Hi Guys,
We all are impress by the interface of MIUI, but we cant hope it till Cynogenmod is fully compatible with our device as it is still in progress and MIUI is fully based on it.
so we cant enjoy the look and feel of it.
but some days back i got this beautiful launcher which has most of the feature of MIUI, i dont know who has translated it, so full credit goes to that Unknown person, and i think his name is vipin..
here are few screen shot , you will enjoy it coz it is very very smooth and work very well in almost all devices.

there might be some other problem with ROM, coz i am using this since last 2-3 monts and till now i have never faced any force close or any other issue, its working fine, you can try it on any other device,, coz nobody has faced this kind of issue, please try again...
i installed it like i install any other app, no problems whatsoever,however the lack of customization options is a big let down, i was not even able to change the name of the city in the weather widget, i hope these issues are sorted out in the next release
About the launchers:
The best is the TwLauncher 3.0 (default) of the phone, but it has the least customizations and no themes. But it is super smooth and touch response is awesome.
The Modded Tw4.5 Launcher sucks. So do Adw & Launcher pro (free or paid).
The best launcher I feel is Go Launcher. Absolutely super launcher. Nice themes and lots of widget options. The Folder creation in App drawer is the best of the lot. Lots of customizations.
The other launcher that I like is Mx Launcher, just for the handling off the apps in the drawer. I like the grouping options.
I keep on trying all the different launchers but keep coming back to Default Tw3.0 and Go Launcher.
I can't say about others but for me these two simply rock.
The theme is iPhone by eSeth. Search for eSeth in market and you will get it. Widget is Beautiful Widget.
But for me TW4.5-beta#21 is simply superb. it's butter smooth. Since long time even i used go launcher. though i tried so many other launchers, settled back with go launcher till i tried TW4.5-beta#21. Beta#22 is under testing. Go launcher is also a good option but it takes a good share of RAM for itself.
Now i really love this TW4.5

So I flashed the launcher, rebooted and deleted launcher2 and everything is running really smooth man. I also haven't had 1 force close on the launcher yet, had a couple a day with the launcher2. Runs really smooth and love that I don't have to deal with the delayed scrolling anymore in the app menu! Great job man!
Where Can I get google's original source code for their apps?
I'd like to start making my own modifications (have basic java knowledge) but not sure where to start. I downloaded Launcher2 from cyanogen's github but it appears to be referencing missing classes. any held is appreciated. thanks

15/2 updated launcher, faster than before
Installed this launcher, deleted my launcher2(after backing up in multiple ways of course), but all good so far.
Had one stall out which rebooted the phone, but honestly not sure what it was from.
I was creating a "call" Shortcut via better cut, but also still had launcher2 installed at the time. my 25% setCPU profile was just turning on as well so many things could have caused it.
Great work so far.
*Update* No problems since, this was likely an unrelated problem

i hope someone is able to help you with this mate- maybe the person who first modified the G1 launcher, whose name escapes me at the moment (I know rogro took over after a while but he now has GDE)...
By continuous scroll you mean the fast swype of whatever they call it so you can swipe from first screen to eg. 4th screen with a fast swipe? Or a continuous move from 5th screen around the corner to first screen?
Both of these would be awesome!! lol.... plus folders in the launcher to clean things up would be great.

Install "home switcher" from market or clear launcher defaults in settings/application settings/manage applications
Hey guys. I want to share a new launcher. Its called lightning launcher. It is free in the market.
Guys this launcher is a must try. I have found this launcher very useful and great. And i recommend this launcher specially for low-end devices. Its really Awesome!
I have a habit of changing themes and launchers every day or even several times in a day. But after installing this launcher,i have not switched to any other launcher since one week. Now i have even uninstalled launcher(which "was" my all time favourate)

After installing this launcher u will need to install lightning launcher setup app which is also free in the market.

U will also need to install LLW any widget app to use the widgets or u can use only lightning launcher widgets

Lightning launcher is of only 53 kb, setup app is of 192 kb and any widget app is of 17 kb. So even after combining all these apps the total memory is below 500 kb, which is really amazing.
There are lots of customization options available. You can experiment and setup the launcher according to your need

if i set a walpaper from the galary or like u described, the walpaper is super zoomed! pleas help how to get fixed. i set the boarder like i want the background to look like, but if i go home......bam!!!!...... super zoomed walpaper

Hi guys, I'm trying to port SecLauncher2.apk from GS3 Rom to my SGS2 and should also work on note.
This is a test so maybe there are bugs!
If you want to try give me a feedback
push libdrawglfunction.so in /system/lib/
and SecLauncher2.apk in /system/app/
No bugs, but for someone else to play with:
- 5 icons in dock (which is fine and useful)
- 4 icons on the desktop
- 4 icons in the drawer
If someone could fix this, I believe a lot of people would kiss you.

Sorry for the double post.
I think there is 5 icons but the size of the launcher is not correct for our device and we see only 4 docks.
We need to resize the launcher.
I was about to say it doesn't need a resize for us, but I see what you mean - the margins are way off and widgets get cut, but we could just scrap our huge widgets and change them out with SGS3 widgets... or resize for 5 icons, margin and use both types of widgets.
EDIT ADD: Saw your doublepost. The launcher was directly ported. The OP did not resize it for the SGS2. It's exactly the same on the S3.
Please make 5x5 grid in homescreen and drawer and we'll love you!
It was just resized for SGS2. Maaaaybe he'll take his time and add a fifth row. <3

I am able to launch the applications from the launcher. No problem at all except the margins and some of the Samsung widgets does not load on it.
So I see it. Most widgets not working. But I like jejeje. Thanks!!!

I am unable to add any widgets otherwise running well....the menu option on homescreen is white with light fonts not easy to read,,,
need some fixes for note: we have large margins at homescreen and in appmenu + need 5x5

Works great as close to Miui as you can get and I'm on Miui, installed and set up to brace for a phone upgrade and having to wait for root. Would there possibly be the ability to backup/restore settings implemented sometime? Thanks again

the gingerbread version of this launcher takes more than 25mb of ram. it's a good launcher but i think i will stick with xperia launcher only.
Can anyone tell me how to use themes that I downloaded here on xda? Is it like with milocker when I place the .mtz to miui/themes on my sd card?

This is great. I had given up on a fully-functional MIUI ROM for my Samsung Galaxy Player 5 (what's out there currently doesn't have a working GPS for the GB version and no camera for the ICS version). I have basically recreated MIUI by installing this and the individual MIUI Music, MIUI Camera and a MIUI look-alike File Explorer. The only thing really missing is the drop-down MIUI Settings/Notifications Menu.
hmmm the widgets aren't working right for qhd display evo 3d. they are smaller than the display...one side looking good, the other is no good...
if i scroll fast ..launcher hangs and restarts...hope it'll fixed in nxt uplate..

I searched in the PlayStore to make sure and you're right, MiHome for Gingerbread is gone !
This is the old launcher that Sony Japan released for 1.6 and 2.1 long time ago. Now, i've modified it so that it works on both GB and ICS. I've also attached the live wallpaper that comes with the launcher and it works great as well.

Honestly, I didn't know it had to be moded to work on GB/ICS. I've searched the web a while ago and found version 1.0.0 (provided by you) and also 1.1.0, which has one or two extra options at 'Home Settings' (Image quality and Tails - for the animation.)

I was unable to attach the .apk, xda seems to be grumpy right now...
The launcher is working fine on ICS (tested as I speak).

As for the widgets, i'm not sure if it is possible to use any widget from GB+.
weekender90, there are different versions of this launcher, as you said some of them don't need any mods in order to work, however some need to go through some changes . As for the lockscreen, yes, it would be awesome to have, but i belive that there would be too much file-rewriting and even then it may not work properly.

Nice port and i like the lwp. But it seems that the lockscreen couldn't take over the slider default of stock roms and it always appears before the ambient lockscreen. So you get 2 lockscreens.
Another thing i noticed is that rebooting the phone will disable access to the drawer. Only happened though when i used the launcher as a default replacement.
But still it's visually good.
Ei dev, any chance that this couls become a home.apk replacement? And i can suggest, i think this will go perfectly if themed with your 4 corner mod. Just a suggestion. Grear work bro.:thumbup:

The lockscreen bug appears because the new lockscreen is a separate app that is been set to appear first when phone reboots or is being unlocked, so removing UXPlockscreen.apk from system apps may solve this problem.
For the second question i have no solutios as settings this launcher to default is something that i don't reccomend as it doesn't always loads its resources properly.
And finally, if you'rea talking about merging the two launchers it would be impossible as they have different API levels, it's a good idea though.
P.S. i'm still working on a 1.6 launcher if anyone interested
