[Q] galaxy s 4g PIT file - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

Hi.
I need to send my galaxy s 4g back to tmobile, but first i need a PIT file. I already tried to flash it with the stock KD1 from the galaxy s 4g bible, but it got bricked because I didn't have a PIT file. can anyone please help me get the PIT file asap??? because I need to send it back.
Thanks.

Here you go kc1 clean up file with pit http://sourceforge.net/projects/kc1cleanup/files/hawk.zip/download after you flash this just Odin kd1 to be fully stock.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda premium

Search for the gb starter pack. Download the kc1 bootloaders. Odin both files. Once that is complete, Odin kd1 by whitehawk.
another route is to Odin kj6 stock.

OP, did you fix your problem? if tmobile is sending you replacement phone, then you still have a week to fix this.

Learning curve goes way up when you have 2 phones to work with

what is the difference between kd1 and kj6?

From a badic perzpective, KD1 is Froyo. KJ6 is Gingerbread. KJ6 is the latest release. Better performance, a bit weaker wifi, better battery life.

Hello, i have a E250L 32G, power only in download mode, need to be repartition. I need a pit file from the same device.
Maybe an E250L user can manage to read this pit file from a good phone, in adb mode or hemidal.
Any help will be apreciated....thanks
.
Plss i am disperate, i need badly pit file partition for SHV-E250L 32G note 2 [email protected]. thx.
.
With this software you can extract PIT a functional phone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308546
.
PRODUCT NAME: SHV-E250L
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (23 counts)
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
I gave the command delete the partitions inside the adb shell. it shows me now download mode, connect to Odin's drivers. I ask for flash pit file.
.

Maybe post in a forum for a SHV-E250L? This is the forum for the SGH-T959V.

Same drill, Install using Odin with out using a .pit file?
Just to clarify, I have never used one. I have heard it will cause problems if you do.
no pit, use heimdall or odin. This one came with the 831 PIT also.......
What i don't get is why Samsung won't host these files & a utility for flashing them onto their own devices...

Ive downloaded from 2 places, all fail.

Is it possible that its Odin not reading the PIT? Seems strange it doesn't work.
Edit: not saying that's the problem for the rest of you. Just why we can't use the PIT.

Guys, this works perfect with Heimdal. ODIN stopped working for me when I brought some kids vibrant back to life.
Just install heimdall, change the .tar.md5 to just .tar, and extract it. then load each of the files in their right places.

[q] ota bricked today

So I woke up to the download already completed, the only option I had was to reboot. Now I have a triangle with a blue exclimation and a green android......I was running Gummy 2.1. Any ideas? Pull the battery and try to boot into recovery???

were you using the pit file in combination with the full stock EE4 file? You have to use both together at the same time in ODIN
I'm using Samsung_Charge_ED2_Full.tar.md5 and the charge.pit file ?
Md5 file is in PDA spot. is that correct?

You shouldn't extract any of the tar files. Odin will only accept tar or .tar.md5 files.
