Hi,
I've upgraded to Ginger, and I had no big problems at all, but unfortunately I MUST downgrade to Froyo...
I did a backup of my Froyo version v10c with Clockworkmode Recovery.
Can you advice me which is the right procedure, please?:
a) Should I flash a Froyo kdz rom first, and AFTER THAT flash my Recovery backup? In this case, my version of Froyo was v10c but can't find that version here nor in the web... What should I choose: v10B or v10D (in order to flash my backup made in v10c after)?
b) Or can I flash my v10c Recovery backup directly over Ginger?
Thanks a lot,

Can't flash directly over gb or you need to install froyo Baseband also. Easiest risk free way is to flash a froyo kdz (any version will do) and then restore your backup. It doesn't matter which version you flash cause it reverts to your backed up v10c when you restore...
Thanks, but the LG program UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe (executed as admin) crashes when it begins to flash the .kdz (the phone is still "Gingered", and fortunately working).
I've tried to reboot my PC (Win7 64 bits), but does not help.
Could be helpful if I wipe all data before flashing? Or Unroot it? Any other ideas to avoid crashes?
My program also crashed.. i've changed the computer and it worked, you should also try on other computer.
No, best course is to flash ONLY baseband, then restore backup. I've swapped to GB to p920 froyo with my p925 kernel (thrillz) that way. (Needed 850 3g band, no gb baseband of p920h or p925 yet.
Well, finally the LG updater tool worked and let me flash v10D (FROYO)...
No problem in the flashing process.
BUT, after that, I couldn't go over LG logo... A potential 3D-BRICK
Then I tried this (thanks to davidn70mo):
0-put your phone in DEBUG MODE -> menu/settings/application/development/USB debugging,
1-push and Hold Power to power off the phone,
2-battery out, battery in (AND POWER OFF!!!! ),
3-still with POWER OFF, push and hold button Volume Up,
4-plug the device to the USB cable to PC (still holding ONLY the button Vol UP),
5-wait until you hear Windows sounds indicating it recognizes the device, then you can release the button Vol UP,
6-follow the instructions starting from section 2 c) here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236
Flashed v10D again, v10B, v10K -> no success
Tried with v21A Ginger -> worked, and nothing has been deleted!
Is ironic: I *really* wanted this update and now I'm stucked with Ginger again!
So, I presume the problem was I didn't wiped memory before flash v10D. Can anybody tell me what is the exact process to wipe data, please?:
-Vol UP + 3D button + Power, in that order or what?
-Do I need to Root and/or install Clockworkmod Recovery before to wipe?
Thanks a lot,
Vol DOWN + 3D + POWER
And then do all the wipes on the recovery menu. Phone should return to normal operation.
I did it myself after flashing v21a.
Thanks everybody,
But what wipes should I do in the LG Recovery (Vol DOWN + 3D + POWER) in order to flash a FROYO kdz after?
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-wipe cache partition and package recovery
-wipe nv dynamic partition
Thanks
Ok, couldn't wait, so I've done all 4 wipes...
Flashed v10b with the same procedure I describe above -> no problems flashing
Booting and...Works! -> I'm at FROYO (2.2.2) again!
Well, final procedure, I write this to help other people with the same problem:
HOW TO DOWNGRADE FROM GINGERBREAD TO FROYO (Disclaimer: I'm not responsible if you harm your phone doing this):
(Win7 64 bits, phone rooted)
CONTENT OF SDCARD(internal) HAS *NOT* BEEN ERASED USING THIS PROCEDURE
A) WIPE-ALL-DATA PROCEDURE (it's necessary or you'll become stucked in LG logo):
1-put your phone in DEBUG MODE -> menu/settings/application/development/USB debugging,
2-push and hold Power Button to power off the phone,
3-push and hold: 3D + Vol DOWN + Power button
4-when the LG logo appears -> Release Power button, still holding 3D + Vol DOWN
5-Release all buttons when LG Recovery Console appears with these options:
-reboot system now
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-wipe cache partition and package recovery
-wipe nv dynamic partition
CONSOLE USAGE: Use Vol UP button to go UP, Vol DOWN to go DOWN, and MENU button to accept
6-do all the 4 wipes in the order they are,
7-finally select option Reboot system now,
8-push and hold Power Button to power off the phone,
B) FLASH A FROYO ROM: (thanks to davidn70mo)
1-battery out, battery in (DON'T POWER ON!!! ),
2-still with POWER OFF, push and hold button Volume Up,
3-plug the device to the USB cable to PC (still holding ONLY the button Vol UP),
4-wait until you hear Windows sounds indicating it recognizes the device, then you can release the button Vol UP,
5-follow the instructions starting from section 2 c) here ("Turn Windows Enabler.exe and...") -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236
Hope it helps somebody!

Hi - I have a offical gingerbread 2.3.5 v20a - I want to root my Lg -p920 to a kingdroid 3d romm- I was into all this a long time ago with the G1 days of old. I know advise is the best way forward and also help with the version of superoneclick I need-ANY HELP WOULD BE ACE-THANKS
Super one click will not root V20a, Like V21b it appears that the exploit has been patched. You can however root V21a with S.O.C. Details of how to upgrade to the V21a ROM via the KDZ flashing method and the V21a ROM can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236
Updated, apparently V21b (not sure about V20a though) can now be rooted:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1429190
Your best option is to flash the V21a kdz because that rom can be rooted without problems with SOC. Just download the latest SOC (http://www.multiupload.com/9AJDSU1Q11), turn USB Debugging mode on on your phone, run SOC as adminstrator and press Root. Within a minute you'll be rooted. Turn off USB Debugging and reboot your phone.
When it's booted again install Rom Manager from the market. Open it, give it root access and then choose the top option, Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery. Close Rom Manager, connect your phone to your pc and copy the KingRom ZIP file to your sd card.
After it's done unplug it and turn off your phone. Then boot into recovery (hold volume down and press power, hold the buttons until the LG logo appears and then let go). You should boot into ClockWorkMod Recovery. Now you need to wipe all data (first do wipe data/factory reset, then do wipe cache partition and after that go to advanced and do Wipe Dalvik Cache).
After you've done all three wipes, go back to the main menu and choose install zip from sdcard, then choose zip from sdcard and then select the KingRom ZIP file you copied to your sd card. Let it finish, reboot the phone from the main menu and you're done.

Never use Rom Manager. Period. Don't flash CWM Recovery from Rom Manager. Period. Never.
That guide literally says, 'Thread closed because of problems'.
What happened was a case of incorrect bootloaders for GB.
Follow this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1223765
Follow it. Don't guess, or change anything.
If you can't get into download mode, power the phone off, hold volume up and down, and plug the phone into a computer. It will boot it into download mode.
After you follow the guide, including formatting the sd card, then you can flash octane. Make sure the mounts are correct. Most importantly, read and take your time.
Thank you so~~~much~~~!!!!
On the kj6 roms, i've noticed getting into CMW is vol + and vol- and power after a batt. pull. Keep holding the vol keys until it gets to CMW. Vol + and - and plug in the phone will get to download mode. So if the ROM is on the card, use CWM to factory wipe, wipe cache and delvik cache. Then install ROM. Hope I helped.

I have a LG Optimus 3D.
I download xperia ROM for my phone and placed on my phone's sd card.
I wiped data, cache, dalvik cache and formatted system and flashed the rom.
Sadly, i have waited for more than 15 minutes waiting for my phone to boot but :nothing .
I tried to access my cwm recovery but i couldn't.
So does formatting system removes recovery or am i pressing wrong buttons sequence for getting into cwm recovery ?
My phone now boots then turns off automatically.
ANY HELP PLEASE?
THANKS ANYONE!
Anyone please ??
Are you positive that the ROM is ported for P920? I doubt it. After all, Xperia is Sony hardware... -____-; Usually, wrong firmware will result in nothing, and even on right firmware, bad voltage settings will do that (it may either sit there doing nothing or keep resetting).
If you have bricked it, grab wpark's OMAP4 flash utility and the driver therein, and then flash V1.25 compatible CWMR via fastboot, and/or perform software update after flashing wpark's bootloader (with LG flash tool ready awaiting for the phone, plug USB in with phone off and press both power and volume up and let go once it boots up with Korean message informing of software update mode - the tool will flash both BIN and FLS files of the chosen COMPATIBLE firmware - P925, 920 and/or SU760 but just use the flash partition DLL for the specific model - found that out the hard way).
P.S. To enter the recovery, press volume down and 3D button at the same time while turning it on and don't let go unless either the CWMR boots up, or wpark's own BIOS informs that it's entering the CWMR (I think you may hold that until you are in the recovery).

The 3 button combination in order to start the phone in Recovery Mode (where wipe options are) should be volume UP + home + power.
Avoid the volume DOWN combination because that is for Download Mode.
Try start in Recovery Mode several times because sometimes the proper combination timing is not detected.
If really the phone can't start in Recovery Mode, you should flash the official firmware again via Odin, following the procedure with caution. An important, sometimes overrated action related to flashing via PC is that any antivirus (firewall mainly) must be turned off before the flashing procedure, in order to avoid (invisible) conflicts when transfering data through USB ports.

First of all the boot up loop is caused because you have not wiped the cache and dalvik cache (may be).
Since the recovery is not booting means, there is some error with flashing.
What you can do right now is to flash the Original Stock Rom using Odin, the original stock OS itself contains the recovery partition.
Hello, i think my thl t11 is bricked, i just got it yesterday and looked for rom updates so when i started to do whats here
Step 1: Download the custom ROM copied to an external SD card root directory
Step 2: the shutdown state. While holding down:
– Power button + volume button up, to enter the recovery mode.
– Wipe Data / Factory Reset -> delete all user data
– Wipe Cache Partition -> Wipe cache
– Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
Step 3: Return to recovery main interface Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> Select your ROM
Step 4: Brush complete, restart the phone Patience required – first boot takes a while.
When i used the wipe data /factory reset the phone did restart and when it begin to boot it keeps a black screen indefinitely.
please help me!
