My brother and me created this app launcher of Gallery for Xperia X10 with FW 2.1
It is different than this method described in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=826250
The X10 FW 2.1 hides the Gallery 3D launcher, so we use the easiest harmless way to fix this by creating an application that will launch the Gallery 3D.

Music Widget not supported by this app.
In order to properly bring up all features of Music and its Widget, you need someone with knowledge of decompile, recompile and repackaging of APK.
FYI.
What i make is not a Gallery application, nor i hack or do anything with the existing Gallery. What i post here is a standalone application that acts as a shortcut or launcher to existing Gallery application in your phone.
This app works with any Android 2.1 which have Gallery shortcut hidden by manufacturer.
Nice work now i can remove mediascape

is it possible to do this for the stock music player? i want to remove mediascape. but i dont want any lternative software except the android stock ones.

You might wanna try WinAmp for your music player replacement. But i advising you not to remove/uninstall MediaScape because most of things depends on it, might cause you problem. Just leave it there, won't do any harm.
I will check to see if the phone still have the stock media player inside.
FYI:
The launcher i make is not the gallery app it self, it just a application that work as a shortcut to open Gallery, since the default app launcher is hidden by SE.

Doable, though its very limited like music. I can only make the launcher, but widget and the rest its beyond my capability currently.

If you happen to use Launcherpro, just press Add-Shortcuts-Activities-Galllery/Music from the homescreen

I've been using the Kindle Fire app (posted here) and it does work, but all of the preview images do not load.
No problems with the play store app, but there is still a bit of a delay with the preview images loading.

hello, how can i enable picasa web album syncin in the gallery app of moto g? i dont like the google+ photo app and i want all-in-one in gallery app
I am having the same issue.
The gallery on my nexus 7 and 10 show my photos, but this MotoG version does not. They are all running 4.3.
why this? anybody has any tips about this?
I asked about this on the Google+ Community page before Christmas. They use the AOSP Gallery app which doesn't have Picasa integration. You'll have to use Google Photos sadly.

When I ran Gallery for the first time the gallery contained a Picasa album folder which I don't want to show. I disabled syncing of picasa under google and the pics remained I went to picasa google + etc. and deleted the folder but it still shows on my tab pro even when I look at picasa with other devices the folder is gone. I tried restarting the tab pro and the pics are still there. Any ideas how to get rid of them?
Go under the gallery menu and pick contents to display, unchecked picasa

The Camcorder APK might required to be put in /system/app. But the Group Play can be installed as normal APK.
I think this is a cool app, you can create video like Matrix with a 360 degree, just need a skill in editing
Yeah it would be fun, if it works. The Group play app looks nice, but indeed, the cam option fc.
The camrecorder option fc would like to have this feature working
