[Q] Black Android theme for Galaxy Fit????

Hi guys
I've been going through ways to modify my Galaxy fit. I've tried launchers, but they're not too satisfactory for me. Then I came across this amazing custom rom for the galaxy S:

The minimal black looks superb, right? Is there any way someone can port this for the Galaxy Fit???? Please????

I was wondering the same thing.. could that HDPI Status bar icons can be import on our device ? sigh I just hope there'd be a lot more themes for XWKQ2 rom, I want an Ice cream Sandwich theme too with a better HDPI / MDPI status notifcation icons and as well as the status bar icons.

Download Root Explorer or Any other file manager
Gain Root permissions
Go to /system/app and copy the systemUI.apk to the external SD card

Some suggestion: It would be great if you could add auto arrange alphabetically support in app drawer for these to be developed themes and also transparent background for the app drawer.

HI bangalorerohan, it is hard to do so? I ask because i just realised that what i have is a S5670L (latin america) so i guess all what you guys develope wont work for my device. Then if you write a how to, maybe i can give a try or else translate it to spanish and get some extra hands on it. so what do you think?

I got the files. And, The phone what you are ahving if Galaxi Fit Mini..I think. The MODS of the Samsung Galaxy Fit wont work for the Galaxy Mini! So, I dont think these themes and all are gonna work! You can give it a try anyways

S5670 is the Samsung Galaxy Fit.
S5570 is the Galaxy Mini.
And there is no such thing as "Galaxy Fit Mini"

well this the issue, 5670´s roms intalled on 5670L causes wifi and blutooth not working and isues with diplay brighness, in order to work correctly must be rom for 5670L, I will give a try but incase of trouble, should i just to flash again the rom i already have??

Ups , my mistake, Here is the right one!!

(GUIDE) How to port roms!

As the title speaks, here is a guide on porting roms.
For porting roms from mini,
1.download the rom (obviously)
2.Extract the rom through winrar
3.Go to system folder
4.Go to system/lib/modules. Delete everything there and replace with the ones for our device.
5.Then go to system/lib/hw. delete everything there and replace with yours.
( The "/hw" directory as you can see contains the files which control the sensors and lights such as GPS and the accelerometer. )
6. Then for the soft keys and hard keys to work, go to system/usr/keychars and system/usr/keylayout and replace with yours
7. Now go to system/etc. Then delete these items and replace with the ones meant for our device.
- vold.fstab
- /wifi
- /ppp
If u are porting cm7 from mini, use the boot.img of any cm7 rom here. eg. Vishwanath patil's cm7 boot.img .
For ace,
Do the above things , then resize framework-res.apk, systemui.apk and other apk's like dialertabactivity.apk, phone.apk!
For other devices, (other manufacturers)
(Eg. Cm7)
Extract the cm7 meant for our rom. Then delete app and framework folder. Then go to the rom u wanna port. Copy framework and app folder. And paste it in the cm7 made for our device.
For porting kernels,
unpack the boot.img of the rom u wanna port. Open init.rc and copy the things after bootpath.
repack ur ramdisk!
For camera to work on the ported roms, replace these wid urs,
libarccamera.so
libcamera.so
libcameraservice.so
libcamera_client.so
libCaMotion.so
liboemcamera.so
libseccamera.so
libseccameraadaptor.so
Note: Camera will work, but replace the camera.apk from our device to the ported one for 5 megapixels!
And plz dont spam the development section with ports
Use it for your personal use!

Try this version here but left in mind that not everyone can use ported rom using this method :´D

If u follow my method correctly, it'll wrk! And it wil be bug free! i've ported 2 roms and both are bugfree!

Sir will this method work if i port Sam Galaxy Y Rom?

I've now had to edit two posts because of bad language and personally attacking another member. Needless to say, that is a violation of the rules and has no place in a thread discussing the porting of ROMs.

[TUTORIAL] How to Add Themes and Mods Into a Custom Rom

Things you will need: 7ZIP (or other compression tool), An unzipped rom and Notepad++
1. Download the Mod or Theme you wish to add and open it with 7ZIP.
2. Drag all of the folders/files EXCEPT Meta-INF into your rom's folder (copy and replace all of the files that have the same name)
3. In your Mod/Theme, open the updater script with Notepad++ (located in META-INF/com/google/android)
4. Copy all of the text in the Mods updater script and then paste it at the bottom of your rom's updater scipt (they're both in the same location).
5. Save it.
6. Done
I hope this guide will help save some time and enhance your roms (Also, please make sure to ask permission for the work you use!) :good:

There's many guides on the subject but I've never done it personally...have you tried flashing it to see if it works without the need to port? The phones are similar so you may not have too. Just make sure you make a backup haha Here are some guides on it http://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=How to port a theme Hope this helps!

Sory for interrupting but why do we add the update-script? I mean after I finish the whole process, it occured some eror while flashing. Why is this happening?

.- Download & flash the Zip via recovery.
IF IT DONT WORK, use MANUAL INSTALL

for Lollipop ROM's:
- extract all the files from my zip.
- put the "textinput-tng" folder into /system/app

- reboot, done.
for 4.x & up ROM's:

This port not working on 4.2.2 stock rom. It is specified in original post...
You can try to solve by replacing this original file "libswiftkeysdk-java.so" into the folder /system/lib. Then reboot.

Hello guys,
You know this too? You want a new bootanimation for your Samsung Device, but then you realize you cant use Bootanimation.zip files?
Well thats really sad and i had this Problem a long time. BUT now i know how to make .qmg files and i dont want to use it only for myself so i open
this Service for all now. You can now transform bootanimation.zip files to .qmg files. Easy, Free and Fast.
How to start?
Well i will transform it for you, please never forget this that i make this with my own hands and a Programm ^^ so it cant be instant ready.
So you need: A way to upload the File , a bootanimation.zip file with all the 3 Parts in it (part0, part1, part2) and some patience ^^.
First of all send me the File for the Bootanimation.zip file. I will open them and transform them into .qmg files. But please remember:
part0 will be bootsamsung.qmg
part1 will be bootsamsungloop.qmg
part2 will be shutdown.qmg
So please keep this in mind.
AND DONT FORGET: Samsung will AutoFit the .qmg file to the screen. So if the Animation dont have the right Resolution for your Device it could look wreid.:fingers-crossed:
What will happen now?
Your brandnew Bootanimation will be reworked by me and then send to you.
I will answer your Post with the Link to download the qmg files they will be put together in a .rar file btw.
It only takes 1 or 2 Days most of the time. If i need more time i will message you (For example if i have to learn for a Test)
How to use this Files now?
Well there are 2 Ways the
Easy Noob way: Download this App https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tkstudio.sboot give the app Root permission (YES YOU NEED ROOT) and then go to where the files are. and select them in the right order ^^ easy right?.
and the
Pro Funny way: get ES File Explorer copy all the 3 .qmg files and put them to /system/media. Then select every single .qmg animation and go to Properties. Change the permissions to rw- r- r- and ready.
Now restart your Phone and you are fine with your new bootanimation ^^
BUT I WANT SOUND, TOO. HOW CAN I GET THIS?
Well you dont even have to send me the File. You need Es File Explorer for it btw
Just cut a small part from your favourite song or Sound Effect and rename it PowerOn.ogg . Now move it to /system/media/audio/ui and keep pressing on it until the little bar on the bottom appear. Go to More>Properties and change Permissions to rw- r- r- ( At read check all Ticks. And at write check the first tick)
Thats all now restart Phone and enjoy sound!

Hello the Second bootanimation cant work there is only part0. Should i contiune anyway? If yes this will be Bootsamsung.qmg or Bootsamsungloop.qmg. Btw you decide you can also tell me this should be Shutdown.qmg

The Problem isnt that it dont work...
The Problem is that i dont know which part should it be?
Should it be the Bootanimation? The BootLoop animation? Or the Shutdown animation?
