Will the new gingerbread Rom for Optimistic 3D work for the Thrill, if yes which Rom would work best?
It might need minor modifications in order for it to work. At least I think so.

Hello all,
i'm trying to port or install the MIUI rom for Optimus 3D. I've tried some things, but i don't know how start.
Somebody can help me or tell if the port will be avaible some day?
(I'm trying to install 2.3 MIUI without 3D support) OMAp4 compatible ROM and port it.
The official miui webs for more info: www.miui.com www.miuiandroid.com
Best regards
Well MIUI is based on CM7 and we know that aremcee has got it running on O3D so in theory it should be possible, but I don't know of any other OMAP4 phones to port it from, which would probably mean building it from scratch which would be really hard to do...
Unless there is another phone with similar hardware running it, then you could pull bits from CM7 to try to get it running, but that would mean getting CM7 for the O3D and I don't think aremcee will release it until its running properly with all the 3D bits working

It is really a hard job dude. We should wait for CM7 at first.
It will not support 3d currently i guessed.
Sent from my LG-P920 using XDA App
guys cm7 is out (alpha) well now hope that the problems are getting killed, and i think after that miui will be available for our phones so again we have to wait
does the roms or the themes on the lg optimus 2x forum work in the lg g2x?? just wondering ???
No they don't and if u flash a rom from the 2x to the g2x you can brick your phone. And I flash a theme from the 2x to my g2x to try since its less risky and I got in bootloop
yea i tried 2 thanks they have some good roms in that section but to bad we cant install it on the g2x
i know right. I wish our devs find a way to teak the builds since is the only thing different
yea i guess we wait for now also the optimus 3d roms are awsome hehe wish some of these n3rds make a rom base on those
You obviously didn't read the sticky at the top of the General section.

Will the kernel from G2X (P999) work for the Optimus2X (P990) (Worldwide)
having the CyanogenMod-7 for Optimus 2X - NIGHLTIES (2.3.7) GB ROM?
I am talking about this Kernel:
[Kernel]CM7 [2.6.32.45] (v0.4.3) OC~1.55GHz/UV/SLQB/BFQ/EXT4/Voodoo [Oct-13]
By faux123.
Or does it work only for T-mobile G2X?
Anyone? I am really looking forward to test it.
Thank you!
I am not positive but I dont think they are compatable. Even on the g2x that kernel is not for 2.3.5 or .7 based roms. I think it is for 2.3.3 based roms only and only on the g2x. Again I am not positive but that is the impression I get.
The kernels aren't compatible across devices.
No. The kernels are compiled with device drivers and for your specific memory partitioning. Since the G2X and the O2X have different device drivers, different basebands and different partitioning, flashing this kernel could seriously ruin your day, including soft-bricking your phone. Almost nothing the G2X community is doing is compatible for the O2X (my root zips are an exception as they work on almost any device) and vice versa.
Unless you want a pretty paperweight, you better stick with using kernels listed specifically for your phone.
Sent from my Cyanogen-filled G2x or my Galaxy Tab 10.1 now "In Paris"
You can always try them... since you'll do it via recovery.. you can flash another one if it doesnt boot
Hi all. I've got my O3D coming tomorrow and want to root it and install a different rom but not sure what to go for. I've had a look around and I'm interested in the ThiaiZO3D rom along with the v6 supercharger. I've currently got a hannspree hannspad tablet which I've modded with CWM and custom rom so I'm familiar with android and Modding. My current phone at the moment is the Nokia N900 which I've also modded. Ive also had a play with my mate O3D and loved it which is the reason i bought one. Here's a few questions I would like answering please.
1) what rom is best in terms of reliability, fast and responsive?
2) will installing the tegra software work fine with a custom rom like ThiaiZO3D for example?
3) is the camera mod in the development section worth installing, also is it installed via CWM?
That's all for now.
Thank you very much. Ashley.
I think the Thiai Rom is currently good choise but.i try to test king 3d. He release v2.2 this week and i think its a great alternately to Thiai Rom.
Sorry for bad English
send from 3rd Dimension with LG Optimus 3D
1) Think ThiaiZ with V6 is the way to go. If you want to have new kernel go for Koala or King. But for me it seems ThiaiZ stock runs smoother.
2) Sorry didn't try
3) Yes and yes. Look the amazing comparison pics in its thread.
I just installed ThiaiZ yesterday and also used the v6 script but cant actually notice any difference. Swiping between screens has a little 'judder' as it scrolls, I haven't actually tried any games but overall performance seems the same.
I haven't had the phone crash yet like I did on the stock ROM; but time will tell.
seems like thaiz rom, is one of the most stable one in this forum since it is stock based. But im not upgrading to 1.5.3 anytime soon, cuz i love my stock browser too much . i think it gets the job done, simple and easy to use. might upgrade if thaiz decided to put the browser in again
ok so i just rooted and flashed cwm and made a back and put the back up on my comp for safe keeping.
now the big question what rom???
i have a lg optimus 3d p925g on rogers canadain network i think its v10 not to sure were to find this. still stock 2.2.2 firmware.
so im looking for a rom that removes all the useless apps and junk i dont need, looks stock and helps the battery problem.
thx for the info.
