Over clocking problem

Whenever I over clock my phone always vibrates then crashes and I have to do a battery pull. What's the problem

Follow this guide

You may be using the wrong values. or over clocking too high. Not all phones can handle the same thing.

For a few weeks I was overclocked to 1.2 and it was working fine then it started to crash so I lowered it to 1.1 and it would crash within an hour

Are you sure it is stable? What rom are you on?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
Its just a deodexed 2.2 rom that I flashed using odin

That's why I haven't been over clocking but I liked how fast it was
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
are you sure the values are correct? hmm. are you on the bali kernel? if you are not, oc wont work 100% at higher values
I think I'm on the stock kernel but I could be wrong. I've been using tegrak over clock so that should set the correct values right??
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
I would flash the bali kernel if you want to over clock. I have bali 3.3uv. I'm not saying it can't be oced with stock, but bali has its improvements. the only thing is wifi calling cannot be used properly.
tegrak will set the values it knows. I would follow dsexton's guide on how to oc. bible thread --1.6 oc stable link.

seems funny that the phone would crash at 1.1. On ICBINB + Bali 3.3 I could get 1.4 stable. Tonite I successfully got the KH2 gb build installed with ext4 enabled and OC is much more stable and the phone is much faster even with no OC at all. I think maybe KH2 has fixed problems with earlier GB builds or maybe I finally got it right.
I don't understand why the over clocking is all of sudden crashing my phone
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
did you ever get bali?
Something is wrong with my computer I'm gonna flash it as soon as its fixed

Is there a way I could download and flash from my phone
Sent from my galaxy s 4g using XDA app
Yes, bali is also cwm flashable.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
Thanks I'm gonna have to try that. But what's cwm I'm still new to flashing stuff

V6 on infinity?

Do any of you know if I will have to run the minfrees and what not on boot or if they will stick on boot with infinity?

Mine stick using update 9 RC3.2. I use build.prop and selected the init.rc integration.

If you want a fast smooth phone try Valhalla final or black edition if you want to stay with stock try using adrenaline shot or lighting zap you should see a jump in quads with lighting zap but I've heard quads don't mean much
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
Lol. Run your "quadrant benchmark" 3 times in a row and post the results.
This is a result with tegrak overclock

Tegrak isn't quadrant.
I guess I wasn't clear. Run it 3 times in a row and post all 3 results.
Here's the market link for quadrant
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.aurorasoftworks.quadrant.ui.standard
Here it is

Now refer to this thread on the same subject. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1451811
Yeah. When i benchmark i often get stuck in I/O 2/4

I have the same issues as you, the only rom that seems to get good quadrant scores for me is the "SimplySimple" rom. I average 2450 on quadrant, on other roms I would be lucky to break 1800.
The one thing I didn't like about the rom was the theme, but I was able to change that & now I'm a happy camper.
I just flashed Valhalla Blacj edition v2. And it works great, i have a quadrant score average of 2600+
I highly recommend this rom
