Rename your bootanimation.zip to the current sanim.zip in the media file and replace......Bing....bag....boom....done, new boot animation!

I just flashed this ROM tonight and it is super fast. I am really liking it quite a bit. I am amazed at how much faster it has made switching between home screens, the app drawer, opening apps, etc. Even downloading from the Market seemed faster. So far I like this ROM the best and I have tried several.
One problem I have come across that I am not able to figure out. The first thing I installed was Titanium Backup. I gave it Superuser access, naturally, and then went to batch restore missing apps. The very first app it tried to restore the progress stayed at 0 / 181 (total number of apps I'm restoring) and nothing seemed to happen. After several minutes I backed out of that screen and at that point it came up and said that TB has been granted Superuser rights. Usually that comes up when opening the app. When this happens only the first app that was being restored is actually restored. Even though the progress never finished, one app did get restored. I tried just restoring one single app and the same thing happened. No progress, canceled after a few minutes, and the app still restored.
I wiped everything a second time and reflashed the ROM and the same thing is happening again. I am following the correct instructions on flashing the ROM and it is the same as all others I have done. I have not run into this before. I am not sure what else to try. I have updated TB and also updated Superuser. Does anyone have any suggestions on this issue? If I can only restore one app at a time, it will take me quite a long time to get them all back.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I deleted the sound file based on the location you provided and it still plays. I even previewed it before deleting it and it was the right one. Is the file in another location by chance? I found it under system/darkysound as you mentioned.

I found the fix to the Titanium Backup issue. According to their help, if there are problems with restoring apps or with TB freezing, they suggest changing the 'App Processing Mode' (under preferences) feature to Auto Indirect. I made this change and now TB is working properly. Not sure if others had to do the same thing but this is the first time I have had to mess with any settings in TB.
That's the only place I've found it

Hello everyone! Here is something new for you all to play with. This is the TouchWiz 4.0 Launcher on the SGSII for KC1 and KD1. THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH MY DEODEXED BUILDS. Download the respective zip for your build and flash through clockworm mod recovery (you read me right!). The KC1 version CAN be flashed over the lockscreen mod from my other thread.

Make sure you're running my dedoexed build. This will NOT work on the official T-mobile release.

Oh, so to install this i would just have to put it in root of sd, then go to flash from sd, choose and flash it? ( do i need to wipe anything?)

Flashed with cwm and running fine. I like this version of tw much better. It's less Iphoney--It doesn't have those colored boxes behind the app icons in the app drawer. It also seems to be pretty snappy.
I will probably use this for my main launcher which I am surprised to say about a version of TW...lol. Great job on this!

Download to sdcard and then boot into cwm and look for install zip from sdcard, not the flash update.zip option. U will see your sdcard file layout find the file u downloaded and install. Hope this helps. Also when u reboot hit home and go to preferences and uncheck Landscape. It was causing force close on me everytime.

I noticed issues if I tried to use more than 5 icons on the dock. Also get a black screen if I use my samsung desk home app. Not a big deal but only happens with sgs 4g not my vibrant both running tw 4.
Love tw 4.... never thought I would see love and touch wiz together.

Hmm. I reflashed KD1 and installed.beta 3 cw again, and it still keeps rebooting constantly. Im lost. When i get home i guess i could try odin.

It runs smooth.
This is CWM flashable. Remember to take backup of your existing bootanimation.zip from /system/media location.

Step 1: Using root explorer or similar app, go to /system/media
Step 2: Copy the existing bootanimation.zip file to /sdcard
Step 3: download the file in OP to your /sdcard
Step 4: reboot to recovery
Step 5: Install zip from sdcard and flash it
Step 6: reboot
Step 7 (optional): If you didnt like this new bootanimation and want the old bootanimation (pink unicorn) back ...using rootexplorer copy the bootanimation.zip (from Step2) to /system/media

Just use Super Manager. Works like a charm. Be sure to enable the root function in the settings.

As long as we have this forum, we have lots of helpful people to get us out of it.
I take it that I should always use my computer when downloading things for my phone... My brother has a vibrant and he always just downloads his roms straight to his phone.. Anyway I've realized that when I place the file on my phone from the computer my result's have always been great.. Thanks again... One question though what us dalvik cache.. And are we supposed to clear it every once in a while

I make a habit to clear it every time I flash something new. After you flash, you can wipe it in the Advanced menu in CWM. When your phone reboots, be sure to not touch ANYTHING and let it sit for 10-15 minutes to let it rebuild. If you don't, your phone will lag.
If you didn't give sufficient time for your phone to rebuild the dalvik cache, you can always go into the Advanced menu in CWM and wipe it again. You'll just have to wait the 10-15 minutes again.

This is the only one of the ICS roms that caused trouble. installed with tiny fonts, on reboot it went into bootloops, and I had to reinstall from stock. Everything was wiped before installation.

It has tiny font cause I set its density to 200dpi by default - cause its given me best experience , if u dont like it, u can set the build.prop, at the density line to 240 and everythig should be ok (or flash another font I provided to have thicker font...other than that, I have no issues except ones from OP

I had no problems with installation. I experienced slight lag while scrolling apps, but I'm sure the Rom just needed to cook some more before I started messing with stuff lol. I loved the tiny font, the settings menu scrolls like butter and the response time for bringing up the multitask menu is amazingly fast.

a few times a day typically - so its just me experiencing this, eh?
@MatisyahuSerious haven't had that problem. I deleted all my music but i tried test tones for ya. No error though the test is only 5 seconds.
Does it stop in the middle or at the begining?
Could be a corrupt file?
And as for the lag in the app drawer I mentioned earlier, haven't had the problem since i jumped back into the rom.

I am loving the rom however It is not allowing me to download a lot of my apps from the playstore. I recently wanted to load my lose it app but it tells me that my device is not supported. What does the play store see the phone as? Thank you in advance.
Edit build.prop and change dpi to 240 or you might be able to do it from the actual settings menu.
That's weird because I thought I would have issues with the dpi and the Play Store but I do not. I wonder why others have it

Tested by Hatememarkz this works [Verified on Cm9] All instructions are located in link.
Be sure to Mount System before you flash the zips then unmount before reboot to not get stuck at boot screen.
Also be sure to make a current nandroid backup incase something goes wrong and you always wanna undo changes.

I just tested this on cm9 & cm10 and neither would boot after installing. I followed the instructions in the thread. I think its safe to say that this will not work on our phone.

Also tried the audio, with Walkman and soft bricked. Luckily I have everything on my computer and was able to get into cwm. All is good now. Don't know if it was Walkman or acid will test further tomorrow

I flash audio with no issues, I didn't use Walkman. Also Sara worked for me you don't flash I you just click and install. Its a beta if you type in questions it works just not voice activated yet

oh,i saw somewhere some good performance settings for CM9 for a first time flasher to get a good setup/performance going.
i believe it was to set MIN/MAX to 368/1024 and INTERACTIVE GOV.and something with 2048kb read/write speed with the sdcard.
i believe it was posted by someone in the CM9 thread,id dig for it but its 2:30 AM and i have work soon.

No I'm running Cm9, ok people today they are evacuating my whole neighborhood here on the shoreline in Cinnecticut. I have no access to my home PC, I grabbed a few USB drives and a laptop but If we lose internet Idk how much work I'll be able to apply to this thread today. I have actually 3 new releases headed our way. I'm going to be releasing 2 themes and StatusBar Tweaks(For Cm9 & Cm10 Based Roms). The themes are self explaining. The "Status Tweaker" is my own creation, it will give you options such as Animated Scroll Down Backgrounds, Scrolling Notification, transparency tweaks 25%-50%-75%-Normal, I've setup some different staus Icons you can use also. These are changed by placing of different systemui.apks and frameworks. Basically you place the ones you want in the zip using a file manager and then flash. Can you tell me what i did wrong? I flashed the ROM then GAPPS. but for GAPPS there was two. One for 4.1 and the other for 4.2.1. I chose 4.1.
Idk what you did. Back up all your data with titanium backup, wipe system, data and cache. Flash ROM and 4.1 gapps and try and I stall it again.

Dots Per Inch.
DPI sets how much stuff is able to fit on the screen.

What does Boot Animation have to do with DPI?

Well, obviously that's not a solution.
Reflash the rom, but before you transfer it to your sd card, open it up in 7zip, go to /system/build.prop. Change ro.lcddensity or something like that from 182 to 240. Then reflash. It will work.

Why tell someone to unzip something to make a build prop edit? There are a lot of apps on the market that will do the same thing WITHOUT having to reflash anything. Also if your gonna tell someone to play around with a .prop file make sure you get the name right. It's:

Telling people to open then edit props can easily lead to a bootloop. It's much safer for most users to use System Tuner or another equivalent program. Edit that value. Reboot. Done.
I'm sure that cm10 also has an lcd density option in the settings app that walks you through changing the lcd density to allow custom dpi settings to work with Google Play. I know both AOKP jb and slim jb have the setting

The edit will stick if you uninstall it so it doesn't matter. It's a pretty handy app to have of you plan on playing more with your phone though. It does a lot.
Can you answer one more thing? My Camcorder doesn't work only my Camera can you tell me why?

It's a known bug and is being worked on. If you read the ROM OP you'll see a list of all bugs.
