[Q] Boat browser - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just ditched maxathon after it started crashing simultaneously for boat browser and I have to say I'm impressed so far with the UI, but I have noticed it only allows for about 8 links on the speeddial and it would seem like thereis tons of room for more. Can I fix this to allow me to add more links to my startup page? That was one feature I really liked about maxathon, that it allowed plenty of links to webpages on its homescreen.
Heres a screenshot for example.

Also I was wondering if anyone knew how to get soundcloud tracks to play in the browser, it didn't work for me on stock, dolphin, maxathon, or boat.

Dear ickkii,
Thanks for supporting Boat browser. Currently, we only support max 9 speed dials in home screen. Because, at first, we consider this is supposed to the max value for cell phone. Now, more and more devices have big screen, high density. It's necessary to support more and more speed dials.
Tuning the home screen to support more screen size/density (e.g. more speed dials) is in our product plan.
For the other question, about soundcloud, could you please provide more information about his soundcloud? How to use it and what the behavior is you expect? I never use soundcloud before, sorry for that.
Any question, you could send email to boatbrowser#gmail.com (replace # with @). We will reply you ASAP.
Thanks.

oscilloscope Pro frozen
I bought oscilloscope pro thinking I could use it to measure the frequency of the output of a function generator I was building. Well, it looked good, except the pattern on the screen was jumping around. I was playing with the settings, trying to get the triggering to freeze the picture, and instead I somehow froze the app. Now it freezes as soon as it opens, with a blank screen. I have to turn the phone off to get out of the app.
It was really cool when it was working. Any suggestions?
I don't know about the freezing, but I suspect that the problem with it jumping around is related to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyquist–Shannon_sampling_theorem
Big sorry!!!
I'm really sorry I hadn't seen your post MillieBG.
I didn't get a email through to tell me!
Well all I can say is I have just released a new update and this is the best yet. I think it will sort all your problems.
Get back to me and tell me what you think?

[APP][2.2+] Super Light for Facebook (lightweight client)

I'd like to invite you all to test free facebook client: Super Light for Facebook
Google Play link: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atec.superlightforfacebook
It's not as powerful as original client, but it has some other advantages.
very lightweight if you want to save storage space
lack of annyoing processes in background
compatibility with most devices because it uses android build in web browser engine
no address bar like in traditional web browser
you can: browse content, chat, like, upload photos, open links and videos, etc...
both Standard and Pro versions are Ad free
If you need version with more features take a look at Pro release.
App is still under development, so if you got any ideas how to improve it, don't hesitate to comment.
I like the idea. I don't use Facebook too often, although I use an old version of the app for contact sync. But that version doesnt really function for anything else but its low filesize unlike the newest version of the app. That's where an app like this comes in handy. If I should think of any suggestions it would be to hide the scrollbar, which it seems like (on your pics) that it is but on my phone it shows and it adds this weird whitespace:

}
Also, another thing, does this app cache anything?

[APP][4.0.0+] Metro UI Launcher [FREEMIUM]

Hej folks,
i would like to introduce you the Metro UI Launcher 8. Enjoy a Android Homescreen in the Windows 8 Modern UI Design.

Maybe you are wondering: "What the heck?", but i can promise, this launcher is really efficient.
In (default) Android Launcher there is no such functionality where you can open your Internet Browser. Instead of that, you have to search for the appropriate app. It doesn't matter how your app is called, Chrome, Opera or Firefox, with one click on the Quick access functions, your Internet browser is open.
The browser is only a example but works also for sms, maps, contacts etc.
The next good thing is, that it looks like the real metro surface ( not Windows Phone). It can be customized with a lot of features, also with icon packs. There will be a official documentation for theming the Metro Launcher as soon as possible.
Yes i know, the launcher is not perfect, but it is still in development and will continuously improved to provide a real Metro UI feeling.
Let me know what you think. Every suggestion and feedback is welcome.

Hi
Thanks so much for your XBrowser app !
The way it goes fullscreen in immersive mode and desktop mode is unique on my z4 tablet with keyboard and touchpad !
BUT it doesn't display enough information (for example it displays only 19 conversations in desktop gmail, whereas apps like chrome can display the 25 conversations I have in a desktop gmail page), everything is a little too big. Could you please consider this ? Is there not like a ScaleFactor option you could use to display more content on my sony xperia z4 tablet ??
(I have mentionned this in a comment in the forum : https://forum.xda-developers.com/z4-tablet/help/web-browser-how-compare-to-chrome-touch-t3614412 )
Thanks so much for your feedback on this !
Have a great day !
Pierre

Chrome, Chromium browsers & the friggin "link disambiguation pop-ups"

Hello!
First of all, if you don't already have a precise clue about what is this “link disambiguation pop-ups” stuff, please check out the attached screenshots below.
This pile of sh1te @#$% big brother Google decided to implement long ago in its multi-platform browser is something I'd really do much better without. If my data is correct, this (dis)feature can be flag-disabled on all of the Chrome browser variants… except on Android.

I'd really love for other nice browsers like good old Firefox to become a viable alternative to Chrome on Android but, so far, all of them seem to suck deep in some way(s).
Thanks to my computer science background I know disabling this feature for the Android versions may be more or less easily achievable. I am handily willing to do anything to banish this stuff from my Chrome browser (even hex editing files :silly: ). I am running optimized stock rooted Lollipop 5.1 on an XT1032 device.
Thank you in advance and may the light enlighten you.
Cheers
in my opinion the best browser this Firefox!
