For those of you that are having problems doing an PRL or PRI update download the attached OMADM.apk and push it to /system/app. Then reboot
For anyone who wants to learn something new, I used this Autodeodex script because I use windows. There are two options, one for a Sense Rom and one without. If you are going to deodex a sense Rom, you need to edit the script with the right BOOTCLASSPATH which is located in the boot.img. You may still need to manually deodex some of the files.

@Agimax, the /system/app & /system/framework files are identical between Fresh 2.1.1 and Fresh Toast 2.1. Where they diverge are in the kernel, configuration, etc.

Makes more sense to do it the other way around. Apply the /system/app & /system/framework to the custom kernel (FreshToast) ROM.

Full up to 360 rotation on 2.1 roms!!
Simply apply MCR3.1 360 Rotation Mod.zip like any other update.zip
This mod was made for MoDaCo Custom ROM r3.1 and it changes framework so it will most likely only work on this rom but it can easily be made for any rom.

I used smali to decompile framework.jar and replaced
classout/android/view/WindowOrientationListener.smali
classout/android/view/WindowOrientationListener$SensorEventListenerImpl.smali
classout/android/provider/Settings.smali
all "classout/android/provider/Settings$" files
With the ones from cyanogenmods desire rom

Ok. It may be time consuming with porting low level smali parts from one to another dissably file (maybe with all htc modded stuff in it).
If I'm right the "WindowOrientationListener" just works? So you could just write your own simple application for these rotation settings...

I dont think I quite have the knowlege to create my own app to do it but sounds like a solution maybe someone could come up with?
Would be nicer to have the settings in settings though
It worked when I flashed the first file, but stopped working after I applied the fix. My phone is now back to how it was

I just changed a few png´s to stock ones, and removed everything but the Rosie.apk
To install:
Download Rosie6x5.zip from attachments
Flash from recovery
NOTE: This has been tested running InsertCoin 2.3.4 only
It is recommended to Make a nandroid backup and install a backup launcher from the market.

as long as its not a stock/odexed rom...it should work on any custom rom, but ive tested and been using on insertcoin 2.3.4 v2.1 with no issues.
also, PLEASE do a nandroid backup, sometimes having another launcher isnt enough to undo the changes

Sorry. Didn't think it was that big of a deal as it is just the Rosie.apk made by htc, modified a little by you. But this is your work, and I stated that in the OP and this thread is dedicated to your work.
And if I ever wanted to publish something containing your work again, I'll of course ask for permissions first.

I saw there was a landscape Rosie Mod in another thread in this forum, but I took a look at it, and it's got a lot of extra/unecessary coding due to the fact that it is pulled from a tweaks app. As I understand it, this has been causing problems when it is used. Accordingly, I just wanted to put out a version that ONLY contains the change to allow for landscape rotation (one number in one smali file...). I am in the process of coding a tweaks app, so I thought I'd share things as they come along...
Anyway, enjoy, and feel free to use in your roms, chefs...

Yes. It's a long painful process, as I am doing my own port from roman bb's original for GB, but I really want to do it that way, rather than use j4n87's, although I will ask him (nice guy) if I can't take it any longer..... I am a glutton for punishment and like to see how things work, what can I say?

Is this an XML or smali change?
If its a smali change then it would have to be odexed to work on my ROM.
It its XML then you would just need to delete the classes.dex inside of Rosie.apk.
But i have a feeling its a smali change :crying:

Sorry man. Odex is the way to go. People love it. If I get time I will try to odex one and see if I can remember how. It was my first time going odex so... Not a lot of experience yet.
If anyone wants to use the mod until one of us odex's it you can just delete /system/app/Rosie.odex and then push the new Rosie and reboot. Worked fine for me. YMMV.

I have a couple of ppl on diff sense roms and they dnt wanna change roms, so I downloaded the MusicBox v3 RC1 from the thread on the Intl. One X forum but it wouldnt flash in recovery though some ppl reported it working so if someone could plz get me the MusicBox app that does work on the One XL i'd appreciate it a lot! Thanx in advanced!

you should be able to extract the app from the the .zip folder, then push it to system apps and change permissions to rw-r--r-- and then a reboot.
if that doesn't work i don't know what to tell you

i tried but music.apk kept force closing and so did the sound enhancer, maybe cuz i downloaded the wrong one? there were a couple of dloads to chose from but they are all v3 RC and the one everyone talked about was v3 alone, plus they were all able to flash in recovery....

The mod has to be added to the framework of each Rom you use... It can't just be made into one single mod... And since One X has multiple carrier's and bases it would cause some issues

well i have an idea but dunno if itll work.. see i extracted the musicbox v3 RC zip and i took the same exact files from viper rom that appeared on the musicbox zip: 4 .cfg files from system/etc/soundimage, framework.jar from /system/framework and htcmusic.apk and htssoundehnancersetting.apk from /system/app. if i replace these on a rom .zip and flash that rom with those edits, it should work right?

The framework.jar would have to be the same base as the Rom your using, also roms like viper have tweaks that it will break if it's not added to the smali the right way... The best way to use the mod is to learn how to edit the smali yourself so you can add it to each Rom you want to use

Did you not read the 1 and a half pages, or even a couple posts? Your answer is in there.
It can't be done because it requires a modified framework. If the ROMs are the same base you can pull the framework.jar and the rest of the required files from a MusicBox ROM and replace them in the ROM of your choice. EX. All the 3.17 Sense+ JB ROMs that have come out in the past week or so. If one has MusicBox it could possible work. I think newt's Sense+ JB ROM may have MusicBox.

newt's has musicbox but the best feature (Headset Type) isnt working, stays stuck on UrBeats which is the worst preset.. but hopefully he gets it workin and im always stalkin rom threads askin the devs to implement the mod

This isn't Musicbox but I'm sure it will suffice.
Reboot to recovery wipe cache and dalvik.
Flash then reboot. You might have to do two more additional things in the build.prop.
Change lpa.decode=true to false
Add the line af.resampler.quality=3. Save then reboot.
