For anyone running a ROM that supports the standard /system/media/bootanimation.zip format for boot animations (i.e. no stock ROMs), I've cooked up ports of some of the Epic 4G's boot animations, edited to display full-screen on the Tab. There are three available, the Cyan, Pink, and Green versions, as shown below.
Fuchsia Boot:

Note that some users have reported laggy animations at this resolution. If you do, message me and I'll send you one with the framerate cut down to compensate.
To install:
1. Rename the download to bootanimation.zip
2a) use adb to remount, then push the file to /system/media/
2b) OR use your Root File Explorer of choice to copy the file into /system/media/
If you have any problems, Google it and search XDA for similar installation instructions and check you've done them to the letter. Then you can PM me with your problem if you're still getting nowhere.
nice works Bro, appreciated
Awesome Job man. keep it up.
Very nice, thanks
Glad you liked them everyone!
Does anyone have any specific requests for ported boot animations from other devices or anywhere, really? I've been trying to port over my whole collection, but it's slow going.
If anyone has any ideas for animations (existing animations, ports etc), just post here or PM me and I'll see what I can do.
Beautiful. Thanks for your work
Seems your dropbox is down.
Downloads are working, thank your for the bootanimations.
It's very beautiful, thanks

Made this a while ago, but only had it in a specific phone forum. After seeing some photos of the AT&T logo as the Death Star, I decided to make a boot animation to encompass the idea. I found a video on youtube of the Death Star testing its powers. I edited the Death Star to have the AT&T rings around it, and made the planet pink to represent T-mobile. This is a landscape boot, uses the whole screen.
Please read. I am not responsible for your phone or your illiteracy.

I have 2 ways of putting it on your phone;
1: Non Flashable - Drop in where your bootanimation.zip is in your phone and set permissions to look like this with root explorer
2. Flashable (Flashes to /system/media) - Put on the root of your SD and boot into clock work recovery and choose flash zip from SD.

Will it work on android phone?
I have G2x.
Anyone try this yet?

Uummmmm... Its built for any Android phone. Like I said. If your bootanimation.zip isn't in the /system/media folder, then download the Non-Flashable and put it in the correct folder for your phone. Its built for 480x800, so that covers a lot of devices. And if you don't have a 480x800, just edit the top line of the desc.txt to your screen size. You don't even have to unzip it.
Post only if you are facing problems or bugs!use Thanks for Thanking me!
Remember to THANK me!
they get better as you scroll down and down
Navigate to root>System>media paste the bootanimation.zip in there if you want make a backup of your previous boot ani
pls let me know if any of these dont work
links which have flashable above them can be flashed with xrec

I modified TiN-MAN's HTC Desired Bios Boot animation. Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149779
Credits: TiN-MAN, frysee for bios boot screen, and Dysgenic for Particle ring into a boot animation for CyangenMod 7.
I know the Bios animation is semi old, but I searched all over for a Droid X Bios boot animation and only found one that linked to an thread on XDA. The download link is bad just for the droid x version so I Modified TiN-MAN's since it goes nice for my phone. I added Droid X, OMAP 3630 CPU, v2.3.7 and Texas Instruments Processor type. I am taking request to "personalize" it too. Such as CPU Speed and removing CM7 mention from it.
You will need root to use this.
Install Instructions: Add the bootanimation.zip to your SD Card > Using root explorer on your phone copy the bootanimation.zip from the SD Card and go to System/Media > Mount R/W and paste the bootanimation.zip/replace the original one. Mount R/O and exit root explorer then Reboot !

Download Link: (14 FPS) http://www.mediafire.com/?d3bajyfdd96iuqz *Slower animation, added 2 frames to Root Success, and removed frames from Select operating system to start from 5 seconds to 3 seconds*
Can you made it for the MIUI ROM (You know with the extension .mtz) and without the cyanogen animation? Please! And thanks in advance!
[BOOT & SHUTDOWNANIMATION] The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past animations [LG G3]
Hello all,
I recently saw a couple of gifs taken from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past that I thought would make swell boot and shutdown animations. Specifically, I thought the bit where he falls after taking sufficient damage would be good for a shutdown and Link being revived by a fairy would be a good boot. I originally made the frames at the native resolution for the G3, but soon discovered that the G3 cannot run boot and shutdown animations with a resolution of 1440x2560 at 60FPS. It can, however upscale a 360x640 animation quite beautifully and run at 60FPS. So, the animations:

Installation:
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BRICKING, EXPLODING, OR ANY OTHER MALFUNCTIONS YOU MAY ENCOUNTER AS A RESULT OF INSTALLING THESE ANIMATIONS
BE SURE TO HAVE A CURRENT BACKUP READY, JUST IN CASE
Flash Installation:
1. Download whichever flashable zip you want to install(boot, shutdown, or both).
2. Move the zip to your internal sdcard.
3. Reboot into recovery mode.
4. Flash the zip, reboot your phone, and enjoy.
One last note: I flashed this zip using TWRP; as such I have not tested its compatibility with CWM, so I do not know if it will work with that particular recovery software.
If anybody would like zips for manual installation, give me a shout and I'll be happy to oblige.
Regards,
BobSchlomboggi

Just made a bootanimation for Honor 9 in Resurrection Remix style! Hope you like it.
Obviously this bootanimation will work on any firmware, not just RR-OS, but the animation is made for it. If you want more colors or have some improvements to mention, I'm open for suggestions!
*Original Pixel 2 bootanimation used as template
Requirements:
- Root access
- Any root file explorer (such as Total Commander)
Installation instructions:
1. Navigate on your phone to /system/media/
2. Replace the bootanimation.zip with the downloaded one (Backup is recommended in case you want your old one back)
3. Open properties of the new bootanimation.zip, go to permissions and set them to RW/RW/RW
4. Reboot and enjoy

Would be great to have a dark version of this boot animation
I just inverted the colors and it ended up in a kind of (in my opinion) nice looking green effect. ? I don't know if you like it, but just try out... If not, I can do it with another color too.
Thanks. It kinda look weird in green, I think it would be perfect in red or dark blue.
Still not loading new bootanimation in honor 9 lite (LLD_AL-10)

I replaced as it is stated but still no custom bootanimation is loaded at the time of rebooting.
