Hey all, I'm not sure if this is a widely known trick for fixing the problem of not being able to sync the time on your phone with AT&T's time after flashing certain roms, but if you are like me and are extremely compulsive about having the exact time on your phone, try downloading ClockSync from the market! Once you have downloaded, just open the app and synchronize your phone with the app's world time, and whoala! No more setting the time by hand after flashing every 10 minutes
Don't forget to thank me if it helped you! I need to get over my one thanks! It feels like it is staying forever!!!!

seemed to have screwed up youtube on my android phone as it will no longer play any videos. in accounts and sync in options there was always one listed that had my username(at)youtube.com and i never thought much of it. started having trouble with it the other day and deleted it. whenever i open the youtube app now it asks me to sign in. i do using the same username i have when i log onto youtube's regular website and nothing works. just says that it is invalid. i'm at my wits end with this. any help would be appreciated
I don't know of any easy solution but you can always fall back on a hard reset/factory default. It's often quicker doing this than spending ages trying to repair one arcane problem.
i have thought of that but i'll be really pissed if i do that and the problem still exists which i have a feeling might happen. prob gonna end up doing that if no one else has any suggestions. thank you though
I have a problem with Emails on my Samsung Focus, 1.3 with Mango 7720 installed. The phone downloads emails normally. But after a couple of days, it would redownload all the emails. It is so frustrating to see it download 2k emails repeatedly. It takes time and I cannot do stuff in the meanwhile as the phone becomes superslow! I thought it was a one-off situation. But it has happened several times now. The phone is downloading messages as I type now!
Any solution? Please help.
Thanks.
Well, not so much a solution as a mitigation, but have you considered telling the phone to not download all 2000 messages? If nothing else, that much burn a lot of your phone's storage... I only keep up to two weeks of messages typically, and use server-side rules to keep the really chatty mailing lists out of my inbox (and I don't sync those folders on the phone).
It's even possible that it does the re-download because it keeps hitting some storage limit, wiping the files out, and then starting again (though that's a very basic guess).
Thanks for the reply. I preferred downloading the entire stuff as I am on a 2g connection(Wifi at home, so I use it mostly at home), and it is pathetically slow to download stuff if I were outside my house. I have changed the settings to download messages from the last month. Shouldn't be much of a problem now.
Just to be sure, is it one of the Email bugs that was resolved in the 7740 update? I am on 7720, and I want to update via cab method, but just don't know how to. Thanks again and have a good day.
Why don't you choose to download say only last two (or x) days of Email?
Maybe that's what I will do now. Anyway, I noticed that this was your first post. Welcome to xda
Hey there everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster. Usually I can find all my answers searching but dang this one has me stumped. I am hoping it's a complicated repair so I don't feel like an idiot but at the same time let's hope it's something easy.
Device: OnePlus 6T A6013 (T-Mobile)
Android Version: 9
Oxygen OS Version: 9.0.13
My google search, assistant and the home page keep giving me errors saying it is offline when I try to search something whether it is on wifi or mobile data. All of my other apps work fine and I can use chrome to search but with my job I am constantly setting reminders via voice for myself so it is pretty important it works for me.
Here is what I tried,
Restarting phone
Clearing App Cache
Clearing App Data
Force Stopping App
Re-Updating App
I have done all of that in multiple variations, I.E. clear cache, data, disable app, restart phone and then re-update and can not get this darn thing to work. My wife has the exact same phone and hers works just fine. My thought is another app on my phone is causing an issue with the Google App but finding out what app is where my knowledge ends. The only thing I can think of is to go through and delete apps one at a time until I can get it to work but that seems like a pain and I would like to know if there is a better way. I really appreciate any help I can get, thanks and have a good one.
Hello, I've had the unlocked Note 10+ for a few weeks and have had chronic issues since day one and not really sure what to do about it. A lot of the issues seem to get worse over time. Not sure if the problems are related, but it feels like it.
First, I have MMS issues mostly with any other app but the built in messaging app and even that one isn't perfect. Using Textra for instance will get me MMS timeouts sending and receiving and sometimes messages don't send or come in. This seems to happen with or without wifi enabled.
Next, I'm getting delayed notifications on many if not all apps. Notifications will some in here or there, then all of a sudden I'll get all the notifications for the day all at once. So suddenly my phone is going crazy receiving 50 notifications from different apps all at once. Related to that, if I get a notification and click on it to open the related app, often nothing happens. Then like an hour or more later the app I clicked on for the notification will pop open in the middle of doing something else. It will also get hung up installing or updating apps. A reboot will usually clear this but at some point it get's stuck again and will take hours to install an app if it does at all.
I've done all the usual things like disabling battery optimization for the apps in question, set the phone to high performance mode. Uninstalled and reinstalled things, cleared the cache partition, reset network settings, checked APN settings, even now have factory reset the phone, twice, got a new SIM card. Talked to Samsung and they tell me I need to mail it to their repair depot in Texas if I think it's hardware.
So no idea where to go with this. Seems hard to believe it's a hardware problem and sending the phone away for a week or more doesn't seem like a great option, especially when they might just send it back as it works OK for awhile after a reboot.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
After you reset the phone, did you install apps manually from store or let it go off a backup?
Also, just an idea but maybe the tower servicing you is acting up.. Unless it's been happening in multiple areas.

That is a good point, I did let it install automatically from the Google backup. It wasn't a true restore the way I would generally think of it as everything was installed from scratch, but maybe some settings are getting put back that are messed up. It happens out of the are as well, but I did talk to my carrier and they claimed the did some stuff at the tower that might help. I usually think that means they go get coffee then tell me to reboot the phone. Maybe this evening I'll try a fresh install with no restore. Sort of sucks of course as that's a lot more work to get going, but what the hell at this point. Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply. I have a note 10+ myself now unlocked and seeing some texting issues where I don't receive text or mms from Apple phones. Hasn't happened with Android to Android though.

So none of that reinstall stuff helped me. On texting I finally tried the Google Messages app with chat features enabled when it was leaked. Messages alone didn't work, but enabling RCS did and now it actually works better than ever. I hate giving up on textra, but I like the sheer speed of sending giant MMS messages now.
On the notifications thing, the thing that finally got that working right was disabling the Google app. As soon as I did that, all is working as expected. Of course that breaks some Google stuff, but at the moment that's what I have to do to make this work. Even upgrading to Android 10 betas didn't allow me to turn that back on.
HI Community,
after a really long hiatus i am back to ask you guys something. My account or phone is acting really weird, from time to time it is deleting contacts from my synced google contacts list. Up to that the same number is often getting blocked at the same time on other apps like whatsapp, snapchat and instagram at the same time. It is a really weird thing and had sometimes happened several times for one contact out of my list. If it would be only facebook apps i could somehow understand it but in some kind of way the contact is getting blocked through a full list of apps.
In time it has occured for at least 5-10 different contacts on my smartphone, it does often get unnoticed but sometimes i´m looking through my blocked list (which is normally empty) and i do see that contacts are getting blocked again. As Example i was writing yesterday with someone and this morning i wanted to check the chat and it went to neverland. One close look into my list it showed me that the number got blocked again and at the same time on instagram too.
Up to that i do had the problem last year already and switched to a new smartphone so it might go away. But nevermind the problem is still there. I´m really afraid that someone has access to my phone because i couldn´t understand how the contacts are getting deleted themselves. RN i´m running a xiaomi mi9, no custom rom or anything, before that i was running a Oneplus 5. It is a weird problem and i would be glad if you could get me some advices.
BR,
Maurice

Most likely someone hacked your google account and wants to drive you crazy instead of just deleting all stuff at once. Change your password on your google account and every account that uses the same password. Use a password manager like Bitwarden or KeepassDX. Both are open source. Use a strong password to access those.
If the problem persist completely reflash your ROM with miflash.

Hi Sepm thanks for the fast reply. I´ve changed my password on 8th of july the last time and even activated the 2nd device control so i can only log me in if i do accept it on my phone.
