Quad-Core Superphone, or Galaxy Nexus?

I've got an upgrade coming my way soon, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what to get.
I know the galaxy nexus will be released in the next couple of weeks, and will be one of the most powerful and beautiful smartphones on the market. But as every android user knows, there will always be something better released two weeks later.
This is where my problem arises. The quad-core transformer prime will be out soon, which means quad-cores in phones will start appearing in the near future. My question is, is it worth waiting until the beginning of 2012 for these quad-core superphones? Will the benefits (battery life, speed, performance) heavily exceed those of a dual-core phone?
I'm a patient man, I can wait. But if the added benefits of two additional cores aren't really worth it, then I have no problem grabbing a GN for the next two years. I want your general opinion though.

Samsung is preparing to launch Galaxy SII Skyrocket, will you buy?

Samsung is releasing a new Galaxy SII Skurocket.
All of your android device will be an OLD MODEL smartphone and probably will get an update in a year if you are lucky, you guys need to update.
Anyone buying the Skyrocket!

Well considering the only difference is the addition of the AT&T 4G network which is only available in like 6 cities, I'm going to say not many will buy it. You really should do your research before attempting to start a troll post. Exact same specs...new LTE radio. Get with the program.

[Q] Get phones at a "Upgrade" Price?

Hello xda
I am wondering if any of you know where to get "cheaper" phones. As of right now I want an SGSII for t-mobile, but I can't pay $600 -___-
And of course I don't have an upgrade :/
Any ideas?

I can guarantee you that you can get one for less then $600 but it's not legal...
But on the legal side of things take a look in the "for sale" section and see if anyone is getting rid of one and if you do buy unlocked i would suggest the Nexus over the SIIX isn't their SI still on froyo ?

Threatening to leave your carrier usually garners an early upgrade. It's not very ethical, but it works.

Any upcoming Verizon phones?

Has anyone read any information regarding upcoming Verizon phones? Due to a corporate discount, I will be switching to them within six months or so. The only device I can think of at this time is the Galaxy Journal (Verizon equivalent to the AT&T Note). Anyone have any info on if Verizon will get the Galaxy S3 or one of the HTC One phones? I'm in a bit of a pickle with seemingly no new phones coming out in a while.

There's no real info about the SGSIII period, it's not even announced technically.
There's been rumors about a One S variant coming to Verizon but no proof.
Verizon is pretty much playing it safe until summer begins it would seem.

i think its not worth buy s3, i have s1, s2, and s3 and must say s3 is not much faster than s2.

GS3 has a better screen and faster CPU/GPU, but it's not MUCH better. Only the screen is much better. Also, the GS2 has a MUCH better camera than the GS3 (I've had the GS2, I have the GS3 now).

Owh.so ill just stay with the s2 for now.any other models that on par with s2 to buy?

Honestly, the only other phone I would look at is the One X (only the Tegra 3 international version). It looks and feels really nice and isn't too expensive anymore since the S3 came out.

yeh the one x is an awesome phone, i own it myself, better screen than the screen on gs2 and gs3,

the sgs3 is much faster than the sgs2, in my opinion

Sg3 is faster because of software optimisation. For now I prefer to go to a gs2. This worth for money u spent.
one x n gs3 is great. On my view its not value for that much money.
