I need help please!! I Flashed the Android Revolution on my HTC Inspire justa as the instructions said, but now I cannot connect USB Debugging. I have checked the box and get the message for USB Debugging, but it will just connect as charge only and I dont get the UAB Debugging message in the status bar. i have re flashed 3 times and same issue. I cannot flash the recommended radio because I cannot connect UAB Debugging. Also giving me problems connecting as a disk drive.

seems that usb drivers are broken. You can try downloading PDAnet and install it on your pc i think it downloads yous phone's drivers

Could not get USB Debug mode for Verizon.

Hi,
I have a hobby to develop phone application.
I have no problem with connecting my HTC phone to my laptop for "USB Debugging connection" but my Verizon Samsung Galaxy s3 SCH-I535 could not get the "USB Debugging mode".
I DID CHECK the "USB Debugging mode in the system menu" however, my development environment could not get the debug mode.
Actually, when I plug in the USB with Galaxy s3, it shows the folder of the phone as usb data storage but not for debugging connection
Is there any way to get debug mode on my phone? Do I need to return this phone and wait for developer version of phone when Samsung launch in the developer site?
Thank you
I had the same issue where the galaxy only wanted to identity itself as a mtp or a camera device even though the usb debugging was enabled. adb devices command return nothing aswell. Found somewhere on stack overflow that installing the samsung kies suite would install the debug driver needed for adb to pick it up and it worked for me in my case, so hopefully that'll solve your issue as well.
I had that problem too, and I found it to be a driver issue. Grab the USB drivers from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756885 (links direct to Samsung's site) and Win7 should detect everything.
I am having the same exact issues on my Sprint S3. I have installed all the drivers. Turned on USB debugging, and nothing! I am about fed up with this. I can transfer music over to the SD card without issue. When i try to put on anything other then media it tells me my device has stopped working or was unplugged. If i wasn't past my 14 days I'd return this thing and go back my Evo.

[Q] USB debugging won't work in Linux or Windows

Have the usb drivers in windows and it was working. Now it won't turn USB debugging on. I tried on Linux Ubuntu also but no luck. Any idea? I am on custom recovery with stock rom if that helps.
edit: so it appears that that the debugging does work when using adb. adb devices recognizes my s3. But nothing noted in the notification bar when attached via usb, only connected as media device. When I switch to CM10 from stock, the debugging notification appears. Is this a samsung thing? Any thought would be appreciated.
Bump - Had this same issue. Wasted about 2 hours last night trying to figure out how to get USB debugging to turn on so I could start the root/unlock process. Turns out, debugging was on, but the phone never notified me. I'm on a new rom now and it does correctly notify me with debugging on.

[Q] USB debugging not working

I have been trying to root my htc evo 3d for virgin moblie. While I was trying to unlock the bootloader the deives drivers wont instal while usb debugging is on. If It's off I can access my sd on my computer but if USB debugging is on my computer says that the device drivers could not instal. I have tried useing Htc sync to get the drivers but that didn't work.

Disable USB debugging on the device and disconnect it from PC. Install Drivers. Wait until installation is complete. Reboot PC. Enable USB debugging on device and then connect to PC. PC will then install the drivers as required for your device.
Thx ill try this when I get home

I tried installing the samung usb drivers - no results
I tried unistalling some usb ports in device manager in windows and rebooting - no results
