[Q] App to switch between running apps?

I am new to android and I have started my journey with a Galaxy Tab. I need something which will bind to a key (like long press search) and will allow switching between running apps. Any suggestions?

This is useful indeed, but QuickDesk provides a longer list of recently-used apps. I use both all the time.

Is there any android app which will convert my volume button in to camera button?

Is there any android app which will convert my volume button in to camera CLICK button?
Its very inconvenient to get self photographed !
You may find a hacked version of your camera app that will allow this depending on what device you are using. You will have the best luck looking/posting in that device specific forum.
I am using sgs2 n thanks in advance for this help!

Multitasking bar for cm9

Does anyone know if u are able to reprogram the search button as multitasking? If not is anyone here capable and willing to reprogram it for some of us who I'll use it because I rarely touch the search button. Anyone else would like this except for me? Btw I'm running eagesblood, Thanks in advance
I second that request. That'd be way more useful than the search button
Do you mean the recently used/running task list? That's accessed by pressing home one the first home screen.

I would love this. Seem to remember CM7 having custom application launching for touch and hold search button so it might be a feature that just hasn't been implemented yet.
I have seen customizable keyboard modifications for devices with physical keyboards in order to remap some of the less useful keys to something worth while. When I have more time I may try to dig it up and see how complicated it is. Anyone care to tackle this? I probably don't have the knowledge to complete.

You can customize the home key in cm9 like you can customize the search key in cm7. You need to install Apex launcher. It have a lot of features you would like. This launcher do everything like cm7. Try it out.

Can you just remap it with Button remapper or Tasker?

Button remapper won't work because it doesn't remap the long press stuff like multitasking.

My Apps Play Store

This might be a stupid question but.
I have 4.2.1 now on my HTC One S thanks to Dark Jelly, but how do I get to My Apps, and My Wishlist in the playstore?
I'm not sure how that rom exactly works, but try holding down the recent apps button for context menu.

Yea holding that down does nothing.
Might be a problem with the ROM, not sure. I guess I should post over there.
*yup, a setting on the rom.
Settings-- system-- hardware keys
From there you can set one of the keys to be a shortcut to the menu (long press recent apps key is what I use). Hope that is what you're looking for...

[Beanstalk] Long Press Back - Kill App

I know this ROM used to have an option to enable long press on the back button to kill the current app. I think it used to be under developer options. Anyway, on the latest Beanstalk Build I can't find the option anywhere (I'm probably blind). Could someone point me to it please? I've found other threads with mods to enable this function, but I know it used to be built in to the ROM so I don't want to install a Mod if I don't need to.
Thank you!
PS Scott is awesome!

Wonderful! Thank you.
To clarify for anyone else reading: Settings > System > Hardware Keys > Enable Custom Actions
Back key (long press) = Kill app
I use the onscreen buttons and the back to kill app stopped working for me. No idea why.

Hey thanks for this, have been looking for that option for a while now. Never even noticed it was in that menu all greyed out lol
Thanks, i was also searching for it.
