

I cannot hear the other party during a phone call routed through my MW600 bluetooth headset. The other party can hear me, and if I switch to speaker (front or back) everything works fine.
Streaming media works fine.
The headset/phone combo worked fine in ClearDroid (but GPS didn't, which is why I switched to CM7)
I have CM7 08082011 build GRJ90 on my phone. I did a complete wipe (factory reset, Dalvik, cache partition) before installing the ROM. I've tried it with and without the audio/gps fix. I've reset my headset, rebooted my phone, deleted the pairing - no worky. I've also used a couple of radios (including the recommended one), and both have the same result.
Is there a patch or some other fix for this?
my bluetooth is working for audio and phone calls. connected to my car
Baseband and CM7 Build?

Which radio and version of CM7 are you using?
radio: 12.56.60.25U_26.10.04.03_M
mod: CM7-7.1.0-RC1-inspired-pirate (it was just built last night)
I'm guessing that's something you cooked yourself?
How long have you used bluetooth with that ROM? Have you (or anyone else viewing) ever had a problem with it with this ROM?
Trying to find out if reflashing would be likely to fix it...
Thanks!

since i only built the rom the night before last, 1 whole day (used bluetooth all day yesterday, and last night). i have never had any bluetooth issues on any of the CM7 roms though. i use bluetooth in my car daily. every time i get in and start my car it connects. i use google music and pandora, and make phone calls through my stereo
Thanks for your response; I wiped, reflashed and it's working great.
For anyone else who may have this problem, I found the actual cause.
I reinstalled all my apps and the problem came back; process of elimination showed that my phone call recording app, AutoCallRecorder was causing the problem. I disabled the Use Microphone option, and the problem went away.
Thanks again, pirate. I feel like an idiot for not thinking about that app before.
