I'M OUTDATED YO.
I gave Benjyp senior my awesome Kindle as an awesome Christmas present to my awesome dad from his awesome son so I will not be updating this guide any further!
As of now there is speculation that this guide DOES NOT WORK but I know there are many better alternatives to be found elsewhere!
I'm just gonna get right down to it.
If you don't feel comfortable doing this, please don't!

Here's what I did:
1. Locate your framework-res.apk file found at /system/framework/framework-res.apk
2. Copy onto your computer (I used root explorer to copy it to the "sdcard" and then jut plugged the Kindle in)
3. Download APK Mukti Tool
4. Place your framework-res.apk in the "place-apk-here-for-modding" folder
5. Run Script.bat
6. Press any key to continue
7. Set current project (25) (hint, choose framework-res.apk)
8. Extract apk (1)
9. Go to projects\framework-res.apk\res\drawable-mdpi and observe all of the JPEG image named "wallpaper_xx_xxxx"
10. Replace these files with either one image of your choosing or any other you may want
NOTE: I did not try removing or adding any images, only replacing, if you do let us know what happen!
11. Once you are done editing, go back to APK Multi Tool and "Zip apk" (3)
12. Select "System apk (retains signature)" (1)
13. Next, Zipalign apk (5)
14. Go back to the "place-apk-here-for-modding" folder and copy "unsignedframework-res.apk" elsewhere
15. Rename "unsignedframework-res.apk" to "framework-res.apk"
16. Copy this file back to /system/framework/, I copied the file to the sdcard via usb and used root explorer to copy into the folder (must mount r/w), but if you are more comfortable with ADB than I, just push it!
NOTE: I got a force close error around this point but nothing terrible happened! (I think!)
17. Change the permissions to rw-r--r--
18. Reboot!
19. Enjoy your new wallpapers!
*You are probably going to experience errors with commands not being recognized with the APK Multi Tool, you must add locations to the windows PATH (just google your error )*
Sorry for the exessive length, I was trying to be thorough!

Thank you very much! I got this to work with one slight hiccup and workaround:
Step 13 gave me an error "(Option 24)" and the unsignedframework-res.apk file disappeared. The workaround was to add:
step 12.5: Set current project (25) - Hint: select unsignedframework-res.apk
Then step 13 worked, no error, and the file did not disappear.
On what happened with the images I selected:
I left the very first image intact: wallpaper_01_2422 just in case it didn't like my images. I then replaced all the other images with other images of mine of the exact same filename. wallpaper_02_1953.jpg, wallpaper_03_6474.jpg and so on. I did add one new image, because their wallpaper_05_????.jpg is not there, I put my own in it's place. That image does not show. Apparently there is a filename index somewhere that specifies what images to show. Also, all the images are 840x1024, while the screen size is 600x1024. I'm not sure why the difference, as the images DO get cropped. Also, I accidentally forgot to resize one of my images and it was much larger than the display, so I only saw the center 600x1024. Lastly, my image image file sizes were about 20% of what they already had. So the original framework-res.apk file is 29.8Mb, while mine came out to ~12Mb
Bottom Line lessons learned:
1. There are 21 images, and without further changes, only 21 allowed.
2. The naming convention is "wallpaper_##_9999.jpg" where the ## is 01-04, 06-22. They skipped 05 for some reason. The 9999 is a number they designated, no apparent reason or pattern.
3. You must use the same filenames.
4. Your image can be any dimension, the image is centered and cropped for display.
5. If you want your entire image to show, crop them to 600x1024.
6. File size is unimportant.
7. Each time you turn off the screen, and it locks, the software picks the next image down the line. No shuffle or changing of the order. See the filename list below.

Nice work! It would be even better if someone created an app that did just that. However I'm pretty sure the custom rom devs are going to include that in their roms too.. again, good work because this will help speed up the process!

kind of surprised we don't have any custom roms yet.
Don't do what I did, and delete a bunch of the wallpapers without replacing them. Should have replaced them all with one image. Stuck at bootlogo. Not sure what to do from here, but in all fairness, I knew it could happen.
Edit: Any advice, despite the fact that I did not follow the instructions that were made to be clear as day, would be appreciated. If nothing else, Ill send it back tomorrow.

Oh no, that sucks! If you can get ADB running you can push a different framework-res.apk to the device, but I don't know how to do that. Does the Kindle have some sort of recovery mode??

Thanks! That was very helpful! I was concerned about the substantial change in the overall size of the .apk but I didn't even think about the image sizes being the cause.
Good! One other thing, doing this caused my Kindle to lose all remembrance of all things signed in. I had to sign in to google and in to amazon again, including registering the Kindle again. Twice... :/

---------- Post added at 08:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:45 PM ----------
Sorry for the double post, but I noticed after a text search through the unpacked framework-res.apk that each of the wallpapers is listed in this form:
Name: res/drawable-mdpi/wallpaper_14_6752.jpg
SHA1-Digest: w4mPNGSdoaKDPQW9Jf6HI7Jpegk=
Google reveals that SHA1-Digest is similar to an MD5 code that basically verifies the contents of the file. It would seem that simply changing or editing these entries would limit or add more wallpapers.
So are you saying that we have to have 21 wallpapers no matter what or it will not work? Guess if we want just one wallpaper then we have to put the same one on named the different ways?
Sent from my EVO with Tapatalk
You can put 21 copies of the same image though I gather you can delete all but one and replace that one with one you like. I just replaced all of them with cropped/resized images from my own photography collection (and one of the erupting volcano in Iceland).
//Tapatalk.EVO3D//
So I tried to replace all the wallpapers with just a single wallpaper..it didn't work. It put my device into a bootloop that I couldn't get out of. I had to use parts of the Unbrick thread to get my device to boot again after pushing my original framework-res.apk back to the device.
Trying a few other options now. Anyone know how to sign the apk after putting just a single wallpaper in it? I think the signature is what caused it to get all screwed up.
-Eric
So I got it working by replacing all the wallpapers with a single image but named the same way as the other 21 wallpapers. I still had to go back and get temp root again through adb and set the permissions from adb because as soon as I copied the apk to the folder the device reset on me and started boot looping. It is working fine now but still would be nice to replace with just a single image to reduce the size of the apk, or better yet once we can just do it on the device like all the other devices.
This IS a rather silly implementation that we have to work around.
//Tapatalk.KindleFire//
Someone posted a different solution in the General forum that I have not yet attempted. Had to do with changing the permissions on a package somewhere as I recall.
This method does work with 6.2. I tried it with another APK tool and bricked my Kindle. I think the problem is the other one doesn't "sign" the apk. Putting the right framework-res.apk back in place fixed it.
I had trouble with the GUI interface and changing out the framework.apk out. I played around with adb and I figured out how to due it via command prompt:
You have to root again so that "adb remount" works
Locate android-sdk/platform-tools
Move the new "framework.apk" a new folder to C:\framework
Insert commands without " "
"adb kill-server"
"adb devices" (isn't necessary but I like to make sure that my device is connected)
"adb remount" (changes system files to rewrite)
"adb push /framework/framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk"
Then restart Kindle Fire and it'll work! I don't know if this will work for others, but it worked for me after hours of playing around
It works great ! thanks for this guide, instead of making all different wallpaper, I made it all the same wallpaper but of course with different name each. Now my kindle shows 1 image only haha I guess I have to settle with this lol

Is there anyway to change the second boot screen?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3133153&postcount=91
prolly not talking about splash2, but the Android animation and logo after splash1 & splash2. But i could be wrong.
Theres a folder in framework-res.apk/assets/images that seems to contain the images used in the second boot screen. I haven't had a chance to play with it to see if anything happened. I guess I'll try now and get back to you in 10 minutes. =]
ok so far, I was able to change the second boot screen image without using fastboot, and just modifying the android_320x480.png itself in framework-res/assets/images, but the animation goes out of whack when trying to replace boot_robot.png and boot_robot_glow.png with other images. I'm going to keep at it to see if i can get anywhere.
Hi, i edited the boot_robot_glow.png in PS and it shows up fine when booting
EDIT: I've edited the android_320x480.png but when it boots it shows the original then flicks to the modified one
EDIT: needed to replace boot_robot.png in res/drawable aswell!
Attached images aren'y quite aligned, moves about when booting :S
EDIT: Everything's aligned now

would you mind telling us how to replace the files?
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk to your computer,
rename it to framework-res.apk.zip
open framework-res.apk.zip
copy all 3 files into /assets/images
copy boot_robot.png into /res/drawable (in assets/images aswell)
(Uploaded my new boot_robot_glow to use with above files)

Cool... Thanks guys!
Used your images and created a burning Droid for the boot up image.
Adapted the code slightly to run the commands on the phone itself then copied the zip file off the SD card through usb.
Thanks
any pitfalls?
does the image have to be a certain size before 'push' ing it back to the phone?
I like your design so Ill start there, thanks for sharing the work, people have been speculation on how to change this and you did it.
bhang
I'd play it safe and keep everything the size it is, although if you have the dev BL then go for it. It will probably start from the same location on the screen but extend further across and down
This will surround the that icon better than the round glow i made this just now. Looks better just change the hue and make it red if you like.
I can confirm that this work fine on RC30 and ADP1 (there is no reason why it shouldn't but I bet someone will ask...).
So i went ahead and tried to modify the images that make up the animation, got it all repackaged, and pushed it onto the phone. I rebooted and my animation came up like a charm, looking pretty cool, but it got stuck there and the animation kept running. I tried rebooting it several times and then restored it using a backup which fixed it. I am still trying to figure out what i did wrong. Could someone take a look?
Prerequisites: Adobe Photoshop, Android Phone, Download and Extract "Bootanimation Setup"
https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D6913056_8382954_648643
1. Download "Root Explorer" from the Android Market and allow SuperUser access
2. Open the application and go to system->customize->resource->and locate the file that says "bootanimation.zip"
3. On the top of the screen, there should read a toggle that says "Mount R/W". Click it, to where it says "Mount R/O". (Turns on the option to write to your Root)
4. Copy your current bootanimation to your computer. (We're going to use it as a template)
5. Now put this aside for a while. Copy the "Export Layers to Files - (Fast PNG version)" script to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Presets\Scripts
6. Get a .gif or .avi file and open it with Adobe Photoshop. (Make sure it is the final copy of what you want and must have a frame size of 540X960)
7. Now in Photoshop, go to, File->Scripts->Export Layers to Files(Fast PNG)
8. Locate the file you downloaded earlier to your computer from your phone. Extract it and go into the "android" folder.
9. Go to wherever you saved the exported layers, and rename every frame with accordance the frames in the "android" folder so it matches.
10. Put all the renamed frames in the "android" folder and delete the old ones.
11. Use WinRar to zip them up again. BUT DO NOT COMPRESS THE .ZIP FILE, OTHERWISE THE PHONE WILL NOT RECOGNIZE IT. It compreses by default, make sure you untick that option.
12. Go back to your phone and locate the old "bootanimation.zip" and rename it to "bootanimation.bak". (To back it up in case of bootloop)
13. Copy the the new "bootanimation.zip" into the same location as your original bootanimation and reboot phone.
14. Enjoy!!
ahh thanks, didn't know the zip had to be uncompressed. I was having issues. Thanks!
ive never seen this done before but can we use videos as bootanimations?
If you follow these steps, it helps you convert a video into a bootanimation. Using an actual video would not be possible.

Perhaps it is a hidden folder?
Rgds,
OK, got t.
Two questions:
- is there any limit file size for the zip?
- i made a zip file with 8 images, it goes super-fast in showing them and then a black screen until Sense starts. Any way to make it slower?
Rgds,
I will update this tutorial on Saturday with adding sound and the settings file. Please hold on till then. But for now look for a text file, don't remember it off the top of my head. But if you open it, you can edit the file a change the frames per second, and amount of times it repeats. But the higher the amount, the more it lags during the first play. But like I said, wait until Saturday!

Rgds,
When I initially looked in the resource folder there was no bootanimation.zip but maybe because I already had flashed a custom ROM? So I used AndroidFlasher1.8.0 posted in another thread to load a new boot animation which is a lot easier. How do I change the boot animation for powering down the phone?

15 means 15 fps (frames per second), change it lower like 10. But the lower it gets smoothnes decreases..
Quote from another post:
explanation of the desc file:
540 960 15
p 1 1 android
Width Height Frame-rate
p Loop Pause Folder
first line: width height frames-rate
second line: p just stands for play. the first number says how often to loop the animation. The second number says for how long to pause the animation after every loop. the string is the name of the folder we created above.

Rgds,
hey guys does i need to root my phone to do all of that ? sorry for the stupid qs but i`m very interested to get rid of the stupid vodafone logo
This seems pretty neat! I'll have to try to come up with a cool boot animation.
After going through many of the different lock ring tutorials, I have noticed that they all have something in common: They are too user intensive and prone to user-error. Sure, once you have it down, it's easy. But it can be daunting to start out.
All I have done here is make it EXTREMELY user friendly.
No more copying and pasting into ZIPs and APKs!!
No more fishing around the Templates tree in M10 Tools!!!
Simply run the BATCH file, get a cup of coffee, and then flash!
Here are the detailed instructions... (also in the Read-Me)
0. Make sure you have installed Microsoft .net 4 framework on your machine.
http://www.microsoft.com/net
1. Unpack User_Friendly_Lock_Screen_Kit_v1.04.zip (Where you put the file does not matter anymore!!!! For example purposes, I will use C:\Lock_Ring_Kit)
2. Copy your image into C:\Lock_Ring_Kit and name it LockRing.png
Image requirements:
a. Must be a PNG file
b. Image must be 271 x 270 pixels (If it is not the right size, it will come out looking funny (270x271 WILL NOT WORK)
c. The image must be rotated 180 degrees and reflected horizontally.
3. Double-click "LockRingCreator.bat" and let it do its thing.
4. Flashable.zip was just created for you. Rename it whatever you wish.
5. Copy it to the root of your SD card, boot into recovery, and flash
The BATCH file cleans up after itself. You don't have to go through and delete any of the old files. If you want to make another one, just change out the PNG and run it again. My desktop is pretty old, and the BATCH takes about 2 minutes to run.
I have only tested this on Synergy, but I assume that it will work on similar ROMs. I also believe that it will work on the Thunderbolt (can someone confirm that?)
All files are included in the ZIP.

jmaher1023 - I used his process as a template. All that my BATCH file does is automate his process
Flemmard and DiamondBack2010- I have no idea what M10 Tools does or how much trouble they had to go through to make it, but I do know that it is the heart and soul of this whole operation.
Confirmed ROMS

I'll try this out, thanks alot dude.
One thing you didn't mention is that the images still need to be 271 X 270 or they won't look right. Other than that this works on Gingeritis3d. (And if I want to say I was the one to create the lock ring I might edit the script) lol. Very good work though man. Very useful tool. Have you been able to find where the images are located for the Amazing sense skin? I haven't found those yet and want to use that semi transparent tool bar at the bottom but dont want to use a different launcher
somehow i cant get it to work ive followed every step but when i run the
"LockRingCreator.bat" it just goes into cmd really fast and nothing happens

What operating system are you running? Do you have Microsoft .net 4 framework installed on your system?
When it is working properly, after you run the BATCH file you should see a command window running various commands for a little while.

did you make sure the file was named LockRing and was a png format? Something else to consider is that if you named a png image lockring.png then when it looks for the file it will see lockring.png.png so make sure it is a png format image but only name it LockRing.Hope this helps

Thanks brudda. I was only kidding about renaming the script. I knew where to find it. I can run a couple other ROMS if you want. I got nothing better to do tonight. Let me know which ones you want to add to your list and i'll do a couple.
just downloaded will test in a minute on mik3d beta1, but in the read me file, no sizes for pic you intend to use (just a heads up).
Forgot to mention I am running Gingeritis 3D Beta VIII. And I do have .net 4 installed. Maybe thats why i didn't have any issues. Also I didn't even read the read me file. oops.

dropbox has been the easiest, havent hit a limit yet, except storage space..... which i upgraded to eliminate that problem, all the others i have tried i cant upload anything because they limit file sizes that you can upload, where as dropbox just syncs with your desktop, takes awhile but works.
just tried it to make a flashable zip and it did the same thing as other guy, flashed the cmd prompt super quick, no zip created.....
edit:
wait i just checked windows update and it has 2 updates for net framework 4 lol
nice i was using the copy paste way. i use one like this for the 3d(that was made by triscuit1983.
still didnt work for me, oh well back to m10 editor... thanx anyways

Make sure that you unzip the files to C:\Lock_Ring_Kit. When I install them somewhere else ("C:\Lock_Ring_Kit______"), I get the same error you do. However, the BATCH file did what it was supposed to do. Since C:\Lock_Ring_Kit did not exist, it created it, and there is a "Working" folder as well as a "Flashable.zip" there. But, since the original files were not in the right place, it is useless.
When the command prompt just flashes, what that means is that M10Tools are not having a chance to run. The only explanation I have for that as of right now is that the files are not in the right location. Also make sure that you named the image LockRing.png.
I'll see about making the batch file spit out an error code, but it might be a few days before I can get around to it. I'll keep yall posted.
This is a thread to show you how to customize your 3.0 lockscreen with whatever picture you want i take no credit at all for this all credit goes to McLabia over at the evo3d forum he created this for the evo 3D so i tryed it for the shift and it worked! so here are the instructions enjoy and remember make a nandroid backup and it is not my fault if anything happens to your phone...
*First of all you want to grab m10 tools ( You can find the link for m10 tools right here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1218927)
Once you have that downloaded, open it up. Now you want to get the image ready that youre wanting as your wallpaper. To make things easier on yourself, make three copies. The image needs to be set EXACTLY this way
1. Image needs to be resized to EXACTLY 540x960. You can do this in any image editor.
2. Flip the image upside down.
3. The images MUST be PNG format.
Once you have this done, you want to grab the IdleScreen_Weather.apk that is listed at the bottom of this thread. Once you get the apk, you want to open up m10 and click load file. Navigate and select the IdleScreen_Weather.apk.
Once this loads, you want to click the tab that says m10 Files. At the bottom of the screen, youll see where it says Decode Images, make sure you check that box.
You want to double click the Lockscreen_weather_bg.m10. It will ask if you want to decompile it. Click yes. At this point, youll be brought to the next tab which is Editor.
From here you want to expand until you see Textures. Under there you will see three spots labeled Texture. Click that and it will bring up an image to the right. Right click on this image and click "Show in Explorer". You will see three png files in here. You want to replace each one with the images you created earlier. This is important though. Make sure you copy the name of each file youre replacing EXACTLY. Im not responsible for any errors you make on renaming.
Once you get all three of the images replaced, go back to start and then save .apk Make sure to use the same name.
Now you can either push this through ADB or just place the apk onto your SD card. If youre using a root explorer, which is how I do it cause its just easier, you want to copy the apk into the system/app folder. You want to make a backup incase you run into any issues. Once you get your edited apk inside of the system/app navigate to the file and long press and go to permissions then set them as follows.
Read Write Execute
Owner: X X 0
Group: X 0 0
Others: X 0 0
Once your permissions are fixed, you want to reboot. When you reboot go to personalize, Lock screen, and then choose weather and click apply and thats it you have just created your very own sense 3.0 lock screen hope all went well if anything happens to go wrong PM me and i will try and walk you threw it.
how do you open the m10edit tool, downloaded fine, extracted files and there she sits ?

This is tutorial of HOW TO make your own Custom boot Animations:
First you must know, is your phone allow you to change bootanimation.?
If yes then go further & if NO then just follow this - Link
You need to flash CWM_CustomBootanimation_421_Enable.zip first to enable it from above links thread.:good:
Now, Read the below contents carefully.
Making Android open-source is probably the smartest thing Google has ever done with their platform. Putting control in the hands of thousands of dedicated developers has left us with some fairly spectacular results. If you know what you’re doing, there’s a way to customize just about every part of Android.
Even the boot animation can be changed if you know how. If you’re tired of that boring start-up that came with stock, fret not because it can be changed. This isn’t the most complex hack (we’re not changing how Android handles multitasking). However, it is a nice option to customize another part of your phone. On a purely practical level, we’re a little sick of hearing the noisy boot-up noise for MIUI. This guide can help you change your animation so it’s exactly what you want.
The Android boot animation is stored within one very special file named bootanimation.zip inside the phone’s memory. Change the .zip, change the animation. It’s as simple as that.
What’s not simple is how Android stores bootanimation.zip. For some unknown reason, Android actually keeps two copies of the animation file. One is stored at /data/local and the other at /system/media.
The difference between these locations is minor. The /data/local copy does not require root access in many mobile, but our S4 need root access. The phone also uses this animation before the other. The other one in /system/media does require root. However, installing a new animation to /system/media means that it will survive a factory reset. It’s a trade-off.
Regardless of which location you decide to use for your new boot animation, be absolutely sure to back up the original files. When replacing bootanimation.zip, keep a copy of the original .zip file saved to your computer. To be absolutely sure, you may want to make a Nandroid backup before doing any modifications.
How It Works
This section is intended to inform those who might wish to make their own start-up animation. If you have no interest in doing so, feel free to skip ahead. Understanding exactly how bootanimation.zip works is not necessary to install a new one.
If you copy bootanimation.zip to your computer and unzip it, inside will be a collection of files. There will be folders labeled part0, part1, part2 and so on. Also included will be desc.txt.
For our MIUI ROM, the boot animation was split into two parts. Part 0 had a huge list of image files which it used for the animation. Part 1 simply held the final screen at the end of the animation.
Desc.txt contains extremely simple instructions telling the phone how to run the animation. The first line lists the width, height, and frame rate of the animation. An Example: 480 800 24 means to run the animation at 480×800 resolution and 24 frames per second.
The next two lines refer to the animation files. “P” invokes a part folder. The next number tells the phone how many times to play that part of the animation. So our second line “p 1 0 part0” means that the animation files in the part0 folder will play once. If we put zero, then the animation will loop until fully booted. The most notable use of looping animations is CyanogenMod 7’s spinning blue arrow.
The second number in that line is the pause time. This tells the phone how long it should pause DURING/BEFORE/AFTER/ the animation. Pause time is measured in frames, so 24 would be 24 frames of pause at 24 frames per second. Thus it pauses for one second. Our 0 means the phone pauses for zero frames (no time).
Creating Your Own Boot Animation
The first step is drawing the animation. Create a series of images which form one continuous animation. The frames must be labeled by increasing numbers, e.g. 000.png and 001.png and so on. Each part of the animation goes into a separate folder, starting with part0 and part1 and so on.
Finally open Notepad and write out a few lines of instructions. The first line should be the resolution and frame rate of the animation. The resolution must match that of your device. If you don’t know what that resolution is, see this page. The frame rate should match the one in the original desc.txt.
The next lines dictate the parts. Each part folder requires one line of instruction. Write out the numbers for each part of the animation. Once finished, save the file as desc.txt.
The final step is creating the .zip file. Select all the part folders and desc.txt. Right click on the files and select Send To > Compressed folder. Windows should quickly create the new file. Be sure to name it bootanimation.zip and nothing else.
Various Methods of Changing the Boot Animation:
1) Installation by ROM
Although there is a universal procedure for changing the animation, certain ROMs and themes come with their own rules for flashing. The MIUI ROM lets you change the boot animation within its Themes app. You can download custom animations within the app, no modifications needed.
2) Installation by Flashing
Other themes come as .zip files which can be flashed within ClockworkMod. This is much easier and definitely recommended. When downloading a theme from XDA or elsewhere, be sure to check the page. It might be a flashable .zip.
To flash a .zip file, simply copy it to the SD card.
Reboot into recovery mode.
Now go to “Install .zip” and choose the file from your card. CWM should run the file.
Reboot once finished.
3) Installation via ADB
Obviously, this method assumes that you have the Android SDK installed. It’s sort of necessary. If you feel the need to change the boot animation in a really cool programmer way, here’s how.
3.1) Download an animation and rename it to bootanimation.zip.
3.2) Copy the .zip file to the directory where the SDK is installed and within the platform-tools folder. So it’s (installation directory)android-sdkplatform-tools. Paste the file here.
3.3) Plug in the phone and turn on USB debugging.
3.4) Open Command Prompt and type “cd (installation directory)android-sdkplatform-tools“.
3.5) Type “adb remount” to mount /system as read-write. You should get a success message.
3.6) Enter in “adb shell” then “su” to double-check that you’re in root mode.
3.7) Navigate to the animation folder by typing “cd /system/customize/resource“.
3.8) Rename the original to the PC by entering “mv bootanimation.zip bootanimation.bak”. Now the original is there if you want to restore it, but the system won’t use it.
3.9) Type “adb push bootanimation.zip /system/customize/resource” to copy the file over. That’s it!
Note: Here we are assuming that the file bootanimation.zip is located at “/system/customize/resource“. In case the file is located at some other location on your phone, replace “/system/customize/resource” by that specific file path.
To change the boot audio:
1) Find an mp3. It should be relatively short as most phones don’t take much time to turn on.
2) Rename the mp3 to bootaudio.mp3.
3) Copy it to the SD card.
4) Now open Super Manager and copy the mp3 to /system/media.
TADAAAAAAAAAAA...now you can make your own bootanimation.zip file.:good:

i flash the CWM_CustomBootanimation_43_Enable.zip and CWM_CustomBootanimation_Test.zip, now i can see the test bootanimation. But when i tried to flash the custom zip( follow your tutorial about how to make a own zip step by step), it said" aborted",strange. So i replaced bootanimation.zip in CWM_CustomBootanimation_Test.zip with my custom zip, and flashed it. It worked, though the resolution wasn't concise. i changed the resolution (1080 1920) and flashed it again, this time, there was nothing during the device booting( totally dark).

okay, ive had a look at it.. and i was guessing right.. its compressed.. extract all the folders and files, then pack the extracted content down again, but make sure its with "save and replace only"-method.. that should do it
and to be honest, you might want to shorten down the animation.. there is lots of files that wont be showed.. for instance, the last Generic2 folder will never be showed.. just saying
cheers
