I just noticed that the G-Tablet is once again showing up in the market.
I can see a separate device for each ROM I had installed in my tablet.
The app compatibility appears to be shown correctly.
Hmmm, my gTablet is still not appearing in the "My Devices" list on the web Market, nor as a selectable device under any app. Running Flashback 10.1, although this problem first appeared when it was running 9.0.
It didn't show up for me on BoS, but it does on flashback 10.1. I can confirm that it works for me.
My Beasty gTab just showed up in the market. Also seeing about 5 previous ROM installs.
Yup mine was not showing yeaterday with FB 10, flashed FB10.1 and today it shows. Along with about 10 other gtabs? from all the different roms! LOL
I sure wish google would give us the option to remove devices. I have a HTC hero from over a year ago, I'd like to axe with all those bogus gtabs.
OP, Nice find!
I'm now seeing my GTablet on the web Android Market again, in all its ROM incarnations. I wonder if Viewsonic worked this out with Google, or Google just re-enabled all old device histories?

I posted about this in an earlier thread. Now google thinks i have 5 G tabs lol. Each with a different rom.

Market knows G Tab, thinks it shouldn't have Honeycomb
This only just happened for me. Today is the first time mine has shown up since I reflashed Flashback 10.1. My problem is that Market thinks it is so smart, it won't let me install apps that it doesn't think are compatible, like the new Time Warner cable app (for Xoom and Galaxy). Does anyone know a good way to sideload apps from the market?
Have you tried the improved full market fix in order to get access to all apps in the Market? On newer ROMs, I have found that only steps 6 - 8 need to be performed.
[STICKY][FIX] Full market (improved market fix) on G Tablet
yes. now mine is showing !!
I too am now able to once again download and update apps on my G-Tab from the Google Android Market - yea! Looks like Google fielded enough complaints from G-Tab owners that they finally decided that adding the device was in everyone's best interest?

G-Tab running Vegan Tab 5.1.1
I now have Skype video, Amazon cloud, and Kindle working! You must uninstall apps then reinstall them.

I did the Market fix and was able to get access to a somewhat working Market.
I signed on with my main account where my Nexus One's apps are also tied to but when I went to 'My Apps' in the new Market screen, there were only two listed... No Signal Alert Pro and Battery Indicator Pro.
They're both paid apps, and I can't find any of the others through searching for them either.
LauncherPro is missing, as is the other 112 apps that I should be able to find. Angry Birds is missing too, even though I never downloaded it in the first place.
Is there any way to get around this?
EDIT:
I'm also unable to download AppBrain through the browser or through my computer. I might be able to get some more of the ones I want back if I could.
Reapply the market fix here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=845175 and follow it step by step dont skip anything. You should get most of your apps back.
I still use beta 3 and fix market already,
I had to do this as well , but this morning the market back to having nothing .
I refix market again and again, still got nothing in market,
Who can help me.thanks

It worked!
Well, sort of. I got all my paid apps back, that's really good! But, all the rest of them, my free downloads, are gone still (I was looking in 'My Apps').
I just searched for LauncherPro and that's there.
So, there are some free apps in the Market (though, I downloaded this one to my Nexus One, and since they're on the same account, shouldn't it show up there too)?
YouTube also doesn't show up in 'My Apps' either, and it is obviously on both my phone and my GTablet.
You have to remember your Nexus One is Market approved the G Tablet is not Market approved as of yet.

Yeah, and that's a bummer...
Anyway, during the last few hours, I was able to get Appbrain onto my GTablet using the Market (searching for it actually made it come up).
Then, using their website, I added all the non-GPS-or-Phone-type apps to my new 'GTablet' list and they downloaded and successfully installed (this was after doing a single reboot)-- they all also showed on the Market too.
I got LauncherPro back (too bad, I might have to pay again to get the Pro features back) and most of the other cool apps I had before (minus the phone-related-or-GPS-location apps).
Except for:
TV.com (as someone else mentioned; too bad I loved watching this on my Nexus One)
TubeMate (the regular site works well enough through Skyfire )
Nexus Revamped Live Wallpaper (I'll find something cooler, like in that thread around here)
and that's it. Everything mostly works (had to remove a few that just gave black screens, only 3 of them) and you can see my app list right here:

I picked up my xoom earlier tonight and have been playing with it but I cant seem to find the YouTube app. It says it is installed when I go in settings, but it doesn't show up in the app list. Am i alone on this one?
thanks!
Make sure you click "All" in apps (upper left corner).
If you're in "My Apps", you won't see YouTube, as well as many other apps that are pre-installed.

Did you buy your Xoom from UK? I bought mine from US and I also don't see featured apps for tablets.
About Youtube, it didn't show up under the apps for me too at first, but when I connected to internet and added a google account it magically appeared. It still shows only 8kb in system settings, so this is normal.

Sorry to go off topic but where did you get your zoom from?
Do a factory reset. This fixed it for several of us.
Settings -> privacy -> factory data reset
Missing YouTube Also
I had to exchange for a new Xoom yesterday. I bought it from Costco and cannot get the YouTube app to download. It shows that it is in my system, but it isn't under the apps.
The YouTube app did work on the original Xoom I had, but I can't get it to work on this one. I'm on my 3rd factory reset.
Side note, my 'Books' don't work either...like EL_G15, it says 'Application is not Installed'
They're not missing. They're corrupted. If you go to manage apps you'll see that they'll show 0kb size. Not sure what else we tried but I know specifically that after I rooted mine the youtube and books app were at 0kb. Factory reset fixed it.
On my Xoom the Youtube app works fine but still shows 0kb under settings menu, so I believe this is normal.
i purchased mine from eBay. Its a US unit that the supplier imported. I've tried 3 factory resets, but still no youtube.
Just to add - I just did a Factory reset on a Xoom that the YouTube app worked properly, now it has the same problem as my new one.

All of the paid apps In my android market are no longer showing :[ I have done every type o resets besides a full factory reset. They were showing earlier today, my device is unrooted and I live in the US. Any suggestions?
Are any of your paid apps on THIS list? If they're not they might not be showing up because they might not be compatible with tablets. If some are on that list then contact google from the 'help' section at the bottom of the market page from a desktop browser.

I have exactly the same problem the only difference is that mine is not rooted, everything is stock with all OTA's applied. I can see paid apps but cannot install them.
same for me this morning, lost all paid apps from the market. I'm running stock 2nd update in the uk.... ant even see them....
I'm getting something very similar.
Whenever I try to access the market page of a paid app I get a pop-up message saying "Sorry, details page for the requested item could not be found" and if I press OK I get dumped back to the previous page.
However if I press the back button the page I want displays OK and I can install the app.
A quick google for the error message I'm seeing brings up a few reports from Xoom users seeing the same thing so I think Google may have b0rked the honeycomb market and hopfully will be unb0rking it soon.
http://www.xoomforums.com/forum/mot...oad-random-apps-receive-sorry-error-help.html
It's something on googles end as it's not our devices. It looks to me as if they are doing something with the servers that hold the market data. Let's hope they are upgrading something, and adding new features.
There's a good thread on the problem over in the XDA Xoom section
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1057250 which is suggesting that it's a problem with a new version of Google Market (1.0.17) and wifi only devices.
Probably Google has forgotten to add tablet without SIMs to the list of devices allowed to access paid apps on the market (they had a habit of doing something similar for new phones a while ago).
If someone has a rooted device and market enabler installed they could try using that to trick Market into thinking you're a valid device but I have no idea how successful it would be.

Kernal: 2.6.36-P6210UEKL1-CL583281 [email protected] #3
Build: HTJ85B.UEKL1 P6210UEKLI
The sitch:
I'm a US citizen with a US device (I bought through Amazon.com and had shipped to me through a third party). However, I am currently living in Japan on a military installation. When searching for an app on the Android Market, 95% of the time the return is: No results found--even if what I'm searching for is free. I'm assuming the 5% app result (even though it's never what I'm looking for) is because of a similar app posted on the Japanese market (I could be wrong). Using a median to get through to the market (GetJar, etc.), I am able to download free apps, but I cannot buy anything that costs money. I finally emailed the Android App Customer Service and was told it was because of my IP address.
The kicker:
First and foremost, how is it my IP when I have reset my device to factory default and used a US VPN before I logged into the market and was still unable to access apps? But even putting aside that point, here is some food for thought:
I have owned both a Nook Color and Kindle Fire and, after rooting them, was able to access the Android Market just fine. All within the IP address I am currently using.
I have friends here who own Android phones (bought here on the military base through a Japanese phone company) and an Android US tablet. On all three devices they are able to access the market without any problems. Additional info: Friend's devices are SIRIUS α IS06 [au.kddi.com/english/seihin/ichiran/smartphone/is06/index.html] x2, and a Toshiba Thrive 10”; none of friend's devices are rooted.
I had above friend log into my Android Market account on her phone and buy a few apps for me, and she was able to.
Another friend of mine here owns the same Galaxy Tab I do and can also not access the Android Market.
So what is going on? How, exactly, does the market determine your location. And how do I fix it? MarketEnabler and MarketUnlocker don’t work on WiFi only devices.
Not a fix, but have you tried accessing the market from a computer, and purchasing the apps through it? If the computer can access all the apps, you may be able to choose your tab as the device you wish to install them on. Not a fix, but maybe a temporary work-around.
Sent from my GT-P6210 using Tapatalk
Also, what are a couple of the apps? Could be that the market doesn't recognize them as compatible with the 7+ (due screen resolution, lack of telephony, etc.) List a couple apps, and i can see if i have access to them. Good luck!

The 3 latest apps I've tried are gReader Pro, HD Widgets, and Tabletbar Hider (root). My friend was able to buy the first 2 for me on my account with her phone, but Tabletbar Hider is incompitable so it doesn't show up. When trying to download it from my PC, my friend's newly added phone says "This item is not compatible with your device" while my tablet gives the above error. I've had the market issue with every single app I've tried.
Sent from my GT-P6210 using Tapatalk
Yep, I have access to all three from my 7+. Strange that the options for your devices are grayed out. Hopefully somewhere here will have more to offer.

I forgot to add that if I can get an outside link to the marketplace app, if it's free I can download it fine. I can even browse within the market and download free apps. I cannot search for apps (free or pay) and I cannot buy apps even with an outside link into the marketplace. <--this is all on my tablet. My PC can find apps, I just can't download/buy them because it says I have no compatible devices.

I logged into my friend's marketplace account and was unable to access the market properly. I don't know exactly what I'm supposed to be doing in Devices and Trouble Downloading. My device shows up, as well as an old Nook Color and Kindle Fire, along with my friend's newly added phone. I am now able to buy things from my PC on the marketplace using my friend's phone, but only if it's not tablet specific (which sucks, 'cause I own a tab). As far as trouble downloading, I can download things if they're free. Oddly enough, I can't search for free from my tab's market, but I can download free. If I need to search for something I have to use alternate means (GetJar, Browser, etc.). I can not buy anything, though. And that's especially frustrating since a few of the things I needed to buy are tablet only apps that couldn't be bought from PC market (using friend's phone as device).
Also, my friend tried using her Toshiba Thrive with my market account and was unable to. So I wrong, her tablet can't access the US market. Not even using her own account can she access it. So it seems to be a tablet specific issue. But only "real" tablets, because like I said in a prior post, after rooting a Nook Color and Kindle Fire I was able to download, install, and use the marketplace without issue.

I seem to be having this strange issue with google market.
if I go to my apps, I only (according to play store) 1 app installed which is nit the case. Secondly, play store seems to think I have never purchased an app, eg, I have purchased titanium back up pro, but the store is yet again asking me to buy it at 4.99 where as it would usualy state 'purchased' and download. Secondly on trying to repurchase it states there was an error with the wallet, i then receive 2 emails a charge mail, and a refund message.
when i log in to the the play store on the web, it clearly shows apps that i have purchased in my account history with no price and the word 'purchased' but if I navigate manually, using search, it will state a price and ask me to pay
also i am using the same google account, i only have one.
below is an image of the error
Same problem, after cleaning cache problem disappears with bringing new one, f*&king blank page! No installed apps nor purchased asking me to buy it again. "All apps" tab is empty too. Damn wtf is wrong lol..
what rom are you using buddy?
I have the same problem.
The Google Play Market support could not help yet.
I think it does not matter what ROM on phone, this is a google play bug.
Yea i suppose, but looking on google play, its not under any known issues :/ looks like it may be a while before its fixed.
I contacted the customer support.
They could not solve the problem yet
it seems that the lost connection between Google account and purchased apps.
I sent some screenshots in Google Play support and I hope that the problem will be solved.
I advise you to contact Google Play support: [email protected]
I think if there is a lot of posts about this issue, it will speed up the solution
phew glad to see I"m not the only one. I'm hit with this as well on THREE different androids (one of whom is stock unrooted so its not my fault rofl).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24058132
I have also realized I am not getting application updates. its rare I go 3 days without a single update, maybe its because it thinks I have not purchased any apps lol
Any chances that your phone market local data is not yet synced properly with the google play ? I have seen that my apps (free or paid) is not listed out immediately right after I do a full wipe or flash a new rom with full wipe. But it will eventually show up itself after awhile with data/wifi connections. I personally didn't know how long it required to sync back but eventually they will appear back when I access the market again after I restored my personal data back.
By the way, did you guys try to check your account and performs a manual market sync in the Account settings section ?
yes yes and yes we've tried all the normal market fixes, downgraded market, uninstalled updates etc.
This issue is visible on multiple droids I own (including one unrooted stock) and on web market as well, its definitely server side
I'll check in on this thread too lol. I'm in exactly the same position. No response from google.

I have them on my phone and not my tablet! I think it might be related to market version whether or not they disappear device side. Can only assume the newest versions of market/store download the list from the server, rather than locally. Play.google.com doesn't work for me either.
